"Hehe, you think you're pretty tough, don't you?" Jonathan couldn't help but let out a cold laugh after hearing Brentley's words.
"Brentley, are you tired of living? Do you even know who my brother-in-law is? Do you have any idea who you're talking to? Don't think that just because you bought this villa, everyone is afraid of you!" Wynter shouted at Brentley with her big eyes glaring.
"Exactly, you really think you're something just because you have some money? It's just a lousy villa! My sister was only joking with you earlier. Do you really think I'd quit my job just because you said so? Naive!" Jessica sneered with confidence by Jonathan's presence.
In their eyes, Brentley might have some money, but Jonathan was the eldest son of the Rodriguez Family in Sunshire City, with impressive connections and background. Brentley, a mere upstart, couldn't compare.
"You said before that if I bought this villa, you would quit. So today, if you don't quit, none of you are leaving," Brentley replied to Jessica in a calm tone.
In truth, if it weren't for Jonathan's arrogant behavior, Brentley wouldn't have wanted to escalate the situation. But Jonathan's attitude had really annoyed him. Now that his wealth was out in the open, Brentley decided it was time to get back at Jessica and Wynter.
Caroline looked at Brentley with admiration after hearing his words, thinking he looked incredibly cool when he said them.
Even Wynter, standing behind Jonathan, couldn't help but feel a bit dazed. The Brentley sitting on the sofa now seemed like a completely different person from the one she had met yesterday, who had endured everyone's insults without daring to talk back. His demeanor had undergone a dramatic transformation.
"Kid, you won't let me leave? Fine, I won't leave then," Jonathan sneered at Brentley. "I won't let you leave. Today, you're definitely not going anywhere!" Brentley declared with authority.
Jonathan chuckled, "Ha! In Sunshire City, no one can stop me, Jonathan Rodriguez. I'm leaving, and let's see what you can do about it."
Jonathan, clearly irritated, began striding towards the exit of the sales office. Jessica and Wynter were both watching. There was no way Jonathan would back down in front of them.
"Mr. Rivera, get the security to stop this man!" Brentley turned and ordered him.
"Young Master Carter, this is Young Master Rodriguez..." his expression showed his hesitation. "If you can stop him, I'll buy that $30 million villa in your estate right now!" Brentley said nonchalantly.
Earlier, when Caroline had been showing Brentley around, she had mentioned the most luxurious villa, but she assumed that even a super-rich heir like Brentley wouldn't spend that much money on it. Hence, she didn't go into too much detail.
Everyone present was stunned by Brentley's words. Jessica, Wynter, and Jonathan were all taken aback.
That $30 million villa was famous in Sunshire City. Many people were curious about what kind of wealthy individual would be able to afford it.
But now, Brentley was saying he would buy it. How could anyone not be shocked?
"Young Master Carter, are you... are you serious?" Mr. Rivera stammered.
He was beyond excited, stammering as he shouted at Brentley.
"I never joke around!" Brentley replied calmly, "Neither do I."
Mr. Rivara hesitated visibly. Although Jonathan was someone he didn't dare to offend, if Brentley could really buy that mansion worth over $30 million, Forrest would earn a commission of nearly $1 million. Additionally, every employee in the sales office would receive a $10,000 bonus.
This kind of money was like a windfall for him and the other employees. Who wouldn't be tempted? "Forrest, do you really think this kid has the money to buy that mansion?" Jonathan seemed to notice Mr. Rivera wavering and shouted loudly.
"Gene, tell him whether I have the money to buy that mansion," Brentley turned and said softly to Gene.
Gene was taken aback by the request, then wiped the cold sweat off his face and said in a low voice, "Young Master Carter indeed has the money to buy that mansion!"
Gene had come to deliver a check to Brentley on the direct orders of the bank President. Before Gene left, the President specifically instructed him that Brentley could spend as much money as he wanted today.
Although Gene didn't know Brentley's true identity, he understood the weight of the President's words.
Seeing Gene confirm that Brentley could indeed buy the mansion, his expression turned excited. He shouted, "What are you security guards standing around for? Stop those three!" With a clatter, more than a dozen security guards immediately blocked the entrance.
Inside the sales office, all the saleswomen were now blocking Jonathan , Wynter and Jessica.
After all, if Brentley really bought that villa, each of them would receive a $10,000 bonus. So, they completely disregarded their previous friendship with Jessica and stood firmly on Brentley's side.
Seeing this, Brentley couldn't help but smile faintly. At this moment, he finally understood the saying, "Money makes the world go round."
Standing beside Brentley, Caroline was utterly shocked. She had originally thought that if Brentley Carter could buy a $7,365,000 villa, she would get a handsome commission. But who could have imagined that Brentley was now planning to buy the largest and most expensive villa in Sunshire City?
Moreover, he was seizing this opportunity to get rid of Caroline's arch-nemesis, Jessica. How could Caroline not be overjoyed?
"What are you all doing blocking my way? Have you all lost your minds? How could someone like Brentley possibly buy that villa? You've all been tricked by him!" Jessica shouted excitedly at the security guards in front of her.
Wynter stood there dumbfounded, thinking only one thing: Could Brentley really afford to buy that villa? After all, everyone had doubted the authenticity of that check before.
If Brentley really had the money to buy that villa, then calling him a rich second-generation heir would be an understatement.
"Mr. Rivera, are you sure you want to go against me?" Jonathan turned his head towards him, his expression extremely angry.
"Young Master Rodriguez, Jessica did say that if Young Master Carter bought that villa, she would resign. So, if you can get Jessica to resign voluntarily, I will let you leave immediately," he replied softly.
"Make Jessica resign?"
Jonathan couldn't help but let out a cold laugh.
In truth, Jonathan didn't care much about Jessica's job. What bothered him was the idea of losing face if he actually made her resign today. It wasn't about the resignation itself; it was about his pride.
"Alright, you must have some serious guts to even think about stopping me!"
Jonathan sneered again, then pulled out his phone with a blank expression. "You all just wait. I'll have my uncle bring some people over right now. I'll show you that in a small place like Sunshire City, having a bit of money doesn't mean you can do whatever you want!"
Mr. Rivera and Gene froze the moment they heard Jonathan was calling his uncle. Their faces turned pale with fear. "Young Master Carter... maybe we should let this go for today. The Rodriguez Family is really not to be messed with! You should let them leave..."
Gene stammered, clearly terrified, as he spoke to Brentley.
