"That's all you have to know, Shiro. I wish he didn't over-exert himself, but he chose to take a risk on his durability." Roya spoke, her voice withering with disappointment. Shiro looked down at her before a few words escaped from his mouth,
"Who did this to Cera." Roya looked up with a sense of shock in her face. Something seemed different from the way he had just spoken, it's as if...he knew what had to happen. She quickly held onto Shiro's arm, gripping onto it tightly. She wasn't going to let him go until she knew exactly what he was thinking. From the shallowness in his eyes, the bandages on his head, there wasn't much that Roya could actually say, so with a deep breath out, she held him tighter,
"What happened isn't your focus right now. Remember what Lord Eryx said. Our focus is what lies in Deeper Averune. Revenge isn't for us right now. It's way too early to even conjure up the thought of a counter attack." Roya spoke, still keeping her hands on Shiro.
With a slight look, he looked at her, tilting his head as he thought. Killing all of the Nullum, saving the people of Averune and places alike..? They all rest in Deeper Averune...but there's more for us to do.
Clenching his fist tightly, a smile bloomed directly onto his face. One of pure intent. He quickly held onto Roya's shoulder, revealing his wide grin. For some reason, Roya couldn't tell what was occurring in his head, but if there was one thing that she possibly could've inferred, it was that...
HE IS THE SAVIOR OF AVERUNE.
With the flutter of his robes, he was equipped with a sword and the necessities to survive. With a quick gesture of his hands, he rubbed off his messy robes, taking a deep breath. But then, a thought conjured in his head. He had a question he needed to ask Roya.
"Roya...How am I gonna get to Deeper Averune..? If Cera's airlines aren't exactly operating, what's the fastest way there??" Shiro looked at Roya, who seemed to have an idea in her head.
"The way your face looks just tells me it's not going to end up well...." Shiro's face had gone from one of excitement to one of slight fear.
A few hours had passed since she recommended an idea. As Roya was focusing on healing Cera's body outside, she saw a glistening silhouette in the distance, a tall guy, black haired with eyes sharp and red. Wearing a simple fur coat, his presence glowed as he crossed the bridge towrds Roya and Shiro with a smile.
"When in doubt, you know who to call." The man spoke as the pressure in the air increased, his hair flowing as Roya stood up, pointing over at the door as it suddenly flicked open, Shiro walking out with a smirk on his face.
"Shiro, meet-"
"No need for unworthy introductions, Roya. I'll do it myself. You focus on what you're doing." He spoke as his aura surrounded the entire area, his cloak slightly moving as he smirked.
"My name is Kami." He spoke as Shiro looked at him before it turned into a blank stare of pure confusion.
"So- like- God..?" Shiro spoke, his tone blunt.
"Yeah."
Shiro looked back at Roya, completely lost before looking back at Kami. "So, what's the name Kami for..?" He asked.
"He's the strongest. Nobody knows how, but when he was born, I was told there was a prophecy that matched his. They say he's a name of legends, an incarnated deity in human form." Roya explained while still healing Cera. Shiro looked in shock, looking back at him. Everything about him seemed perfect. How would Roya be able to get ahold of somebody like him..?
"I know what you're thinking. How could Roya get somebody as strong as me standing here right now? Well, you'll learn.." Kami laughed as he walked over to Shiro, tapping him on the shoulder. With a whiff of his nose, he slowly stepped back. Something felt wrong about Shiro's scent. It reeked of a powerful energy.
"Roya, does he usually..?"
"Yeah. The only thing that can seal the smell is the talisman, but obviously, Cera's powers aren't passive right now." Roya spoke, disappointed until she heard a slap. A talisman had been marked on the side of Shiro's head as it flashed rainbow, the energy being drained out of him. Kami stared at him, patting him on the shoulder once again, then gently tapping on his chest.
"I see what your situation is now. Your powers don't work, or, you don't know how to use them. I'll impart a tutorial to you. Just read through it while we travel." Kami laughed as he grabbed Shiro's collar, lifting him up. With a flicker of Kami's legs, a whirring sound was heard. Roya looked up with a sense of worry.
"Make sure to keep Shiro safe. If anything happens, I won't forgive you." Roya spoke, her voice serious. Kami looked at her with a smile before focusing on the sky, leaping within a second. The journey to Deeper Averune had begun.
"The ability to save the entire world...is in my hands." Shiro thought, a smile barely forming on his face from the vast amounts of wind that Kami was creating. It was time for him to get revenge for his friends. As Kami zoomed closer, he immediately crashed into the barrier separating Averune and Deeper Averune. Within a minute, they managed to make a large explosion, smaller trees blowing away from the large gusts of wind.
"I'll deal with the bigger monsters. You can deal with the smaller ones." Kami uttered quietly enough for Shiro to hear before thousands of eyes started gazing at them. Shiro remembered this like it was yesterday. His recovery was fast, and he was already back to seek his revenge. With a nod to Kami's request, he held his sword on his back, smiling.
