Iris's POV
Trying to push the thoughts off my head, I decided to leave my room to head to Amelia's room. I hadn't seen her since I returned into my room as I wondered if she was busy. I was walking through the quiet corridors as I got to the corner, about to turn left to head to Amelia's room but suddenly, a force cornered me, and my back slammed against the cold, rough wall of the corridor. It was Zane.
My eyes, against my will, were drawn to Zane, as they always seemed to be. He stood with that familiar, almost languid confidence right in front of me with a predatory gleam in his eyes. It was a look that always seemed to say he knew something you didn't, and whatever it was, it was probably to your detriment.
