Chapter 1020 - 4194

Chapter 4194: What Did You See?

Mo Lian grew anxious seeing her standing there silently, her eyes shimmering faintly. He thought she was falling into a trance again and quickly shook her.

Second Young Master Qin coldly snorted from the side. First Young Master Qin couldn't help but look back at him. "What is it?"

"Every day, he worries she'll fall into a trance, yet he doesn't help her completely eradicate it," Second Young Master Qin sneered. "Something will go wrong sooner or later."

First Young Master Qin sighed, slowly fanning himself. "Such matters can't be rushed, can they? Second Brother, do you know why the little stoic sometimes falls into trances?" When the little stoic truly had an episode, she didn't seem alive; her eyes were lifeless, which truly made one... feel a bit distressed.

Second Young Master Qin abruptly turned his head away, coldly spitting out two words through gritted teeth: "Don't know."

"Qiao Qiao!" Mo Lian gently shook the little one, bringing her back from her daze. She looked up at him, and the little stoic gave a faint, meaningful display of her two small teeth.

"I'm fine," she whispered, turning to look at the group of black-clad men who stood with drawn swords, awaiting orders. She shook her head. "Let them go."

Even First Young Master Qin couldn't help but look at her with a touch of surprise. This little stoic... was not someone who would casually change her mind. Just as he was about to say something, he saw Qiao Mu wave her hand and walk away, pulling Mo Lian along. Aoye and the others naturally sheathed their swords and quickly followed.

Mo Lian looked back, his gaze cold, at the woman who stood half-bent, her legs trembling. Qiao Mu immediately grabbed his hand, pulling him back. She looked up at her husband, gently shaking her head.

Mo Lian raised an eyebrow, nodding reluctantly.

Ni Hanzhi, however, had no idea she had just rolled through another field of daggers and fire. How could the little stoic not know the Crown Prince's thoughts? Her own soft-heartedness didn't mean the Crown Prince would be soft-hearted. The Crown Prince often handled follow-ups, and this potentially troublesome Ni Hanzhi was definitely within the dangerous scope that the Crown Prince would eliminate.

"Qiao Qiao, what did you see just now?" Mo Lian asked softly.

Qiao Mu pondered for a moment before quietly saying, "I saw Murong Xun. And I also saw the Old Sect Master, squatting to the side, fanning himself with a palm-leaf fan, looking amused and saying, 'Ah Xun, don't fight with Sect Master Zhao anymore.'"

"'Old Zhao, you scoundrel, why are you still so narrow-minded after decades? You're hitting my disciple now, my disci... Ouch! Ah Xun, don't beat Old Zhao, his old bones can't take your torment!'"

Mo Lian reached out and pulled the little one into his embrace, patting her back gently. He looked down and smiled at her. "It's been a long time since we went back to Divine Water Sect. Let's make a detour and visit."

"If my master were still alive, I would certainly not cause her trouble everywhere like Miss Ni," Qiao Mu said, her voice low.

"Mm, my Qiao Qiao is the most sensible."

Qiao Mu nodded. "I'm very obedient."

"When Peak Master Murong wakes up, what's wrong with us accompanying her to travel all over the mountains and rivers of Divine State?"

The little stoic's eyes instantly brightened, as if a brilliant color had been infused into them.

"Crown Prince Hades and his people are coming," someone called out. Everyone looked up to see Hades and his group, protecting over a thousand elderly, weak, sick, and disabled individuals, hurrying towards them.

Upon seeing the little stoic, Hades raised an eyebrow. "Why are your eyes red?"
