Chapter 2 - The Advantages of an Orphan Background

[Reward gained — Sensing Ninjutsu]

[First time completing teaching, reward gained — Appraisal Jutsu]

[First time completing an A-rated teaching, reward gained — Fire Release Nature Transformation Mastery]

Receiving three rewards at once surprised Muyue a little. He felt a sudden influx of memories in his mind, most of which were related to the cultivation of Fire Release nature transformation.

The memories were incredibly vivid, giving Muyue the illusion that he was an old ninja who had specialized in Fire Release his entire life.

"Teacher Hanyu, may I ask you something?" Shisui asked respectfully.

Hearing Shisui's words, Muyue, who was about to re-examine the panel evaluation, stopped. He led Shisui to an deserted area behind the teaching building, then used Sensing Ninjutsu to check for any particularly powerful chakra signatures.

Muyue felt relieved and smiled, "Is there something you didn't understand from class? Go ahead and ask."

Shisui shook his head and said, "It's not about the lecture content, but I have a question."

"Teacher, you know that the Senju clan and the Uchiha clan jointly founded Konoha, but why does everyone only remember the Senju clan now and rarely mention the Uchiha's contributions?"

Though a child, Shisui was exceptionally mature and sensitive. When out with elders, he noticed the strange looks pedestrians gave them when they saw their clan emblem on their backs.

They were both founding contributors to the village, so why were the Uchiha's contributions not only unmentioned but also seemingly disliked by the villagers? Shisui didn't quite understand.

Looking at the bewildered Shisui, Muyue secretly complained in his heart, "What's Hashirama Senju's reputation in Konoha, and what's Madara Uchiha's reputation in Konoha? Can they even compare?"

"You've probably only read some history from within your clan, haven't you?" Muyue asked.

Shisui nodded. All he had access to at the moment was the history provided by the Uchiha.

"The reason things are the way they are now is because many things happened. It's hard to explain clearly in a short amount of time." Muyue's face showed a hint of difficulty.

Seeing Muyue's difficulty, Shisui felt guilty. It seemed this question was more complex than he had imagined. He was about to say never mind, but Muyue spoke again.

"Forget it. If you have time after school, come find me, and I'll tell you about this history." Muyue sighed.

"After all, I owe your Uchiha clan a favor. Consider it repaying that favor."

Shisui was a bit confused why Muyue would owe the Uchiha a favor, so he asked directly.

"My parents were surrounded by enemies in a war and were saved by a ninja named Kagami Uchiha. Although they eventually died in a later war, I've always remembered that life-saving grace." Muyue said with a grateful expression, making things up on the spot.

He was grateful that the original body had long been an orphan; otherwise, his room for improvisation would have been much smaller.

He had to admit, sometimes dead people were more useful than living ones.

Shisui's eyes widened, an incredulous expression on his face. Kagami Uchiha was indeed his grandfather. He never expected that he and Muyue would have such a connection, and he felt a very strange sensation.

However, Shisui wasn't the type of person to exploit favors, so he didn't make a fuss, merely thanking Muyue.

Before Shisui left, Muyue used Appraisal on him.

[Name: Uchiha Shisui]

[Chakra: 500]

[Potential: SS-]

[Evaluation: Six Paths bloodline, suitable for cultivating Fire Release and Genjutsu, immense potential, recommended for discipleship]

As Muyue walked towards the office, he couldn't help but marvel, "As expected of the powerhouse who could activate Susano'o with a single Mangekyo Sharingan." The two shimmering S's were truly dazzling, and even the system recommended taking him as a disciple.

Muyue then opened his own panel to check if his evaluation had changed.

[Name: Hanyu Muyue]

[Age: 18]

[Chakra: 4300]

[Evaluation: Master of Fire Release nature transformation. What limits your strength is your scarce chakra. If you can compensate for this weakness, you are fully capable of being considered an elite among Jonin]

"It seems that 'Fire Release Nature Transformation Mastery' is even stronger than I imagined." Muyue felt that he might have underestimated the value of those two words, 'Mastery'.

He originally thought it might only be equivalent to a Jonin's knowledge of nature transformation, but now it seemed that, purely in terms of Fire Release nature transformation, he might already be at the level of the Third Hokage.

After all, he only knew two Fire Release jutsus, along with Body Flicker, the Three Body Technique, and some basic taijutsu. At this level, after receiving the reward, and with an increase in chakra, he could reach the level of an elite Jonin.

An elite Jonin should at least be at the level of Kakashi and Asuma at the beginning of the story.

His strength had greatly increased, and Muyue was originally very happy, but then he remembered his identity as a Root member, and his happiness vanished.

Firstly, having the Root's cursed seal on him made him feel very insecure. Secondly, that old geezer Danzo liked sending his subordinates to their deaths, which made him feel even more insecure.

"I need to take in some disciples quickly and increase my strength as soon as possible. Even if I can't reach the level to kill Danzo and leave freely, I need to have the ability to protect myself." Muyue set a small short-term goal for himself.

Muyue entered the office and found three other teachers sitting inside, two men and one woman, complaining about their students to each other.

He recognized them all. Teachers arrived early, and the original owner had met his colleagues before.

Muyue casually used Appraisal on each of them.

[Name: Ikeya Yu]

[Chakra: 2000]

[Potential: C]

[Evaluation: Just a Chunin cannon fodder]

The data for the three teachers were all similar, and the system appraised them all as cannon fodder.

"Sigh, I'm really unlucky. Why did Class 4, Section 2 fall into my hands? I was already teaching Class 3, Section 1." Ikeya Yu helplessly spread his hands.

"How am I supposed to teach them? Might Guy and Obito Uchiha, two of the biggest deadweights, are both in Class 4, Section 2."

"My family also arranged a blind date for me. I have to meet her tomorrow afternoon, and that's when I have class with Class 4, Section 2."

"Find a teacher who doesn't have class to help out, or just ask for leave. The blind date is more important," Aya Ueda suggested.

At this moment, Aya Ueda noticed Muyue entering and greeted him with a smile, "Teacher Hanyu, how was your first class? Were the little tips I gave you useful?"

Muyue recalled that this enthusiastic female teacher had previously worried that he, as a new teacher, would be nervous for his first class, and advised him to mentally repeat "they're all just cabbages" during his lecture.

Muyue politely replied, "Thank you, the tip was very useful, but after class, the students all advised me not to be picky about my food."

"Haha, Teacher Hanyu, you're really interesting." Aya Ueda chuckled, feeling that since Muyue was still in the mood to joke, he must have had a comfortable first class.

"Teacher Ikeya, I don't have class tomorrow afternoon. If you need it, I can cover for you." Muyue placed his lesson plans on the desk and asked, acting like a good-natured person.

Unlike other teachers, Muyue wished he had a full schedule every day. Moreover, Class 4, Section 2 had Obito and Might Guy, so he definitely wanted to check them out.

Ikeya Yu's face showed joy, and he quickly thanked Muyue, saying he would definitely treat him to a meal when he had the chance.

...

In the Hokage's office, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, stroked his goatee as he watched Muyue, who was seriously lecturing about the Will of Fire through the crystal ball. He felt that this young Root ninja was quite good, a person who understood the Will of Fire.

Danzo thought he was well hidden, but in reality, some of the ninjas trained by Root, but not on Root's official roster, were already known to the Third Hokage.

However, the Third Hokage felt that Danzo was also, to some extent, cultivating strength for Konoha, so it was acceptable as long as he didn't go too far.

But the Ninja Academy was something the Third Hokage valued greatly, so he specifically observed it himself. The surprising result was that this Root ninja's very first class was about the Will of Fire, instilling a sense of responsibility in the students, which the Third Hokage found excellent.

"Let's see his future performance. If he turns out to be a talent, I'll have him leave Root."

Muyue's current performance alone wasn't enough for the Third Hokage to demand him from Danzo.

Although, in essence, Danzo's subordinates were also his, he still had to consider his old friend's feelings.

Thinking of this, the Third Hokage stopped his Telescope Jutsu and began to process documents, planning to inspect Konoha again in the evening.

...

After finishing dinner, Shisui began searching for Muyue's residence according to the location Muyue had given him.

Muyue's residence was in the sparsely built southeastern area of Konoha, considered a remote part of Konoha, far from the main city.

Thanks to the fewer buildings there, Shisui quickly found Muyue's house: a single-story wooden house situated in a simple yard.

As soon as Shisui entered the yard, he witnessed a scene that left him wide-eyed and deeply shaken.
