Chapter 8 - Gained a Gold Mine

"The difficulty of this ninjutsu lies in instantly compressing a large amount of chakra into the shape of a fire dragon." Mu Yue demonstrated while explaining the release techniques of the ninjutsu to Shisui. Since Mu Yue had recently gained proficient mastery of Chakra Shape Transformation, he also took the opportunity to explain many of the operations involving Chakra Shape Transformation to Shisui.

"I see, I think I understand a bit." Shisui nodded, ready to try it out himself. Shisui's hands quickly moved to form the seals, his inner chakra erupted, then compressed and shaped the form.

"Fire Style: Great Dragon Fire Technique!"

Shisui opened his mouth and spewed a one-meter-tall fire dragon that shot towards the sky, spun once, and then plunged into the water.

Clap clap.

Mu Yue smiled and clapped for Shisui, saying, "I thought it might take you a few tries to succeed. It seems I underestimated your talent."

Mu Yue was genuinely surprised. He hadn't even used his Sharingan to copy it, yet he learned a B-rank ninjutsu so quickly. Was this the true worth of an SS-rank talent?

"It's because Teacher Mu Yue teaches so well," Shisui said humbly. He didn't deny that he learned things faster than ordinary people, but he also truly felt that Mu Yue taught very diligently and effectively. Aside from the first time, when Mu Yue was showing off by only using one hand seal, he used complete hand seals for all other demonstrations, slowing down and explaining everything.

"Besides, I can't say I've truly 'learned' it yet; I can only use it." Thinking about Mu Yue's Great Dragon Fire, Shisui felt he still had a long way to go to truly master it, as he was far behind in both the size and quantity of fire dragons.

"Then I'll demonstrate the Great Dragon Fire Technique a few more times for you, the 'learned' version," Mu Yue said with a smile. He was very satisfied with Shisui's humility and diligence. Looking at the constantly rising chakra on his panel, he knew Shisui hadn't been idle when he went back.

Time always passed quickly when one was focused. As Shisui immersed himself in Mu Yue's teaching, the sky quietly darkened. When Shisui released the Great Dragon Fire, he noticed the firelight was exceptionally bright, only then realizing it was almost dark. A curious thought spontaneously arose in his mind: was Teacher Mu Yue's gentle voice some kind of ninjutsu technique that made people forget the passage of time?

"Teacher, I need to head back." Shisui bid Mu Yue farewell, preparing to go home.

"I recently summarized my experience in training chakra shape transformation. Take this back and study it thoroughly." Mu Yue took out a small booklet and handed it to Shisui. Shisui paused, then took the booklet from Mu Yue and bowed in thanks. Although he didn't say many flowery words, Shisui's respect for Mu Yue had grown even deeper. He felt that Mu Yue was an excellent teacher. Even though they had only been teacher and disciple for four days, Mu Yue never held anything back. The more important something was, the sooner he taught it, never keeping secrets.

Watching Shisui's retreating figure, Mu Yue's lips curved into a smile. As expected of his strongest gold mine, it had dropped good stuff again.

[You gifted your disciple a shape transformation training manual. Due to your disciple's immense gratitude, the reward was a critical hit, granting you Wind Style: Pressure Damage (Proficient)]

A flood of memories regarding the techniques and usage of Wind Style: Pressure Damage instantly appeared in Mu Yue's mind, along with some knowledge of Wind Nature Transformation. Mu Yue was very satisfied with this reward. Wind Style: Pressure Damage was a very powerful ninjutsu, considered top-tier among Wind Style jutsus. It had a large range, strong destructive power, and could even be combined with his Fire Style ninjutsu. Moreover, the Wind Nature Transformation provided by the system would be beneficial for him to develop the nature transformation for the Rasengan. Originally, he had planned to develop the Fire Nature Transformation for the Rasengan himself, but since he now had Wind, he would definitely prioritize developing it into the Wind Release: Rasenshuriken.

After a few days of exploring, Mu Yue had roughly figured out the mechanism for teaching rewards. The rewards were influenced by two factors: the quality of the item he gave, and the disciple's gratitude towards the gift. The latter held more weight. The second day, he gave Shisui a string of snacks, and the system gave him ten shuriken. On the third day, he gave Shisui food he made himself, and the system gave him fifty chakra points. Both were food, but the reward on the third day was clearly better, obviously because the third gift had more "heart" and Shisui liked it more.

Having figured out the mechanism, Mu Yue began plotting for Shisui to drop something big. He planned to check Shisui's records at school tomorrow to find out his birthday.

The fifth day since transmigrating to the world of Naruto.

Mu Yue originally only had one class today, but a third-grade teacher in the office had something urgent and needed someone to cover their class. Mu Yue naturally wouldn't let go of such an opportunity to help others. He got twenty chakra from one class and the Great Fireball Technique from the other. This was the first time Mu Yue had received a ninjutsu he already knew, but what pleasantly surprised him was that for duplicate ninjutsu, the system directly increased his mastery experience for that ninjutsu. If it were a game, his Great Fireball would be "one-life Great Fireball" or "Great Fireball +1 enhanced."

"Teacher Hanyu, you're too easygoing. If you keep this up, other teachers will definitely ask you to cover their classes," Ueda Aya said with some concern. Mu Yue thought to himself, there's such a good thing? Then I'd love that.

"We're all colleagues, it's fine. Besides, I really enjoy teaching students," Mu Yue said with a smile. Ueda Aya was speechless for a moment, because looking at Mu Yue's expression, she felt he genuinely meant what he said. She felt it was surreal. Could such a good person really exist in the world? Covering classes without extra pay was essentially working for free.

Time quickly came to the weekend. The Ninja Academy was similar to his previous life, with school from Monday to Friday and weekends off. Due to their previous agreement, at 8 AM, Mu Yue took Obito and Might Guy to the place where he and Shisui trained, beginning their "special training."

"Why do we have to wake up so early on our days off?" Obito groaned, slumping over the desk Mu Yue had prepared in advance.

"Early? I think it's alright," Might Guy scratched his head, unable to empathize with Obito.

Mu Yue handed them the exam papers he had prepared earlier. These were papers Mu Yue had created himself based on their teaching progress, because they had only been in class for five days; he couldn't just give them last year's monthly exam paper. Furthermore, for their situation, Mu Yue didn't intend for them to tackle difficult problems. Just getting the easy points would be enough to pass.

"Teacher Mu Yue, this is..."

Before long, Shisui, who was preparing to train, also arrived. He saw Obito and Guy looking miserable while doing the exam papers, and his expression was full of confusion.

"They are fourth-year students, and I'm giving them tutoring. You can do your training, it won't be a bother," Mu Yue explained. Shisui's arrival wasn't a coincidence; Mu Yue had called him last night. As for the purpose, Mu Yue thought it would be interesting to see older students doing boring exam papers while watching their younger academy juniors practice ninjutsu.
