Rewind: To bestow a Quirk upon a lifeform, Luke must know the lifeform's anatomy like the back of his hand, intricately arranging the Quirk Factors within it while using Bioalchemy
****************
There was a neat trick to Bioalchemy.
Even though the System generated the bestowed Quirk's Stats right after bestowal, the Spirit and Stamina Consumption occurred separately.
Luke could bestow a Quirk and let it remain in a lifeform forever if he wanted to.
It did block a part of his Spirit Points, but as long as he didn't activate it, he wouldn't lose Stamina Points at all. Not to mention, before activating, there was no concept of Activity Radius as well.
A Quirk-bestowed lifeform could freely roam throughout the world without worrying about the Quirk Factors within it disappearing.
Meanwhile, Luke could cancel the bestowed Quirk from wherever he wanted. It was as easy as tugging an invisible thread of spirituality, connecting him to the lifeform, mentally.
It was only for activating the Quirk did he need the lifeform to be within a 100-meter radius.
No one knew about these neat details.
No one knew that Luke could not only control the degree of the so-called uncontrolled mutation, but he could also do so by an unprecedented degree.
No one knew that Luke could not only bestow over one Quirk to a single lifeform, but he could also bestow multiple Quirks to several lifeforms.
No one knew that Luke could not only bestow permanent Quirks as he had done with Nyx, but he could also turn the uncontrolled mutations into permanent… at the cost of the lifeform's life.
No one knew all this because — these things had yet to happen.
It had taken a decade of seclusion and experiments for Blue Site's scientists and Luke to figure out all this about Bioalchemy.
Now that he had regressed, he would make sure that no one would know the true potential of his Quirk; ever.
Booooooooom!
Crashhhhhhhhhh!!
ROARRRRRRRRRRR!!!
The birthday party was happening in a grand hall on the top floor of a multistoried tower.
On the leftmost side, bulletproof glass panels connected the floor to the ceiling, presenting a grand night view of the city.
The bulletproof glass didn't survive a second under the bombardment, though, raining inwardly at the guests.
They all eyed the monstrous creatures, then.
One was an eight-foot-tall dog with a human-like body. From the shape of its head, it looked like a Rottweiler, but the madness it possessed in its growl felt otherworldly.
White saliva was frothing from its fanged mouth, its humongous arms and legs donning not only muscles but sharp claws.
Standing on its legs, it roared at everyone, its eyes glowing red.
Next to the mutated Rottweiler was a 7 ft (2.13 m) tall, furry cat with the same human-like body. However, it was much leaner, with claws twice the size of the dog.
As it looked around with its red-glowing eyes, it let out a murderous hiss.
This was the reason Nyx kept going out in the last few months.
It took Luke weeks to bestow Quirks to the brainwashed dog and cat without getting caught. With so many eyes on him, he couldn't afford any haste.
Then, large eagles, who had already been hypnotized by Nyx, dropped both creatures from the sky, their momentum carrying them toward the bulletproof glass.
And the moment they came in the range, Luke activated their Quirks.
Now, he had only a few minutes, as the dog and cat would die after that.
Before that happened, he had a very specific task for these two at the birthday party — Cause chaos without killing anyone…
"Sand!" Mr. Reijirou's shout echoed through the hall.
Panic had overtaken the crowd, the children next to Luke running away. One of them ran right into Momo, making her slip.
The crystal fell out of her hands, rolling away on the floor.
Luke took a last glance at Momo and picked the crystal up, putting it away.
Even though the screams and shouts were bombarding his ears, he found himself surprisingly calm. Calmer than he had imagined himself to be at this moment.
"Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!"
Boommmmmmmm!!
The mutated dog shot in a direction, its feet shaking the entire floor.
Even before Sand could close up on Luke, the dog appeared in front of it, slamming its massive paw at the man.
The brown-colored shirt Sand was wearing suddenly diffused into sand particles. Before the dog's paw could land on Sand, the sand stormed around him and lashed out, becoming a scythe.
Squelch!
Blood showered as the sand-scythe punctured the dog's stomach, making Sand smirk.
The smirk melted away as soon as it had appeared. The creature behaved as if it wasn't his stomach that the sand-scythe had impaled.
With madness in its eyes, the paw landed on Sand, sending him flying. Bam!
On the other side, the mutated cat disappeared as well, becoming a blur.
The next moment it appeared, it was standing next to the R-Rated Hero: Midnight, Nemuri Kayama.
Dressed formally in a one-piece, she had arrived with Mr. Principal to attend the function on Mr. Yaoyorozu's invite.
As Momo was already a recommended student, and the Yaoyorozu Family was one of the top contributors toward UA High, it was an invitation they couldn't say no to.
There weren't many Pro Heroes attending the birthday party, to begin with.
As the mutated cat appeared next to her, hissing menacingly, a chill ran down Midnight's spine. Pink-colored aroma exploded out of her, instantly putting many people to sleep. However, to her dismay, the creature behaved as if her Quirk of putting people to sleep did not affect it.
The agile, mutated cat spun and kicked Midnight's belly with another bam, sending her rolling on the floor.
Then, with another hiss, it disappeared.
Booms and Bangs overwhelmed the grand hall as the bodyguards who had arrived with influential people tackled the Villains.
Meanwhile, Reijirou Saionji ran through the crowd in the opposite direction, his eyes latched onto Luke. He even ignored his own children as the others helped the children out.
Seeing this from afar, Sand took a deep breath, his eyes narrowing into thin needles.
Even his inner t-shirt melted away now, all the sand around him becoming dozens of daggers. Running forward, he threw the daggers with a whistling sound. The daggers lodged into the mutated dog, making it stumble back, blood mixing with froth in its mouth.
Taking advantage of the situation, Sand slipped between the dog's legs and rushed toward Luke.
The boy had his knees on the floor, holding the bird in his lap.
No. If something happened to him…
Suddenly, the space in front of Sand blurred.
A set of sharp claws came at him from below, making his pupils widen.
Sand leaned backward, barely avoiding the claws. A few of his brown hair got sliced instantly.
However, just it felt like he had dodged the attacks, the mutated cat's tail got a hold of his leg. With a hissing growl, it lifted Sand and threw him far into the wall, the sand rushing behind him to cushion the blow.
Boom!
As if that wasn't a nightmare in itself, the dog let out a mad roar, ripping the sand daggers off its body. Lifting its paws high, it slammed them onto the floor, cracking the entire floor.
All people who were yet to escape, fell to their knees, screaming.
A few of them were children, their faces pale.
Out of nowhere, like a puppet held by unseen strings, the mutated cat appeared over the children, grabbed one, and…
… threw him off the floor, his screams deafening the ears before vanishing into the thin air.
