Chapter Begins:

One month later,

Blue Site

After the Meta Puppets incident, as dubbed by the media, Mr. Reijirou confined Luke to the Blue Site permanently.

It was clear that the Villains who had attacked Momo's birthday party were being controlled by a mastermind. The dog and cat were nothing but half-completed experiments that, fortunately, succumbed to their mutations before causing any mortal injury.

Of course, the matter of Luke saving a boy using his Quirk got buried, but not as perfectly as Reijirou would have wished.

Nezu, one of the smartest Quirk users on earth, had seen Luke and Nyx.

Regardless of Luke's current confinement, it was bound to be temporary.

Luke panted hard as he tried to lift his arms, Sand eying him like the boy was prey.

Sand walked slowly, showing no signs of attacking him.

However, the hair on Luke's neck stood up, an intuition coursing through his brain. He could almost see Sand hitting him from the left like a snake.

With great urgency, Luke bent his waist backward, dodging the attack.

Sand's eyes widened. "You… dodged…"

Taking advantage given to him by his Danger Intuition, one of the powers he obtained after drinking the Seer Potion, Luke spun and instantly lunged forward, punching out.

With a low thud, his fist buried itself in the sand that had come between him and Sand's stomach.

Luke pulled away and activated Spirit Vision.

Suddenly, the world changed in his eyes.

He saw light, golden particles scattered throughout Sand's body. But, there was a fist-sized, golden blob of light in his head. As the sand shifted around him, that blob of light pulsated as well.

His Spirit Points were draining out like water from an open tap.

Keeping an eye on that blob of golden light, Luke kicked Sand's knee. The blob of light pulsated, sand already rushing to the spot between Luke's toes and Sand's knee.

Suddenly, Luke snatched his leg back and noticed that the blob of golden light in Sand's head was still lighting up.

He can't control sand in all directions instantly… Luke realized, punching out with his left hand.

With a muffled thud, it connected, Luke's knuckles pressing into Sand's sides.

Realizing what just happened, Sand's eyes narrowed.

He grabbed Luke by the back of his neck and struck him with his knee.

Even before his body registered the pain, Luke was on the floor, grabbing his stomach.

Sand looked down where Luke's fist had almost connected. He turned around, grabbed a bottle of water, and downed it in one go.

"I have nothing to teach you anymore," Sand said, walking away.

Still on the floor, Luke canceled Spirit Vision and looked at Sand's back.

[You should talk to him…]

Miss Justice was right, Luke knew.

But he didn't know what to say.

Luke couldn't even imagine what his father would have put Sand through after his disappearance that night. He had let them find himself on the same roof. By the time Sand and other bodyguards had arrived, he had already stabilized his condition after consuming the potion.

Then his father brought him here.

They hadn't talked ever since.

With a grunt, Luke sat up, taking deep breaths. "Sand…" he said, "… I am sorry."

Sand paused as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing. He looked over his shoulder and eyed Luke, stunned. Then, slowly, he held his head.

"I don't know what Mr. Reijirou will decide, Luke," he said. "Mr. Principal has been visiting your father a lot these days… Things—couldn't have been worse. Sigh!

"You need to prepare yourself. Be ready for all outcomes. If — If you decide to step out… in the society… Sigh! I wish I could teach you more… to kill…"

Shaking his head, Sand walked out of the gym.

Luke stared at the spot where Sand had been standing and wondered — could he kill if it really came to that, or not?

In his room, Luke sat on a chair, with a deck of tarot cards and a topaz pendulum chain on the table.

There were three core powers that the Seer Potion had given him, other than the enhanced memory, which wasn't much of a use in Luke's case.

One was the Spirit Vision.

It let him see the Spirit Particles, or the Quirk Factors, within a lifeform.

Also, he could tell the emotions and health of an individual by seeing the colors of their Soul. He had made some progress, but with no way to rapidly digest the potion, he hadn't mastered it yet.

The second was Danger Intuition.

He could intuitively detect danger, see obstructed objects, and hear faint footsteps, allowing him to take preemptive judgment.

The third was Divination, and the most important, it seemed.

[

It's very fascinating.

There is no Spirit World, but Divination still works.

I wonder if we can decrypt some details regarding this at higher Sequences…

]

Luke noted that, too, and brought out his Stats to look at them.

[

Blessed Stats:

— Spirit 280

— Stamina 65

]

Seer Potion had raised his Spirit by 30 Points instantly.

The System then projected that he would again another 20 by the time he digested the Potion.

Also, even though he doubled his Stamina in the last few months, he still needed to work on it; harder than ever, if he wanted to make full use of Bioalchemy.

For now, Miss Justice was teaching him everything regarding Divination since they had arrived at the Blue Site.

After many days of lengthy discussions, they decided to go with Tarot Cards, Pendulum Chain, and Dream Divinations as Luke's primary Divination methods.

"Try it," Nyx said, landing on the table. "Try one of them for me…"

Luke didn't mind the cameras watching him right now.

He was a young man with broad knowledge and insatiable curiosity. It wasn't abnormal for him to be interested in different fields as a hobby.

Not to mention, with Luke confined to the Blue Site, the Scientists would do just about anything to keep him mentally — a fact he had already confirmed in his previous life.

Luke nodded. "Nyx, give me a question of yes and no."

"Hehe…" the bird giggled mischievously. "How about this — Is Luke a virgin?"

"Nyx!" Luke gasped.

[

No. It's a great question!

Cough! I mean… you were married in your previous life, but now, you are but a child. Let's see if this causes any paradox or not.

]

Reluctantly, Luke wrote the question on a piece of paper. Then, he held the topaz pendulum in his left hand and let the gem hover just above the question.

Closing his eyes, Luke chanted the question seven times in his mind.

When he opened his eyes, he found the gem rotating clockwise.

It was a clear YES.

"Whoa…" Nyx exclaimed, surprised.

[Interesting…]

Luke's mouth twitched, not finding the matter of his virginity interesting at all.

But, there was something in it, he knew. Logic stated that his Spirituality should have connected with the Spirit World to know the answer.

But there was no Spirit World.

So with whom he was connecting while doing a Spirit Pendulum Divination?

Suddenly, Luke's head snapped back as if he could hear someone standing outside the door.

A moment later, the door opened and Sand looked inside. He approached Luke silently, his eyes landing on the question.

A blush rising on Luke's face, he crumpled the paper. "… Nyx made me…"

The corner of Sand's lips twitched. "Pack your stuff…" he said, smiling. "We are going back."
