The wind howled like a dirge across the broken hills of the Fallen Kingdom.
Stone battlements lay shattered, half-buried in ash and ivy. The skeletal remains of once-great statues loomed like mourners frozen in time, their mouths open as if still trying to sing a final hymn that never came.
Crystal stepped carefully over a fractured harp entwined in thorns. Its frame was scorched, its strings rusted. She knelt beside it, fingers trembling, and hummed.
The harp responded...barely. A single thread sang back, low and broken.
Liora joined her, placing one hand on the vine-wrapped instrument. "The curse here runs deeper. This is where the first silence fell."
Echo gazed ahead, eyes glimmering. "This land was where Nocturne began his true descent… not into darkness...but into absence."

They entered the Choral Graveyard at dusk.
Each stone marked not a body, but a voice...lost singers, composers, balladeers, and bards. Here, melodies once danced on the wind. Now, only whispering shadows remained.
That's when they heard it:
A low, feral growl… followed by a melody...wild, cracked, and raw. It came from deep within the ruins of what once was the Citadel of Song.
They moved cautiously...until the ground shuddered beneath them.
A massive shape lunged from the mist.
Silver fur. Gleaming eyes. Chains still bound to shattered armor.
'Thorn.'
The beast snarled, massive and towering. But when Crystal sang...just a single line, soft and aching, he froze.
The monster lowered its claws… and whimpered.
Liora stepped forward, golden threads glowing. "He's not lost. Not fully."
Later, by a fire made of broken music scrolls, the truth came out.
Thorn had once been a knight of the Harmony Guard, sworn to protect the voice of the kingdom. But when the Silence came, his loyalty became a curse. He was transformed into a beast of instinct and grief...able to hear every lost note, but never speak his own.
Until now.
"I've waited," he growled, voice ragged with restraint. "For her. The Luminous Soul."
Crystal nodded. "I need your help. We seek the Third Seal..buried deep beneath the Throne of Silence."
Thorn's gaze darkened. "Then you walk toward death."

He led them down the Chords of Descent, a vast staircase carved into the base of the old citadel, where sound refused to follow. Their voices grew distant the deeper they went...until only the faint rhythm of Crystal's heartbeat remained.
At the bottom lay a crypt...not for kings or queens, but for melodies that failed.
On an altar of obsidian and ivory sat the Third Seal...its light dimmed, its pulse weak.
But standing before it…
A figure cloaked in white and gold.
The Hollow Queen.
🎼🎼🎼
Once the sovereign of the Fairy Tale Kingdom, now twisted by the Silence, her crown cracked and eyes sorrowful.
"I do not guard the Seal," she said, voice melodic and cold. "I mourn it."
Crystal stepped forward, but the Queen raised her hand.
"If you would take this song, you must answer a question: What melody do you sing for those who have no voice left?"
Crystal hesitated. Echo stared. Thorn growled low.
Liora answered first. "You sing with them."
Crystal followed. "You don't lead the melody. You carry it."
The Hollow Queen paused. Then slowly, she bowed her head.
And vanished.
The Third Seal rose into the air, glowing bright once more. It fused with the others in Crystal's chest.
🎼🎼🎼
But something else awakened too.
From the stone beneath them came a resonance of rage… of sorrow… of silence weaponized.
Nocturne was stirring.
And the war was drawing near.
