Chapter 2 - The Man at the Door

The old woman hesitated—then, slowly, she opened the door.

Standing in the rain was a man wearing strange, tattered robes. His appearance was like that of a wandering monk, but his sharp, terrifying eyes pierced through the darkness. Ancient tattoos marked his body, glowing faintly under the flashes of lightning.

His voice rumbled.

"Where are they?"

The old woman, trembling, asked, "Who are you? Why are you here at this hour? This is no place for you. We are only women here!"

Suddenly, the silence was broken—

the cry of the newborn baby girl echoed through the house.

The monk's lips curled into a chilling smile. His eyes drifted toward the room where Sayura was resting.

The old woman stepped forward, her voice firm despite her fear.

"Leave! Get out! Go away!"

The monk's smile widened.

"I need to see them. Now."

Then, his voice thundered through the house.

"Sayuraaaaa!"

He pushed past the old woman and forced open Sayura's door.

The old woman tried to stop him but was powerless. Yuna, frozen in fear, could only watch.

Inside the room, Sayura gasped, her eyes wide in shock. But then, her voice broke through the silence.

"Master Shingetsu..."

Yuna turned to her, confused.

"You... you know him?"

Sayura's tears began to fall.

"Yes..." she whispered, her voice shaking.

Master Shingetsu stepped closer, his gaze softening.

"Why are you crying, my child?"

Sayura's eyes fell to the small, lifeless bundle wrapped in cotton.

"I lost them..." she sobbed. "They killed my love... and now... God has taken my baby..."

The weight of her words crashed into the room like thunder. Yuna and the old woman were too stunned to speak.

But Master Shingetsu only smiled, as if he had been waiting for this moment. He gently picked up the lifeless baby boy, feeling his cold, silent chest.

Nothing.

But then—

A faint heartbeat.

The master's smile turned into a laugh.

"Not yet, little one. It's not your time to leave."

His voice deepened with power.

"You have work to do. You must take revenge on the seven who murdered your father."

He pressed his palm against the baby's small chest.

"Come back, son of the devil!"

Suddenly, a surge of blue energy shot from his hand, flooding the baby's body. The energy ignited within, forcing his heart to beat, his tiny lungs to breathe.

The baby let out a loud, powerful cry.

Sayura collapsed to her knees, crying—not in grief, but in overwhelming joy. Yuna and the old woman stared in shock and relief, their fear melting into amazement.

But the master's smile grew wider, his eyes lighting up with a rare excitement as he saw the unusual color of the baby's vital energy.

His breath quickened, his voice laced with wonder.

"So… you are no ordinary child. You carry more than just his blood… you carry his fire."

Still, he gently placed the baby into Sayura's arms. She clutched him tightly and began to nurse him.

"What will you name them?" the master asked softly.

Sayura smiled through her tears.

"Their names were always ready. If it were a girl, she would be Rina. If it were a boy, he would be Kevin. But now... I can give both."

She sobbed again—but this time, not just out of happiness.

Her voice trembled.

"But their father... he's gone. He'll never meet them..."

The master placed his hand gently on her shoulder.

"Don't cry, my child. You've been blessed with two gems. And their father's spirit... lives on in them."

Yuna finally found her voice.

"Who was their father? And... what happened to him?"
