Chapter 3 - The Weight of His Blood

Yuna finally spoke.

"Who was their father? And… what happened to him?"

Master Shingetsu and Sayura exchanged a long, heavy glance. The silence between them said more than words.

Yuna stepped closer, her voice trembling, this time with more urgency.

"Sayura, who is the father of your children? And what really happened to him?"

The master's gaze lowered, his voice deep and steady.

"His name… was Raizen . Known to this village as the Devil of Shinkai."

Yuna and the old woman gasped in shock.

"No one ever knew he had a wife! It was always a mystery. He was the strongest man in this village… how could someone like him be killed?"

Master Shingetsu's expression darkened.

"There are things the world does not know."

He turned to Sayura.

"May I speak with you alone?"

The old woman and Yuna quietly left the room, still trying to process the truth.

Shingetsu sat beside Sayura, his tone softening.

"Your little girl… she's beautiful. But she will grow to be more than that. She will be strong."

He gently lifted baby Kevin into his arms, his eyes gleaming with something more than just joy.

He turned to Sayura, his voice lowering as if sharing a sacred secret.

"Sayura… I saw an unusual color in his vital energy. Something was different. Something was… extraordinary. He's not just a child. He was born with fire. One day, he will take the revenge his father could not."

Shingetsu pressed his palm gently against Kevin's small forehead, and a surge of blue energy flowed from his hand.

"When he meets each of the Seven—the ones who killed Raizen —he will feel their faces flash in his mind. Their memory will burn inside him. That will be his sign… his path to vengeance."

Sayura's tearful eyes hardened with rage. A mother's fury was now etched into her soul.

"But," Shingetsu continued, his voice suddenly serious, "If his power is revealed too soon, he will be in grave danger. They will come for him. I will seal his power deep within himself. One day, when the time is right, he will awaken it. And when he does, the world will tremble."

Sayura nodded, trusting the master's wisdom with her child's life.

Shingetsu gently healed her wounds with his magic, his blue energy softly wrapping around her like a warm light.

"My duty here is done… for now."

With that, the master quietly departed into the stormy night.

Yuna and the old woman returned, their eyes still filled with questions.

"Sayura, please… how did this all begin? Who are the Seven who took him from you?" Yuna asked again.

Sadness returned to Sayura's face. The old woman gently interrupted,

"We can talk about it later. Right now, you both need rest."

Yuna smiled softly.

"You're right… I should rest."

The house slowly fell silent. Yuna and the old woman drifted into peaceful sleep.

Sayura looked at her children—her precious twins—and kissed their foreheads.

Her body was weak, her mind weighed down by everything she had endured. The sorrow, the fear, the hope—all crashing at once.

As the rain whispered outside, she gently closed her eyes.

Her breathing steady.

Her heartbeat calm.

She was not leaving them. She was only resting—finally, peacefully falling asleep beside them.
