Gia's wolf, only of average size, made it easy for Alpha Leon to defend himself against her.
The attack was unexpected and inconsistent, but dangerous nevertheless.
It took little effort to knock her out and she laid weakly on the floor passing out again and shifting back to her human form.
Like it never happened.
"What was that?" Alpha Leon asked, turning to the doctor.
Shaking his head, the doctor expressed his confusion.
She had charged at him after she shifted to her wolf form and was too aggressive even for her size and strength.
It was strange and confusing.
"Keep her here at all costs!.
Locked up or drugged, I don't care but she must not leave until I said so!" he ordered and left the hospital while his wolf asked to get back to her.
After she changed to her wolf form, he felt drawn to her and her scent became almost intoxicating.
"Get a grip, she has a crazy power" he said out loud in anger.
His beta joined him outside the door, the pack workers were already preparing for the arrival of the future Luna and he is also preparing to make everything go smoothly.
The marriage alliance was signed by his father when he was alive.
And once he gets mated to his chosen mate, he would have authority over the pack's warriors. He would have more warriors as he needed as much as he could get.
His men aren't enough yet.
"Once the mating ceremony is over, I will send for the warriors.
There is a territory up north that is ruled by a group of rogues.
We will capture them and claim the land" Alpha Leon said as he made his way towards the pack house.
A look of urgency on his face.
"Won't it be too early to do so, Luna might be against it" his beta, Kael spoke up in concern. He does not want to blatantly go against his power hungry Alpha.
Turning to look at him with a pointed look that meant he was irritated.
"I am the Alpha, she would obey me. I don't need her permission" he said in disdain before he walked off.
The cockiness on his face disappeared immediately he got to his room.
His face contorted in pain and he groaned before sitting down heavily.
Sweat coated his forehead as breathe heavily.
The wound on his chest was getting worse, refusing to heal.
His wolf was also angry and refused to communicate with him.
He was in pain. And was wearing out fast.
…
Gia's eyes opened to the white walls, her body felt like it was run over by a vehicle.
Her limbs were too heavy to lift or control.
The last thing she remembered was going to Alpha Leon's office.
"What happened?
Where am I?" She said thoughtfully and in panic.
The door opened almost immediately and the doctor walked in.
A look of relief crossed his face as soon as he saw her awake.
"Where am I?" She asked him again, agitated and wished she could remember..
She had a plan and she doesn't know if the first step was successful.
"This is the pack's hospital, you were brought here yesterday by the Alpha" the doctor replied while checking through a chart he held.
"The Alpha?
Oh no!"
Gia's panic increased as she realised she had failed.
She had wanted to kill him even if she had no knowledge of how to use her power properly, but the hatred in her heart was enough to make her do it.
"What happened to me?" She asked, realizing that her limbs seemed more numb than they were earlier.
"Let me explain that".
A calm voice replied and they both looked towards the door.
An elderly woman with white hair and a short frame that reminds her of her grandmother was standing there.
Gia had never seen her before but she believed she truly had an explanation for her.
"Please excuse us doctor" the woman said to the doctor and they were left alone.
Gia's eyes remained trained on her waiting in anticipation, even though she trusted the woman to explain she reminded herself not to believe her words.
"Who are you?" Gia asked, masking the turmoil in her mind.
"I am Qierra, the Seer of this pack." The woman replied with a faint smile.
"What do you want?" Gia's curiosity turned to disgust.
She hated anything that has to do with the pack.
She hated ever being brought here.
She only wants to leave.
"I want to make a deal with you" Qierra said again and Gia scoffed before turning away.
"You will be able to leave if you listen to me" She pressed on and that intrigued Gia.
"I will do whatever you want," Gia said excitedly, changing her mind.
Alpha Leon was waiting for the arrival of his chosen mate when the pack hospital sent a message.
His eyes sharpened at the messenger.
"She is gone?" He asked and the messenger nodded.
"Leave" he ordered and was left alone.
'The Luna has arrived'
His beta mindlinked him and his expression dropped.
He is supposed to send someone after Gia but he does not want to raise an alarm or get his attention divided.
"I find it rude that your beta waited for me instead of you Alpha" A feminine voice said and he looked up caught by surprise.
The future Luna, Almeida, is the daughter of the Alpha of Blueriver pack.
They grew up together and last saw each other when he became the Alpha, she was barely a teenager and their parents signed an agreement that will become official in a few days.
"I was neck deep in pack's affairs, pardon me" he replied with a smile and rose from his seat.
"Why don't you rest and we will talk after dinner" Alpha Leon suggested and she nodded.
But he left the pack before dinner was served.
Leaving some instructions to his beta, he went after Gia at full speed.
He had planned to return to the pack in the morning and with her in tow, but his expectations had been too high.
After spending most of the night driving through the south territory of the pack, he searched and got nothing.
He had followed her scent at first but it gradually dissipated before it vanished leaving him to follow his instincts but it was not enough.
He lost her.
