Chapter 7 - Finding Her

Giavanna masked her confusion as she followed the Seer back to her cabin.

They had made a deal, she would leave later in the night after she does what she wanted.

"What is it that you want from me?" Giavanna asked as soon as they got inside, the strange items around and unfamiliar smell made her uneasy.

"Will you sit here, I only want to check your future" The Seer replied and Giavanna took a step back, startled.

"We made a deal remember?

The future Luna of the pack have arrived now, Alpha Leon would make sure he does everything in his power to eliminate any threat before his mating ceremony" She informed.

"I'm a threat?"

Why?, he was the one that one that dragged me here and killed my only family left. If anything, he is the threat!" Gia yelled, losing her composure.

"I understand your feelings but this is bigger than you thought.

You only need to leave and you will be free from him" The Seer reminded.

Gia went silent for few seconds and weighs her pros and cons.

"I need to know why I ended up at the hospital before I do what you want" Gia bargained, while looking at the older woman straight in the eyes.

"You shifted, and you passed out. That's all I know". She replied and turned away.

"Shifted?!" Gia's eyes widened in shock.

In all her nineteen years, she never thought a day would come when she would get to shift to her wolf form.

She had lost hope in that happening few months ago and just decided to focus on living her life as it is.

Night came and she left the pack's living area with the help of the Seer.

She now finds it easy to run in the woods and deep into the forest.

She contemplated shifting to her wolf form to run faster because she did not trust what the Seer had told her. And even her wolf's ability since it has never communicated with her.

She does not want to fall into a trap after believing the wrong person.

The night breeze howls in her ears as she sped through the forest, while breathing heavily.

She was used to running and only planned to stop twice for water before she keeps on, her feets gradually came to a stop when she smell the calming scent of natural water even before she saw it.

Her troubled mind made her more uneasy, she had left the Seer's place after she did what she wanted. The old woman's shocked face filled her fears. What had she seen that made her react that way?

Bending to scoop some of it to her mouth, she drank and washed her face but from deep within the woods a pair of eyes followed her movement.

She has been spotted.

Alpha Leon returned to the pack full of frustration, his wound festering as time roll by.

He needs to find her soon.

"Where have you been?" Almeida said as she saw him walked into his office.

Getting close to place a hand on his chest in an affectionate manner, her eyes widened in horror in the next second as Alpha Leon pushed her off him and hissed in pain.

"What are you doing?" Alpha Leon asked in fury but Almeida gasped in shock and gather herself before she threw the question back at him.

"What is wrong with you?! She yelled in shock as regain her footing and took a step back.

Alpha Leon's eyes glossed over and he continued to groan in pain and gestured for her to leave. His skin felt like he had been set on her fire.

Tearing off his shirt, the wound on his chest breaths as he also breathes heavily as if mocking him.

"I need to get rid of this as soon as possible" he muttered under his breathe.

"Kael!" He yelled for his beta and his face contorted in pain as he did so.

"Yes Alpha" His beta arrived and his brows fused as he noticed the unusual behaviour of his Alpha.

"I need you to get her here with an hour" Alpha Leon ordered his voice, strained and unclear.

"What happened?" Kael asked in confusion and move closer to assess him.

"Now!" Alpha Leon yelled, wincing in pain as he did so.

Understanding his stubbornness and strong will, Kael backed out of the room to do what he asked.

"I asked you to find her!" Alpha Leon yelled again with his head bent forward when he heard the door open.

He had thought Kael had returned but the unexpected voice that replied him made him shoot out of his seat.

"Seer". He breathe out in surprise and try to mask his pain as her eyes lock onto his.

"It's one thing to ignore your true mate and want to kill her but it is another issue to scare your chosen mate. What are you thinking about Leon?!" Raising her voice for the first time in years, she questioned him.

"I hate the idea of mates, you know that. I only need Almeida because of the Warriors her father possess. The true mate you speak of will cease to exist the moment she heal me. I would kill her in the most despicable way!" He replied with a rigid smile while his eyes remain cold and beads of sweat build on his temple.

"You can't kill her. Come here let me ease your pain" She replied with a sad shake of her head.

"Why do you think I can't, you know I don't say things that I don't mean. She was destined to die" Alpha Leon spat and refuse to get closer to her.

"And you too. Pray she has some mercy on you. Your death isn't anytime soon but you will die too" She replied and move close to him.

Opening the lid of an ointment she held, she gently applied some of it to his wound and he immediately calm him down.

"This won't heal you but it will calm you down. The only way this will heal is with her."

"Yes, I know. That's why I sent Kael to capture her for me. Only I get to inflict pain on others, not the other way round".

"You will regret this". The Seer said silently before leaving.
