Three weeks later
We and in we, Mami and I were going to university together when suddenly Mami turned to me, "Kazu-kun, I-"
"I am breaking up with you Mami."
"Wha-" She tries to say something but I cut her off with, "No Mami, its not you, I did some research and some soul searching, and have realised that it was me, it was always me who was the problem, and you deserve better."
"Kazuya-"
"You deserve someone who you can actually control. I am just too spiritually independent"
With that I started walking away to the campus without looking back, while Mami.exe has been corrupted from taking such a fatal blow towards her ego. I inwardly screamed in joy, that I wouldn't need to meet her on a regular basis, as while taking fun out of her misery, was pleasant, she was still Mami, and direct exposure could truly cause some lasting brain damage. But I wasn't exposed for long, so I should be fine.
The Next Day
I was wrong, staying even one minute with that, wolf in sheep clothes could cause irreversible harm, turns out that while I can see through her facade with ease, others can't even if they try, and if your are questioning, why is this a concern, well her reputation with boys and girls alike is very high, so if she wants to spread any false rumors, she can do so without any problems whatsoever, which would effectively ruin my relationship with most of my classmates, which she did.
In hindsight, it was partly my fault, since I should have guessed that she could stoop that low, and I underestimated her social standing. But alas, what's done is done, and it's not like I even care about these small things anyway, shit like these are like dust particles, in time it would just settle down, and everyone except Mami's 'friends' would remember this.
"Oi, Kazuya", I turned around to see Kibe and Kuri coming towards my direction, "Oh, would you look at that, it's Buck teeth and Forehead Supreme"
"I would like to tell you that girls, dig buck teeth" Kuri said in his delusion whi-
"WHO THE FUCK YOU CALLING BALD"
Kibe and I looked at each other in silence, while Kuri looked not amused, then we all started laughing our asses.
"Damn, did breakup made you evolve or something" Kuri said
"No but my experience with a true egoist, has made me more resistant to your two's bullshit."
"Fuck you Kazuya, Fuck you" Kibe said, but he still had his smile, "Just talking with you make my hair stand up from your pure inner pain"
"What hair, I don't see any... Oh, you mean there, I get it" Kuri said clearly enjoying this.
"Says 'the delusioned one', ever looked in a mirror, you look like a spongebob from creepy alleyway"
"Oh, really, well you should wear a wig, or someone might mistake you for a creepy old man in our uni"
"Shut up small eyes"
"You are japanese too, you moron"
Before they could continue further and shift to just curses, I interject between them, "If you too have forgotten, we have our classes too"
"Have we ever told you, how much of a mood killer you are" Kibe said, while Kuri nodded repeatedly.
"Yeah, yeah cry me a river you too, now lets go"
"Wait Kazuya, are you sure your really okay, and not just trying to hide it with humor" Kuri said, while Kibe nodding said, "Yeah, you can take it slow if you want, no need to act around us"
Damn, they are the definitions, of we are all degenerates, but we are degenerates together, "I really appreciate your thoughts man, but I am fine, really and the Mami thing was not a lie, not having to see her is a blessing"
"We may just take your word, but what are you going to do with your slander man" Kuri said
"Yeah, the rumors about you and Mami are spreading like hellfire"
"It's okay, just some underhand tricks by her, I just need to endure this phase and it will settle down, after all people don't have enough time to think of some rumors about just another classmate"
Kuri agreed with me, while Kibe offered his help, if I grew tired of rumors and wanted to put an end, and while I won't do it, I was still grateful for it.
Later that Week
I was in my appartment, dressing up and trying a few get-ups, for we were going to our favourite strolling spot, for beer and some.
While I was just styling my hair, Kibe called to tell that one of his friends had invited Mami so she would be there as well. He asked if I wanted to cancel today's plan, but I had a different plan.
After all I, 'The Chaos Incarnate' would not be scared of a female man-child, I decided to fully scrap my jacket jeans combo and instead picked up a full monk robe, I had lying around, no I didn't steal it from the temple and paired it up with some Blue sunglasses, a gold colored watch, and topped it off by tying my hair like how samurais used to do it.
Then send a pic to Kibe and Kuri for heads up. They understood my plan, and gave a thumbs up, and with that I went for the bar, while moving out of the appartment, I gave my neighbour Chizuru a wave, while she was raised her brow, I explained and she gave me a 'good luck' and went back to her appartment.
Oh and before I forget, no I didn't actually meet her as a neighbour on my own, I ain't lying, see it for yourself.
Flashback:
It was quite the task to fill up the fridge, but now I have everything with me, vegetables, chicken, coke, coffee, facemasks, you say it, I have it all.
I was humming to myself, when suddenly the door next to my apartment opened and from there came The MYTH, The LEGEND, THE DEV- oh, sorry wrong one.

'Is this what's called the neighbor plus college route. Well lets stay calm and explain what's happening right now'
"Hello There", 'Sorry, couldn't help myself'
Chizuru unamused asked, "What are you doing, don't tell me you live here"
"Don't worry I won't"
"Then why are you here"
"To fill up my fridge"
"But you just said you didn't live here"
"I never said that, I just humored your idea. But on a serious note, I really didn't know you lived here, but I don't mind it... as long as you don't charge me for talking in hallway with you, can we agree on that" I said while offering a handshake
She accepting the handshake said, "...You're weird" to which I just smiled
Present
I reached the destination, where I saw Kuri waving at me
"So what you doing?"
"Some soul searching with some cocain"
"The most important part of soul searching, btw from your look, that shit seems strong, would you-"
"No"
"You didn't even hear what I'd say"
"I don't need to"
"Why won't you give it to me?"
"It would get stuck in your teeth"
Before Kuri could make a comeback, Kibe came in resulting in my victory.

Anyways, we went to the bar without delay to meet the others sitting there, but most importantly, The MYTH, The LEGEND, THE DEVLISH SADIST!!!... yeah thats all I have, sorry.
"Hey guys, what we doin tonight" Kibe said
They all responded with silence, until, "Kazu-kun"
"Oh, Mami didn't see you there, I was too busy inner chanting my mantra to keep dissatisfied and troubled spirits away form me, guess I wasn't focused enough"
Before she could reply to my jab, she was cut off by the guy sitting next to her, and while she didn't say anything her quick side eye was enough to tell, what she felt about it.
"Is that you Kinoshita, what happened to you"
"He's finally knocked some sense into himself" Kuri replied on my part, while I was busy drinking a whole glass of beer in one breath.
After finishing it, did I finally turned to her, "Hey Mami, how's it goin, broke any more hearts"
"You can't say that Kazu~ you were the one who broke up with me" said with false cheer, though her eyes only showed one thing, THIRST... for my pain, what did you think?
"Hmmm Good point" I agreed with her, which resulted in her speechlessness, I missed that feeling.
This truly shows once again that to truly confuse your enemies, you must confuse yourself.
"But, you know..." I started to which she looked up, "do you... do you think we can still patch things up, do you feel something for me" I asked in a hesitant voice, scared of failure.
"Kazuya" said acting embarassed, but I could see the turning of her cheeks, that she was hiding a smile, "I am sorry kazu-kun, I am seeing someone else"
"Oh, that's great" I said in a sudden cheer
"W-What?" She said flabbergasted
"Oh its simple, I was just worried you would still be stuck on me, but now that I know that you are already seeing someone else, I can move on entirely with a clear mind now"
"Is that so Kazu-"
Before she could jumble a sentence, and start to mess things up, I was already on my game.
"For our matters finally being solved, lets play drinking game"
That's right kids, when in doubt, just throw in some Beer and people will come running at you
"ALL RIGHT!!!"
What happened in the next three hours was a literal slugfest. Everyone drank like crazy, like no tomorrow. By the end, only me and Kuri were still woke, turns out he has some seriously good tolerance, for me I just drank much less then others, I know my limits.
"Kazuya~, I love you my man..." Kibe said clinging to me while I put him in the cab, while Kuri was recording the whole thing for later.
"Alright, alright you are not dying okay" with that I put him in the cab. I had already the driver where to go, so that Kibe would only need to enter his appartment, for which I had already contacted one of his neighbor to help him at that time.
With that, only me, Kuri and Mami remained, but we were in a dilemma. Who would drop the girl off to her house, because putting a drunk girl alone in a cab, was something only a careless idiot would do.
"You don't need to bother Kazuya, I can drop her off if you are not comfortable with it"
"Are you sure man? I mean your house is quite far away from her's and even a drunk state, I won't trust her."
While Kuri looked at me in a bit of disbelief but then had a thoughtful expression, I guess he saw my reasoning, even though he didn't believe that someone could fall that low, but I knew, I had the privilege of experiencing it myself, in my previous life, but that's a story for different time.
"It's okay Kaz, I would keep my phone camera on, for safety, I mean what kind of friend would I be if I left him to deal with her ex himself"
"If you say so..." I said. Then after greeting good bye to each other, and getting Kibe's video for myself, we went our seperate ways.
After reaching my home at around 2 A.M. , I decide that since it was Sunday, I could take an off for today morning, and closed my alarm, and went to the lands of dream, after brushing my teeth ofc.
