Day 2: Saturday. A bright sunny day.
He woke up and stepped outside.
While walking on the street, he asked about that app the one that gave him 30 days.
But while telling about it, he couldn't talk properly like some unknown force was stopping his voice.
Still, Akira understood something was wrong.
"I think..." Akira said, voice low, "that's what my dad once told me."
He paused, then continued, "About 20 years ago... some people started doing rituals. Dark ones, to gain powers. Things that weren't supposed to happen."
Kairo looked at him, confused.
Akira went on, "Those rituals caused massive destruction. But the elders sealed the Black Magic, or whatever that was. My dad said, when it starts again, a person receives a letter or message a time limit and after that, something terrible happens. An attack."
He stood shocked.
This was his first time hearing about anything like this.
He never knew, because his parents never let him go out.
His family always scolded him.
His family only wanted one thing from him: to be rich.
He came home confused, curious — and opened the app again.
It now said:
"29 Days Left."
He sat, thinking.
"Why didn't that man return?"
Right then a sudden voice behind him:
"That was your first training."
He quickly turned around.
A man stood there the same one from before.
"Never believe in anyone. Always be ready for everything," he said calmly.
The main character stood shocked.
"W-Why did you say that?" he asked.
The man replied without blinking:
"Fighting with them isn't only about being strong. It's about the mind. They'll manipulate you."
"We'll continue our training tomorrow."
"Why did you suddenly appear in my room?!" he asked again.
The man answered:
"Because without it, you wouldn't realize my powers."
