Episode 17
🌙 Scene 1 – Jungle Lake | Night
(Camera zooms in on Zeno's tense face. A shadowy figure stands in the background.)
Zeno (thinking, tense):
"That voice...?"
Voice (calm, familiar):
"Zeno… my brother. How have you been?"
(Zeno turns slowly. Shock on his face. Renji stands there – calm and confident.)
Zeno (startled):
"Renji?!"
Renji (slightly smiling):
"It's been a long time since we last met."
(Suddenly, another voice interrupts.)
Voice:
"So, the assassin is hiding here."
(Zeno looks back – Grake stands there, serious. Shin panics, seeing both of them.)
Shin (thinking, panicking):
"How… how did they find me?"
(Grake walks toward Shin.)
Grake (coldly):
"You're wondering how we found out, aren't you?"
Grake (closer):
"Well, I saw you throw the stone. I got suspicious. Then I saw you running toward the jungle. And when Zeno disappeared too… my doubt was confirmed. I called Renji… and he arrived, right on time."
Renji (calmly):
"And we heard every single thing you said, Shin…"
(Shin is terrified. Sweat pours down his face. He turns and starts running.)
Renji (swift move):
(He throws three sharp blades – hitting Shin in the head, back, and waist.)
(Shin falls to the ground. Blood pouring out. Renji walks up to him.)
Renji (coldly):
"You shouldn't have betrayed us."
(Zeno watches in fear, trembling and sweating.)
Grake (grinning):
"Your aim's still perfect… ha ha ha."
Renji (bending down to Shin):
"You won't survive. Those blades were poisoned… it must've already spread through your body."
(Shin screams in pain. Blood drips from his mouth and nose. Tears stream down. Moments later… he dies.)
(Renji turns around… but Zeno is gone.)
Grake:
"He ran."
Renji (shrugs):
"Let him. Let's see how long he can keep running… ha ha ha."
Grake:
"What do we do about Shin's body?"
Renji:
"Leave it here. You should get going too."
Grake:
"What if Zeno tells someone?"
Renji (smirking):
"He'll only tell Ren. And I know… Zeno won't let Ren tell"
(Both laugh. Renji vanishes.)
Scene 2 – Phantom Guild | Zeno & Ren's Room | Night
(Zeno runs back to the guild, breathless. He bursts into his room. Ren is shocked.)
Ren:
"Zeno?! What happened?! Calm down!"
(Zeno, panicking, looks toward the door.)
(Ren quickly shuts and locks the door.)
Ren:
"Now tell me, what happened?"
(Zeno is trembling. Ren tries to calm him down.)
Ren (gently):
"Breathe, Zeno… calm down."
(Zeno gathers himself slowly and tells everything to Ren.)
(Ren is shocked but keeps a composed face.)
Ren (determined):
"I'm going to talk to Mr. Rael and Mr. Kael."
(Zeno grabs his hand immediately.)
Zeno (firmly):
"No. You're not doing anything like that."
Ren (surprised):
"Why not?"
Zeno (seriously):
"Because if you do... you'll put everyone in danger. Renji is powerful. Way too powerful."
(Ren goes silent. Then speaks calmly but confidently.)
Ren:
"I'm with you, Zeno. Always."
(Zeno gives a small, emotional smile.)
Scene 3 – Grake's Room | Late Night
(Grake enters his dark room, door creaks shut. A faint light flickers.)
Grake (thinking, sly):
"Very soon… I'll get those documents from the guild library."
(He smirks to himself… and chuckles.)
Scene fades to black.
