Philly drove maintain a steady speed. She was handling the incident as well as she could not letting it get to her. She looked at Bright which remembering what Dempsey told her. She couldnt believe it.
"Its not common to invoke this early, maybe this situation caused it. He has to learn how to control his new self quickly."she thought as she evaded some cars.
Philly never had a kid of her own. She believed in solitary life killing all romance she had in her. Though she didnt have her own child, she had the experience to take care of one. She learned this through experience from her career which was either for protection or extermination. Her job wasnt one to be proud of, it involved so much gore and unnecessary blood shed, but she accepted it but some corps were cruel and inhumane than most. At her prime she was unstoppable, a force feared by many.....but she realized with time that all she did was kill without meaning. Philly worked with Josh, her sister's husband. She dedicated herself body and soul to him doing everything as he wanted. Overtime the fierce demon in her burned out. Along with that Josh was growing more thirsty for power wanting to expand his control to greater lengths. This meant she was subjected to more and more killing which she was against. She and Gracy decided to cut off their ties with Josh and disappear. The two lived their lives well.
Gracy opened up her small mart while Philly joined The rouges, a small organization that took in laten bloods like her , people who left their corps without proper resign. The rouges was formed to protect each member from their fierce bounty while also becoming bounty hunters themselves. It was still killing but at least here she killed those who also tainted themselves in innocent blood like her. She distant herself from her sister. This was how she could minimize chance of them getting uncovered by Josh or any hostile group sent to end them. She was sure her plan was full proof up until she got a call from Dempsey informing her that her sister and her son were the ones involved in the suburb west.
Philly them ended the thoughts and flashbacks. She looked at Bright once again, his eyes were slowly opening.
"H....huh? Where am I?" Bright asked once fully awake.
"Yo chipmunk, long time no see. Did ya miss me?"
Bright recognized that voice well. It was rad aunt Philly.
"Aunt Philly? Aunt Philly!."he said pouncing on her and embracing her. She kept her one hand on the wheel using the other one to hold bright back. She then heard bright sniffle as he shook rhythmicly.
"Its ok bud. She's in a better place now and won't pain ever again," she said patting his back," I'll stay with you and never let anything harm you."
Though Philly was strong and composed as she comforted Bright, her eyes release tears without her consent. It was going to be hard to get through her death, but she was certain they'll overcome it.
Deep inside the city inside O'Reilly thirty story building was Josh Trixa seated in his office composed fingers interlocked arms supported by his gold painted desk his eyes eager and awaiting something anxiously. A blond bae dressed in a white tuxedo came in the room. She had a purple file on hand and walked all sassy as she approached Josh.
"The renovations are done sir and the contract is finalized. You now own this building and we saved up on about fifty million thanks to me. Shall we celebrate this memorable day?"she said placing the file on the desk. Josh glanced at her flashing his grey hipnotic eyes that could put anyone in a trans.
"Give me the full report, not this bullshit." he said calmly showing no anger whatsoever. The lady then bit her lip and her expression dropped from proud and sassy to worry and anxious.
" Gracy Tesshi is dead but the boy lives still... It was a shitty mistake but we'll take care of it bo..."
Josh instantly grabbed her by the neck slamming her onto the table breaking it in half.
"I told you to kill them both. Why cant you follow simple rules damn it!" He tossed her across the room her back banging the wall hard. She barfed blood as her face expressed horror on a whole other level as she struggled to get up on her feet.
"One week. Either kill the boy or I'll kill you." Josh said glancing at the lovely seting sun, hardly hiding his demonic aura.
"Mmmh....he's hard to die like his father, I commend that. But you have to die for my legacy to live boy, it ain't negotiable." Josh though as his emotional cold and dead set.
