"Are you really Rusk ? Torian Ironlaw !!".
Cold shiver ran down Rusk's spine, "How do you know that ? Who told you that?".
"It is all because of you, Kael got taken away by that bastards who were looking for you", Jace pointed the sword at him.
"What, Kael got taken away?", Rusk asked, "Things are bad, we need to save him, Where did they take him ?".
"You are not going anywhere until you tell me who you are", Jace demanded to know the truth behind Rusk.
"We don't have time for that, We need to rescue Kael !!", Rusk shouted. "Something might happen to him".
Jace brought the sword to Rusk's throat, "Until you tell me who you are we aren't going anywhere".
"Did you understand that part", Jace threatened him.
"Fine, listen closely my true name is Torian Ironlaw, I was the heir to the Ironlaw family", Rusk started explaining.
"Everything started when i was pointed to be the heir to the family"
Torian was the pride of the Ironlaw family. He was a prodigy among his peers in the magic world. When he was appointed as the heir, his own brothers and sisters were against it. Since his childhood, his brothers lived in Torian's shadow, and it pissed them of whenever someone says the name Torian.
Even though Torian was kind to his siblings, he didn't get their love. He did his best to win over their hearts, but all his efforts were useless. They looked at him with hatred in their eyes. Whenever a opportunity arises, they would not miss it to harm their brother, or drag Torian's name through the mud.
After the heir ceremony, things became comlicated. Torian's siblings worked together to get rid of him. And they successfully framed Torian to be the traitor.
This happened when Torian was on a mission in the countryside. They let the enemy country's soldiers into their land, right after Torian left there. Thus, it was seen as the betrayel, his siblings got the witnesses ready to present at the presence of the family head.
In there he was sentenced to death, and taken to the prison. Before his execution, one of his loyal servant named Grey stole the key of Torian's cell, and set him free.
After escaping the prison, his brothers didn't sit still. They declared him the enemy of the nation, and sent assasins after him constantly.
After that he was on the run for nearly eleven years, and Torian started disguise himself as Rusk.
However that did not help him, he was constantly being watched, when he was in public cities. That's why he spent most of his time in the woods, mountains, or places human struggle to live.
Before he found Kael and Jace, he had been fighting the mercenaries, assasin, bandits to make a living.
Due to his actions, his brothers got the message, he was still alive, and sent their personel officers to kill him and bring his head.
He barely managed to get away from them. That's why when Kael and Jace found him with a lot of injuries.
And one of their spies must have found him living with the boys. After they discovered where he was, their plan was to use the boys as bait to lure Torian into their trap.
After hearing Rusk's story, Jace calmed down a bit, and asked:
"Why didn't tell us your real name when we found you ?".
"Look, it was complicated, i am the enemy of the nation. If somebody found out that, They might be in danger" Rusk replied, "We need to discuss a plan to rescue Kael first".
"How do we do that ?. They said to bring you before dawn" Jace with a puzzled look.
"Bring me to where ?. If we know the place, we could ambush them and rescue Kael", Rusk said.
"I should bring you to huge rock by the river", Jace answered.
"Ok, then first you will bring my head to them in that bag", Rusk pointed to his bag he used for storing the rabbit.
"What ?, What do you mean by that ?", Jace didn't believe his ears.
"Don't worry, instead of my head it will be this deer's head. We need to confuse them. While you were stalling for time, I will attack them from their blind spot.", Rusk explained the plan.
"That's dangerous, Are you sure you will be okay ?", Jace did not expect that.
"Yeah, when their attention is on me, You will run with Kael, Okay ?", Rusk added.
They discussed the plan multiple times, before they do anything. After the plan was complete, They waited until it was middle of the night.
When the time came Rusk said "It is time to start, get your act together".
Jace replied with confidence, "I will kill whoever stands in my way, don't be a burden Rusk".
Rusk smiled and they went with the plan. When Jace approached the Huge Rock, one of the member of thier group appeared:
"Hey, Where is that traitor ?. Didn't we tell you to bring him ?".
Jace replied with calm voice and showed them the bag, "Look his head is in this bag. Bring Kael here".
He did not expect that and said: "Okay, Show it to me first".
Jace, with cold eyes, demanded to bring their leader:
"First, Bring your leader here and my freind".
He replied, "Okay, follow me. If you try anything, know this your friend will die along with you".
Then he brought Jace to where his other group members were staying. Their leader stepped forward: "Where is he ?".
Jace showed the bag: "Here if you want to check it, come here. But before that i need to see Kael first".
After some time, they brought Kael. Just by looking at him, they beat Kael up to get information.
But Kael held his head high like nothing happened.
After seeing the scene Jace's eyes became full of vengence, he was ready to attack them. Fortunately he remembered the plan. He stalled for time asking different questions.
Suddenly Rusk appeared attacked them from the back using a spell, that creates sharp knives from Iron, and launched them to peirce through his enemies. Their leader quickly jumped to fight Rusk one-on-one.
In the meantime where everyone focused on Rusk, Jace rushed to Kael and set him free. When they were running, one of them notced and attacked them. Jace parried his attack with his sword, but it was not enough, Jace was injured in his shoulder. It became difficult to wield a sword.
When he caught up to them, Kael took the sword from Jace and applied mana into it, like he did with Rusk's knife.
Kael attacked him, but he dodged. When he attacked again, their swords clashed each other and his oppenent's sword broke and his upper body fell to the ground. The boys were shocked.
When they saw the cabin, they were surrounded just like last time. The group that were. chasing Kael and Jace, attacked Kael first since he was dangerous. When their swords went near Kael, everyone of their heads went flying.
It was Rusk who did it.
