Chapter 76 - Chapter 76 – Tights Returns

"Noooo!"

Cooler cried out in panic, but it was useless—Lynx was still gaining on him fast.

Seeing no way out, Cooler gritted his teeth, gathered all his ki, and formed a massive ki ball—then hurled it straight beneath his feet.

The ball carried enough destructive force to obliterate an entire planet. Lynx, who was hot on his heels, furrowed his brow when he saw it and shifted course to intercept.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared before the ki blast. Without even raising a hand in defense, he shouted sharply, and a yellow-green barrier flared to life in front of him, catching the attack head-on.

BOOOOM!

The massive ball detonated, its destructive ki tearing into the sky and turning into a towering inferno thousands of meters tall. The clouds above were vaporized in an instant, and invisible shockwaves rippled outward, shaking the very crust of the planet.

Back on his ship, Cooler crash-landed into the control room, barking his next command the moment his feet hit the floor.

"Launch! Maximum speed—NOW!"

"What? But Lord Cooler, the engines haven't finished preheating. If we go full power now, the ship could—!"

Zap. The pilot didn't finish his sentence—his head was blasted clean through by a beam of ki.

"I said: GET US OUT OF HERE!"

Meanwhile, high above the planet's surface, the smoke cleared—Lynx hovered there, completely unharmed.

He looked up and saw Cooler's ship fleeing toward the edge of the atmosphere. Slowly, he raised both hands to waist height, fingers curling into the iconic pose.

"Ka…me…ha…"

With a flash of light, Lynx used Instant Transmission to appear behind Cooler's ship. His hands thrust forward.

"ME—HA!!!"

A massive golden energy wave exploded from his palms—about to swallow the ship whole.

But just before it hit, the ship vanished, streaking into hyperspace with a thunderous sonic boom.

"…Tch. Missed it by a second." Lynx sighed and gave up the chase, turning back toward the Saiyan spaceship.

Now that things had calmed down, it was time to have a little "chat" with Hannah.

Thanks to her little fiasco, he'd missed the World Martial Arts Tournament.

Someone had to pay. And unfortunately for her, Hannah was the only one available.

Meanwhile, somewhere in nearby space…

Cooler's ship suddenly dropped out of warp with a violent shudder. Red lights flashed throughout the vessel.

Cooler stood motionless in the command center, arms crossed, eyes cold.

"Lord Cooler," said Salza, stepping forward. "The engines are fried. We'll need time to repair them."

"Hmm." Cooler grunted, then asked, "What about the Ifririan database?"

Despite the Ifririan people's lack of strength, they were one of the oldest civilizations in the universe. Their planet housed a data archive that had survived countless millennia—holding secrets of the cosmos that even Cooler didn't fully understand.

This was the real reason he had invaded their world: to find a way to become stronger.

"Decryption is underway. Our tech crew is combing the data for anything related to power enhancement."

Salza paused, then added, "Also… Lord Cooler, I overheard something. The techs found a curious entry in the database. It's about a planet the Ifririans labeled as a 'Dead Zone.'"

"Oh?" "What's it called?"

"It's called PlanetBigor. According to the Ifririans, it's sealed off—because it holds a demon that once wiped out numerous ancient, highly advanced civilizations."

WHAM! Cooler's tail slammed against the deck.

"Sauza, once the ship's repaired—we're heading to Planet Bigor."

"As you command, Lord Cooler."

Thus ended the entire fiasco… all caused by a stomachache.

Back aboard the Saiyan ship, Lynx had originally planned to give Hannah a serious lecture.

But the moment she saw him, she threw herself into his arms—tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Your Majesty… I'm not pregnant!"

"…It's fine. So you're not pregnant—what's the big deal?"

"But I really, really want to carry your child…"

"Then we'll just keep trying," Lynx said with a smile.

"Really? Then let's start right now!"

Before Lynx could react, Hannah pounced—completely ignoring the fact they were still in the medical bay.

Because of this absurd ordeal, Lynx had missed the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament on Earth.

Knowing that even if he returned now, the event would already be over, he scrapped his travel plans and decided to focus on his mental training instead.

He also intended to start training Bardock.

At the moment, Bardock had the second-highest base battle power among all Saiyans—just behind Lynx himself. After having his potential unlocked by Lynx, Bardock had finally broken the one million mark.

According to Lynx's analysis, Bardock's S-cells were already abundant. With just a bit more training, he could very well become the third Super Saiyan of Planet Vegeta—after Lynx and Hannah.

And if that happened, the next time something like the Ifririan incident broke out, Lynx wouldn't need to keep bailing everyone out personally.

That's why he decided to train Bardock himself.

Meanwhile, back on Earth…

As in the original story, the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament came to a close with a final showdown between Goku and the mysterious "Jackie Chun" (Master Roshi in disguise).

In the end, Master Roshi barely won.

Feeling that Goku had already surpassed what he could teach, Roshi encouraged him to begin training on his own.

It was then that Bulma—now an adult—casually mentioned how she and Lynx had once visited Korin Tower and the Lookout as kids.

Hearing that, young Goku's eyes lit up with excitement. He decided that, after finding Grandpa Gohan's Four-Star Dragon Ball, he'd head there to train.

But on the road, Goku was ambushed by the Red Ribbon Army, who were also hunting for the Dragon Balls—thus sparking a new adventure and a battle over the mystical orbs.

And just as Goku was storming Muscle Tower…

In a certain area in West City, a blonde girl suddenly appeared in the middle of the street.

"Ah! Finally home!" she cried, stretching her arms and beaming at the familiar scenery—completely unaware that every pedestrian nearby was staring at her like she was a ghost.

"Wait… Did that girl just… appear out of nowhere?"

"Y-Yeah, I think so… I-Is she a ghost?!"

It was none other than—Tights, Bulma's big sister—finally returning to Earth.
