King Piccolo lowered his head in disbelief — a large hole had suddenly appeared in his chest.
"I... I lost?"
He gave a bitter laugh, then suddenly spat out a white egg, throwing it far northward.
"Son, you must avenge me! The source of evil must never be extinguished!"
With a fierce explosion, King Piccolo was torn to pieces on the spot, completely vanishing.
Because only a short time passed between Piccolo spitting out the egg and his total destruction, almost no one at the scene noticed.
But Lynx and Bardock, high above in the sky, clearly saw it.
Gine on the ground also saw it.
Seeing that her son's enemy was not completely destroyed, Gine wanted to intervene again.
But her communicator suddenly sounded Bardock's voice: "Enough, Gine. You've already interfered too much. Kakarot must learn to make up for his own mistakes."
"All right, all right." Gine stopped and let the egg vanish into the distance.
Soon, Yamcha and others, arrived, determined to help the nearly dead Tien.
When they learned King Piccolo was dead, they jumped for joy, celebrating wildly.
"We won! Goku defeated King Piccolo!"
"Great! King Piccolo's been destroyed! Goku, you saved the world!"
Supported by others, Goku gave a bitter smile. "It's not just me. If not for this lady's help, Tien and I might have died."
"A lady?"
Only then did everyone notice there was another person on site.
Yamcha didn't recognize her, but Oolong, Puar, and Launch found her familiar.
Bulma immediately recognized her as the Saiyan who came to Earth with Lynx.
If she's here, then where's Lynx...?
Bulma looked up and saw Lynx and Bardock descending from the sky.
"Big Brother Lynx!"
"Bulma, everyone, hello."
Lynx smiled as he landed and greeted them.
"It's you!" Yamcha immediately snapped, "Why are you only showing up now? You're so strong — why didn't you help? Don't you know Master Roshi and Krillin died?"
"How dare you!" A burst of ki suddenly exploded from Bardock, blowing Yamcha away.
Oolong and Puar quickly ran to help Yamcha up.
Tien was stunned. From this brief glance, he could tell these two men who appeared, were probably more terrifying than King Piccolo.
"All right, Bardock."
Lynx called Bardock over, then looked at Goku, who wore a puzzled expression.
"Goku, do you think I should have helped?"
"Yes... yes! Big Brother Lynx, you guys are so powerful. If you had acted sooner, many wouldn't have died."
"We're not from Earth. Why should we save you?" Lynx suddenly said.
Goku was stunned, and Tien speechless.
"Goku, remember when I said we're not Earthlings, so what happens here doesn't concern us?"
Lynx explained, "This universe is full of dangers. King Piccolo is nothing compared to them. We can save you once, but we can't always protect Earth for you."
"To truly keep Earth safe, you have to rely on your own strength!"
"Those who save others must first save themselves. Only when you have the power to protect Earth can you truly safeguard its peace."
Hearing this, Goku and Tien were silent.
Yamcha, though reluctant, had to admit Lynx was right.
If their strength had been enough, far fewer would have died in this King Piccolo crisis.
"But... Master Roshi and Krillin died!" Yamcha protested.
"That's no problem. We can use the Dragon Balls to bring them back." Goku said.
Tien's face fell. "You don't know — the Dragon has been killed by King Piccolo."
"What? Then Master Roshi and Krillin..." Goku gasped, trembling.
"Don't worry, the Dragon was created by gods. We just need to ask the gods to bring the Dragon back!" Lynx reassured.
"God?" Goku blinked.
Oolong scoffed, "How could there be a god in this world?"
"No, gods do exist!" Bulma suddenly said, "Goku, the gods are on Karin Tower. I've been there with Big Brother Lynx!"
"Then what are we waiting for? Flying Nimbus!" Goku immediately summoned his Flying Nimbus, ready to head to Karin Tower.
"Wait!"
Tien called after him, "Goku, this Karin Tower — is it really the legendary sacred place of martial arts?"
"That's right. I used to train there. The reason I defeated King Piccolo was because a hermit called the Cat Sage on Karin Tower helped me."
"So the legends are true... Please take me too! I want to get stronger! This time King Piccolo showed me how far I have to go. Next time, I won't ask you to save me!" Tien said earnestly.
"I want to go too!" Yamcha stepped forward, "I didn't do anything this time, but I'll catch up with you!"
"Everyone..." Goku nodded firmly, "All right, let's go to Karin Tower together!"
With their fighting spirits ignited, the three prepared to depart.
After bidding farewell, Yamcha and Tien boarded a plane, while Goku jumped on the Flying Nimbus.
"Big Brother Lynx! Thanks for your guidance this time. I'll keep getting stronger!" Goku said, looking back at Lynx from the Nimbus.
"When I'm strong enough, I hope you'll come teach me."
"All right, I'll be waiting for that day." Lynx smiled and nodded.
"Goodbye then." Goku waved, about to leave.
Just then...
"Kakarot... Goku!"
A voice suddenly called out.
He turned and saw a stranger standing beside Lynx.
"Uncle, what's up?"
"Keep getting stronger!" Bardock said, struggling to hold back his emotions.
"Be careful!" Gine also said.
"Mm!" Goku nodded at them and disappeared over the horizon.
"Goodbye, Bulma, Launch, Oolong, Puar!" Tien and Yamcha also said their farewells and followed Goku.
After they left, Lynx bid farewell to Bulma and the others, then returned to Planet Vegeta.
