Chapter 10 - Uta's Death Countdown? Determined to Set Sail and Search for Rosen!

The Grand Line, First Half.

A Navy warship was speeding toward the Calm Belt, attempting to bypass it directly to reach the East Blue.

At the bow of the warship, Gion was reading a copy of a diary with great interest.

"Another wife on the left, another wife on the right."

"This man Rosen seems quite satisfied with Uta."

"As expected, I must stop Uta and Rosen from meeting."

Gion murmured to herself, stroking her chin.

"However, according to what Rosen said, Elegia wasn't destroyed by the Red-Haired Pirates..."

"But by Uta herself?"

"She was so young back then, wasn't she?"

"What Devil Fruit did she eat?"

"To be able to cause such devastation after losing control."

At that moment, Gion frowned deeply.

After all, Uta's Devil Fruit ability managed to destroy Elegia right under the noses of the Red-Haired Pirates.

Even though the Red-Haired Pirates weren't as strong then as they are now,

Gion had already raised the danger level of Uta's Devil Fruit to an alarming height in her mind.

At the same time, she hoped Rosen would record Uta's Devil Fruit abilities in this diary copy.

Unfortunately, she never got that answer.

[That guy Shanks thinks he's gentle, but doesn't realize how much of a hole that left in Uta's heart.]

[If Shanks had taken Uta with him back then and guided her properly, she might not have died at 21.]

[Such a lovely girl dying so young is truly a tragedy.]

[For that alone, Red-Haired Shanks has committed an unforgivable sin.]

"Uta… will die?"

"And at just 21?"

"What happened in between?"

Gion's eyes widened in disbelief.

Meanwhile, at Uta's location—

"I'll die… at 21?!"

"What kind of sick joke is this?!"

Uta stood up in horror, unable to believe it.

"Huh? Uta, what's wrong?"

"How could you possibly die at 21?"

"You're still so young,"

Gordon frowned deeply as he looked at Uta,

thinking she might be mentally breaking down from the truth he had just revealed.

Uta looked at Gordon with hesitation but eventually shook her head.

"It's nothing, Gordon. I'm fine."

She wanted to tell Gordon about the diary copy,

but every time she tried, an overwhelming sense of death crept over her.

Faced with such terror, she dared not reveal the truth.

"I'm 19 now."

"So, I only have a little more than a year left?"

"Only about two years left to live?"

"Damn it, how can I accept this?"

Uta sat on the grass, clenching her fists tightly.

Just then, the diary copy was updated with new content.

[This sailing journal system… can it even extract manga and anime scenes from my memories of the One Piece world?]

[That's surprisingly user-friendly.]

[I hope the fate shown in this image doesn't happen to the real Uta in this world.]

"My… coffin?!"

Uta's eyes widened as she clicked the image Rosen had uploaded, trying to suppress the fear in her heart.

In the image, the Red-Haired Pirates were gathered around, and in the center was a coffin covered with a white cloth.

Uta's heart skipped a beat. Though she couldn't see the face under the cloth,

the recognizable hair gave away that it was her beneath it.

Even though it was just a screenshot from the One Piece anime stored in Rosen's memory,

Uta had an overwhelming feeling—this was her actual future.

"I… really die?"

"But why?"

"My songs have just begun to be recognized by everyone…"

"I still want to create a new era with my voice!"

"No, I don't want to die! I don't want to die!"

Uta clutched her head, shaking it violently,

as if she could shake off the shadow of death looming over her.

But no matter how hard she shook, it was useless.

Gordon became more worried seeing her like this.

He wanted to comfort her but didn't know how.

Just as he finally thought of something that might help, Uta suddenly calmed down.

"Uta… Are you okay now?"

Gordon blinked, curious.

"I'm fine now, Gordon."

"Sorry for worrying you."

"Don't worry. I really am okay now."

Uta stood up and gave Gordon a big smile.

Hearing this, Gordon finally let out a sigh of relief.

Shanks had entrusted him with looking after Uta.

If she were to suddenly suffer a mental breakdown, he wouldn't know how to explain it to Shanks.

"Gordon, I have something to discuss with you."

"I'm leaving Elegia."

Uta said.

"What?!"

"Why?"

Gordon exclaimed in shock.

"I'm going to find someone."

"A man named Rosen."

Uta smiled softly, a slight curl at the corner of her lips.
