Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Teaching

šŸ¤” If someone like Ryan existed in the Marvel world, would you train him or keep power to yourself?

Also, power stones mean a lot for rankings—I'll post 10 bonus chapters if we hit 50 power stones this week. Let's gooo! šŸ’„

George saw Ryan sitting silently on the sofa and quietly chuckled to himself. At the same time, he let out a subtle sigh of relief—things were finally beginning to make sense.

Ryan had regained his composure. He stood and walked over to the liquor cabinet, retrieving two glasses. Glancing at George, he asked, "Want some?"

George nodded. Ever since his last drink with Ryan, he occasionally indulged. With the Chaos Pearl enhancing his physical constitution daily, he didn't need to worry about alcohol affecting his health. Besides, considering the sum of his two lifetimes, his mental age was nearly fifty, and in his previous life, drinking with leaders had been routine.

Ryan grabbed a bottle of bourbon, popped the cork, and poured two half-glasses of whiskey. Returning to the sofa, he handed one to George, tapped his glass against it, and took a generous gulp.

George sipped his whiskey, then spoke up.

"I'm sorry, Uncle Ryan. Before, because of my teacher, there were things I couldn't explain without his permission. I truly apologize."

Ryan shook his head, clinked glasses with George again, drained his whiskey, and looked at him deeply. "It's not your fault, George. You did the right thing. Some matters can't be publicized. You handled it well. I was just shocked by your teacher's methods. I've never seen anything like that before. Was that what you meant when you asked if I had seen anything magical?"

George stood, walked to the liquor cabinet, and refilled Ryan's glass before answering. "At the time, my teacher had just begun teaching me his abilities. I was curious, so I asked you."

Ryan took only a small sip this time and let out a long breath. "The world is vast..."

He then looked at George with a smile. "So, have you learned your teacher's skills now? He said he wanted you to teach me. Don't tell me you haven't even learned them yourself! Hahaha!"

George laughed heartily. "My teacher has too many skills. He's only taught me the basics so far. He says once I master the fundamentals, I'll naturally progress."

He grinned, formed a hand seal, and with a faint 'bang,' a slightly stiff clone appeared beside him. It was a deliberate choice—he used the basic Clone Technique instead of the more advanced Shadow Clone to avoid suspicion. He wasn't ready to reveal the Transformation Technique yet.

Ryan laughed aloud. "Alright, genius, where do we start?"

George teased, "We start with rest, of course! Uncle Ryan, you're too excited—it's not the right state of mind for learning. Get some good rest first. I'll teach you tonight."

Ryan blushed slightly. "You brat, teasing your uncle now? I'm just excited to learn those magical techniques! Fine, you're right—I need to calm down."

He drained the rest of his whiskey, stood up, and walked to his room.

George watched him go with a small smile. He had indeed planned to teach Ryan some skills—namely, the Three Body Technique and the Chakra Refining Technique.

He had several reasons for doing this.

First, he needed to test whether skills from other worlds could be learned by people native to this one. Teaching Elly how to cook had been simple—if you follow the recipe and get similar ingredients, you can recreate a dish. But the buns Elly made never glowed like his. That small detail hinted at a deeper principle.

The Three Body Technique and Chakra Refining Technique were unique to the Naruto world. George suspected there were foundational rules behind them—rules not so easily transferred. Ryan would be the test subject.

Second, now that George had confirmed that this world's development timeline largely matched the United States of his previous life, the knowledge he brought with him had immense value. As the saying went, if you're standing on the crest of the wave, even pigs can fly.

George didn't just plan to fly. He intended to soar.

Binding Ryan to his path by teaching him these techniques would cement his role as an essential ally. Right now, Ryan was his most reliable support.

Third—and most crucial—this was America: the land of daily gunfights. To protect his growing influence and wealth, George needed more than just plans—he needed strength, and so did his allies.

If he couldn't trust someone like Ryan, who had cared for him when he was young and helpless, then he wouldn't be able to trust anyone.

That evening, after dinner, George and Ryan sat together in Ryan's bedroom. George had Ryan sit cross-legged on the bed, despite his injured ankle. George had learned that while the pose helps beginners calm their mind and sense energy, he himself could refine chakra in any posture—though with some variation in speed.

Standing at the foot of the bed, George began, "Uncle Ryan, before we start refining chakra, you need to understand what chakra is. It's a special form of energy used to activate ninjutsu. It comes from combining your spiritual and physical energy. Only by understanding that can you begin the process."

He went on to explain how to sense and control those energies, combining them into chakra.

George then taught him the basics of the Chakra Refining Technique, including some of his own insights. Once Ryan had the foundation, George left him alone to process it.

Chakra refining isn't easy. A genius might grasp the basics in a day. An ordinary person might take much longer.

But that didn't matter. George had taken the first step—and now, so had Ryan.

Translator's NoteHope you enjoyed the chapter! Personally, I love arcs where the protagonist begins empowering others—it raises the stakes and makes the journey feel more epic.

I'm also considering launching a Patreon in the future to give early access to chapters (thinking around 10–20 advance chapters to start). Would you be interested? If so, how many chapters would you like to see unlocked for tiers like $2, $5, or $10? Let me know in the comments!
