"On these streets, if you don't have a name, you're just a carcass on the sidewalk." Ryder, a 22-year-old Dominican immigrant, lives off the scraps of betting money he wins in underground rings. His father was a boxer who was shot dead for gambling debts, leaving Ryder with his ailing mother. When Crowe, Harlem's borough ruler, begins to violently take over every fight club and ring in the city, Duke, a former street king, recruits Ryder to fight Crowe and unite other street fighters. But behind every punch lies grudge, blood, and ambition. Ryder must choose: rule the streets, or be buried in them.
