Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Broken-Hearted Yu Xiaogang

At Shrek Academy, Yu Xiaogang lay on the bed with a dejected expression. Zhao Wuji had summoned the most powerful healing-type soul master he could find, but Yu Xiaogang's shattered kneecap was beyond repair.

"What on earth is going on?"

Poison Douluo Dugu Bo's face darkened. Turning the Slake Academy principal and teachers into invalids was a direct insult to him!

"I only know his soul beast is a dragon, and it's likely connected to the demon dragon that kidnapped Xue Qinghe."

Flanders' face turned pale as he recounted the events to everyone, but he omitted the part involving Liu Erlong. Such a shameful matter, if it were to spread, would utterly ruin the reputation of the Golden Iron Triangle in the soul master community.

"Xiao Gang was beaten by that beast just for saying a few words about the demon dragon."

Liu Erlong's eyes were dark, and her facial expression was expressionless. She stood alone in the corner, dressed in conservative clothing.

"It was like this. That person's strength was unlike anything I've ever seen. The three of us were completely powerless to fight back, and we didn't even have time to use our soul techniques."

Flanders' face betrayed a hint of terror; he hadn't even seen what soul technique the man had used.

"How is that possible? Could the opponent be a Super Douluo?"

Dugu Bo's expression fluctuated between anger and confusion. He recalled that back in Soul City, when facing Bi Bi Dong, they had been completely overwhelmed by that terrifying aura.

"If I'm not mistaken, the opponent must be from the Soul Hall! Only they could have such a terrifyingly powerful individual."

A voice rang out from outside the door, followed by the door being pushed open. A middle-aged man walked in, accompanied by a young woman and two elderly men.

  "Ning Rong Rong? It's you!"

Zhao Wuji was startled—it was the Seven Treasure Pagoda Sect who had arrived.

"We heard about this incident early on. Now, the entire city is conducting a massive manhunt for this person. I think this approach is ineffective and will only cause panic among the people."

Ning Fengzhi spoke slowly, his face betraying a hint of gravity. If the matter was indeed the work of the Soul Hall, then they would have no choice but to swallow their anger.

"They've injured Dean Flanders and the Master so badly! Father, I must make that person pay the price!"

Seeing the gruesome state of Flanders and Yu Xiaogang, Ning Rongrong's eyes turned red, and her heart ached.

"Rongrong, calm down first. The other party is likely a high-ranking figure. We need to plan carefully."

Ning Fengzhi sighed softly. The appearance of such a powerful figure in Tian Dou City, yet he knew nothing about it, stirred a strong sense of crisis within him.

"That person doesn't belong to the Soul Hall."

At that moment, Liu Erlong spoke up, her tone firm as her calm eyes swept over the crowd.

  "Oh? Why?"

"First, he is very young. If this person belonged to the Soul Hall, given his current strength, the Soul Hall would have no reason to hide him; instead, they would boast about him. Moreover, the record of the youngest titled Douluo in the entire continent would be broken, and he would lead by a landslide."

"Second, he acts without restraint, completely disregarding the so-called Upper Three Sects. If he truly belonged to the Soul Hall, he wouldn't act so recklessly."

Liu Erlong calmly analyzed the situation for everyone. She had personal contact with that person, and she could sense his life state very clearly. That vibrant vitality didn't belong to an elderly titled Douluo, and his skin was also quite smooth and tender. That person's age was even younger than Ning Rongrong's!

"If that's the case, then he doesn't belong to the Soul Hall. Where did he come from?"

Ning Fengzhi furrowed his brows; this person seemed to have appeared out of thin air.

"I have a rough idea of this person's origins."

Yu xiaogang, who had been lying in bed without speaking, suddenly spoke up.

"Oh? Master, do you know his origins?"

Everyone couldn't help but look at Yu Xiaogang, eagerly awaiting his answer.

"We all misunderstood earlier. After the Crown Prince was kidnapped by the demon dragon and returned safely, I suspect that the demon dragon also returned with him, but in human form. The fire dragon's soul power on the two dragons piqued his interest, so he attacked us."

  "What!"

Everyone was shocked. A dragon that had transformed into a human still possessed the strength of a titled Douluo! How was that possible?

"I speculate that the demon dragon possesses a soul technique that allows it to transform, enabling it to maintain its strength without diminishing. If I recall correctly, when the Crown Prince first returned, there was still a person accompanying him."

Yu Xiaogang's eyes shone with wisdom. As the Crown Prince of the Tian Dou Empire had been abducted by the demon dragon, such a major event naturally caught his attention. He had also sent people to investigate the details of the Crown Prince's return to the city thoroughly.

"That's right, but that person disappeared, so we didn't think much of it."

"Hmph, he's in Tian Dou City and won't be leaving anytime soon."

At this point, Yu Xiaogang unconsciously glanced at Liu Erlong, his eyes filled with struggle and pain.

Facing that heartbreaking gaze, Liu Erlong's heart trembled slightly. What did Yu Xiaogang mean by looking at her now?

The others, who had been watching the master, naturally noticed his change in expression and followed his gaze to Liu Erlong, their eyes tinged with a hint of scrutiny.

This Liu Erlong seemed different. Though she appeared emotionally low, her entire being radiated a vibrant glow, and she exuded an alluring charm she had never possessed before. Could it be...

"Cough. Since this person—no, this demon dragon—is still in the city, let us dispatch more men to search for it."

Jian Douluo Chenxin noticed the awkward atmosphere, cleared his throat, and spoke slowly.

"Alright, let's go. If you find it, send a signal first. Do not engage with it."

Zhao Wuji also motioned for everyone to leave, glancing thoughtfully at Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong before departing.

"Master, Dean, rest assured. I will capture that person and hand them over to you for punishment!"

After making her vow, Ning Rongrong left the room without looking back.

"They've all left. Why are you still here?"

Yu Xiaogang raised his eyes slightly and asked Liu Erlong in a low voice.

Flanders glanced at the two of them and lay silently beside them.

  "Xiaogang, I..."

Liu Erlong's face paled. Facing this unfamiliar Yu Xiaogang, she felt as though her heart was being squeezed by an invisible hand, the pain making it hard to breathe.

"Shut up! Don't you dare call me that!"

Yu Xiaogang seemed to have been provoked, shouting hoarsely.

  "I..."

"You slut! You must have enjoyed yourself last night!"

Yu Xiaogang was so angry he couldn't breathe. His hand trembled as he raised it slowly and pointed at Liu Erlong.

Hearing this, Flanders suddenly looked up, his eyes filled with horror. "Erlong, you! "

  "No, I'm..."

Liu Erlong's legs gave way, and she took two steps back. Her face was filled with disbelief. She never expected Yu Xiaogang to say such things. She had thought he would comfort her.

  "You were forced? Bullshit!"

Yu Xiaogang sneered and began to berate Liu Erlong. Though he couldn't see clearly what had happened last night, he had heard everything, and his fragile heart had been shattered by the events of the previous night.
