"Once, I was a demon feared by gods. But even monsters fall—sometimes, to the kindness of fools."— Ryomen Sukuna

🕯️ Scene 1 — Uneasy Peace

It had been a week since Yuji's arrival.

In that short time, Kuoh Academy had changed.

Whispers followed him in the halls. He wasn't just the muscular new guy from gym class anymore — he was the boy who had defeated a rogue exorcist, who carried an aura even devils didn't quite understand. A boy with eyes like someone who'd seen too much death… and still chose to smile.

Yuji didn't care about the attention. But he noticed it.

Especially when Rias asked him to return to the Occult Research Club that afternoon — not for a mission, but for something else.

"We've made a decision," she'd said. "But it involves him."

He knew what that meant.

🏰 Scene 2 — The Devil's Circle

The ORC's lounge felt tenser than usual.

Rias sat at the head of the room, flanked by Akeno, Kiba, Koneko, and a fidgety Issei who kept glancing toward the door. Yuji stood in the center, arms folded, watching their reactions.

"You've all seen what he can do," Rias began. "But none of us truly know what he carries inside him."

Akeno tilted her head.

"The power I felt when that Fallen Angel attacked… it was ancient. Heavy. Far beyond cursed energy."

Yuji sighed.

"You want to meet him properly."

Rias met his gaze.

"Yes."

Yuji closed his eyes.

"Alright. But don't say I didn't warn you."

👑 Scene 3 — The King of Curses Appears

The room went still.

The shadows behind Yuji thickened like ink poured into water. The chandelier dimmed. Air grew dense with pressure — like the weight of centuries pressing down.

Then he stepped out.

Ryomen Sukuna.

Not just a spirit or whisper, but fully formed — towering, regal, clad in crimson-black robes adorned with curse marks that glowed faintly. Four eyes. A smile like a blade.

Everyone stood instinctively — except Koneko, who shifted into a crouch, her aura bristling.

Sukuna regarded them with amusement.

"So these are the devils you've been playing nice with," he said, voice echoing with layered tones."Hmph. Soft."

Akeno's smile flickered with unease.

"He's… handsome in a terrifying way."

"That's King of Terrifying, girl," Sukuna replied, grinning.

Kiba stepped forward, cautious.

"What… are you really?"

Sukuna tilted his head.

"A ghost. A god. A curse that refused to die. Take your pick."

"You killed people," Koneko said, voice low. "Thousands."

"Millions," Sukuna corrected. "In my first life. But death changes things."

Yuji stepped beside him.

"He's not like that anymore."

"I'm still a monster," Sukuna admitted. "But I'm his monster now."

🔥 Scene 4 — The Tale of the Curse King

The devils listened as Sukuna began to speak.

"Once, I ruled a land soaked in blood. Sorcerers feared my name. I devoured curses and kings alike. But it was never enough. I didn't want followers — I wanted freedom."

He paced slowly, each step echoing unnaturally.

"Then I was sealed — a thousand years, my soul split into twenty fingers. I should've rotted in silence…"

He paused, looking down at Yuji.

"Until he came along."

Yuji looked away, embarrassed.

"He didn't run. Didn't beg. He fought me. Not to kill me… but to stop others from dying."

Rias leaned forward.

"And now?"

"Now?" Sukuna smirked. "I walk beside him. I kill only if he allows it. Not because he's strong enough to contain me… but because he chose not to become like me."

A long silence followed.

Issei whispered,

"...Dude, that's metal."

Rias, surprisingly, nodded.

"Then you're not just a remnant. You're… reborn."

Sukuna chuckled.

"Let's not get poetic."

💬 Scene 5 — The Respect Yuji Never Asked For

Later that evening, as Sukuna faded back into the ether, the room remained heavy with the weight of what they had heard.

Rias turned to Yuji.

"He respects you. That's rare — even among devils."

Yuji shrugged.

"He calls me an idiot half the time."

"And yet he listens to you."

Koneko looked up at him, her expression softer than usual.

"You must've been through hell."

Yuji smiled sadly.

"More like hell with homework."

Akeno stepped closer, watching him curiously.

"You carry a curse… but your soul doesn't feel cursed at all."

"Maybe that's the real curse," Yuji said quietly. "Wanting to save everyone… and knowing you can't."

Rias nodded slowly.

"You're not like anyone we've met. You're not a devil. Not a human. Not a god. But somehow, you fit here."

Issei grinned.

"Dude. You're like our shōnen protagonist now."

Yuji laughed.

"Guess I just need a rival and a power-up scream."

☁️ Scene 6 — The Night Sky and the Curse That Protects

That night, Yuji stood on the school rooftop again, leaning against the railing. The stars above Kuoh were clearer than he remembered from his world — brighter, somehow softer.

Sukuna appeared beside him again.

"You handled that well," the King muttered. "Didn't even flinch when they stared."

"They had a right to," Yuji said. "I just didn't want you to explode."

"Please. I'm not that volatile anymore."

Yuji chuckled.

"You're mellowing out."

Sukuna snorted.

"Don't get used to it."

There was a pause.

"They admire you," Sukuna said at last.

"I don't need admiration."

"Exactly. That's why you deserve it."

Yuji blinked. That… almost sounded like a compliment.

"Thanks," he muttered.

"Shut up, brat."

But Sukuna didn't leave. He stood with him, watching the stars — the King and his vessel, finally at peace.
