Summary:
It was long believed that the sigils were magical creations — arcane symbols crafted by ancient sorcerers to resist the Hollow God's erasure. But this is a lie repeated for safety.
Sigils were never made.
They are not inventions.
They are memories of the world itself, imprinted onto those the world cannot afford to forget.
The sigils are echoes — fragments of true reality.
Not symbols of power, but proof that something once was, and that someone still remembers it.
The mark does not grant power.
The memory behind it does.

Hidden Truth: Sigil-Bearers Aren't Chosen… They Chose
The sigil is only visible when the bearer recalls something the world has tried to forget. That means every sigil-bearer has — at some point in their life — made a decision to remember something painful.
Most people forget because forgetting is easier.
But those who refuse to let go, who bury truth deep in their hearts even after the world denies it — they become anchors of memory.
Thus, every sigil marks a person who once made a sacrifice to remember.
Even if they no longer recall what that sacrifice was.

Kaelen's Implication
At some point in her past, Kaelen made a choice.
A choice so monumental, it defied divine erasure.
And though she doesn't yet know what she gave up to remember…
The sigil is proof that her will was stronger than the Hollow God's silence.

Final Excerpt (from the original Codex):
"Do not seek the source of the sigil in ink or spell.
Seek it in grief. In defiance.
In the place where forgetting would be easier… but you chose not to."
