(On the way to school)
"Ooh! My stomach is eating itself.
I can smell food everywhere in the air."
"Hey mom… today I want to eat a hamburger at lunch."
"Sure, my little darling." (Mom and daughter walk in front)
(Satoru sees them with jealousy and pain)
"I wish it was me…"
(A thug approaches the mom and daughter)
"Hey lady, want to come over?" said the thug to the girl's mom.
"Shut up… and get out of my way," the lady replied, irritated.
"Why would I do that when I see a goddess of beauty in front of me? But don't worry, I'm not interested in underage, so I won't bother your daughter," said the thug.
"Hmm… now they'll see how filthy this world is," said Satoru, watching from a distance.
The thug drags the lady by her hair.
"Leave my hair! Help… help…" she screams in desperation.
"Who do you think cares what happens to you? Whether you live or die. Nobody can hear you in this corner of the street."
The daughter tries to punch the thug and shouts for help with tears in her eyes.
"Leave my mom!" said the daughter.
"Shut up, brat! Or do you want me to start with you instead?"
"No! Don't do anything to her!" the lady begged.
"So, you finally decided to listen," said the thug.
"Please, I beg you… leave us alone."
(Satoru sees the crying girl)
"Why do I… want to protect them?"
"Please someone help my mom!"
No time to think—
"Hey! Bastard, leave them alone or I'll make sure you see your guts hanging out of your body," Satoru said coldly.
"Huh! You think a kid like you can do that? Maybe I'll cut you into bite-size pieces and feed them to a dog," the thug growled.
(Satoru runs and kicks the thug in the head. The man falls unconscious after colliding with the wall.)
"Thank you! I'll never forget your kindness," said the lady.
"No need for that," Satoru replied.
"Thank you, big brother!" said the little girl, smiling.
"Huh? Big brother?" Satoru thought.
"Anyway, I should leave now."
Ughh! (Satoru gasps in pain)
"What did you think? You can take me down that easily?" (The thug stabs Satoru in the back.)
"Now he won't disturb us again. Shall we continue our little party?" the thug says with a devilish grin.
He pulls the knife out and licks the blood from the blade.
Both mom and daughter tremble in fear.
"Come here! I want to taste the mama first," he growls, stepping forward.
(Satoru stands up, bleeding)
"If you can't be taken down by a kick… then how can I leave you alive? I'll be the one sending you to hell for your sins."
(Satoru coughs blood, his teeth red, and smiles)
(Satoru charges forward. The thug tries to stab him again, but Satoru dodges. He grabs the thug's hand, knees him in the chin, slams him to the ground, and stabs his heart.)
"You have a heart… but not humanity," he whispers.
"Let me call an ambulance!" the lady panics.
"Big brother, are you alright?" the little girl asks through tears.
Satoru, in pain: "At least you'll get to live your life…"
"What's your name, little sister?" (gently taps her head)
"Ana. My name is Ana," she sobs.
"That's such a lovely name."
"You know Ana, I always wanted a little sister like you… cute and sweet."
"Ana always wanted a big brother like you." (She keeps crying)
"And now I'll tell all my friends I have a really caring brother who is kind, strong, and protects me."
"Yes… you may tell your friends you have a big brother now," said Satoru.
Satoru thought, "But I think it's too late for me to be your brother."
"I'm glad I met you, Ana… though I wish it was a bit sooner."
"Thanks for calling me brother, even if just for a moment…"
(Satoru leaves this world behind with tears in his eyes)
"Brotherrrr!" Ana bursts into tears.
"I'll never forget you, my brother. But will you remember me?"
