Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: “The Breaking Begins”

He mocked their egos. Now, he dismantles their ideals.

Scene 1: Watchtower – Midnight

The League sits in silence.

No alarms. No missions. No threats.

Just an invisible pressure in the air — Elias's words still echoing from the Disappointment Awards.

Flash paces.

Wonder Woman grips her sword tighter than usual.

Batman... hasn't spoken since.

And Superman? He hasn't blinked in twenty minutes. The cape sways with barely restrained fury.

Batman:

"He's not just provoking. He's targeting weak points. Deliberately."

Diana:

"He's learning too fast. Reading us like open scrolls."

Flash (irritated):

"Then maybe stop monologuing every time you sneeze!"

Silence.

Diana:

"…He's inside our heads."

Scene 2: Elias in the Observation Deck

Elias stands, back turned, hands behind him like a villain in a drama.

The stars swirl outside. His suppression collar glows faintly.

He whispers to himself:

"It's always the same. Gods, heroes, councils.

So high up… they can't see the cracks below."

"They deserve to break.

Piece by holy piece."

Scene 3: Mental Dismantling – Part 1: Aquaman

Aquaman storms down the hallway. The League needs answers. Elias is alone.

Arthur:

"You think you're clever? Insulting people who bleed for this planet?"

Elias (tilts head):

"I think you're insecure. You rule the ocean but never earned respect on land.

That's why your voice shakes when you speak on Earth."

Arthur:

"You want to fight?"

Elias (steps forward):

"No. I want to remind you that Atlantis only listens because of your bloodline.

Not your will. Not your mind. Just… lineage."

Arthur (growling):

"You don't know anything about me."

Elias (calm):

"I know you wear your father's guilt like a crown.

And no crown can cover that much shame."

Arthur freezes. A silent blow. A strike to identity.

Elias walks away.

Arthur stays rooted.

Scene 4: Mental Dismantling – Part 2: Batman

Elias finds Bruce alone in the Batwing hangar.

Elias:

"Still brooding in the dark? You do realize that's a brand now, right?

You're less 'vengeance' and more 'goth billionaire with abandonment issues.'"

Bruce (cold):

"What do you want?"

Elias:

"To remind you that your greatest fear... is irrelevance.

No superpowers. Just money and paranoia.

You're one EMP away from being a depressed ninja with trauma."

Bruce (low tone):

"Don't push it."

Elias:

"I'm not pushing. I'm exposing.

You think your plan for me will work?

I already know your 17 contingencies.

You were planning to take me down... before I even said hello."

Bruce: "You're dangerous."

Elias:

"And you're afraid.

Not of me.

But of being the weakest in the room — with a god complex and no godhood."

He walks off.

For the first time in years, Batman doesn't follow.

Scene 5: Mental Dismantling – Part 3: Flash

Elias finds Barry mid-run, halfway across the tower.

Elias (shouting):

"Hey Speedy!"

Flash (slowing):

"What? You gonna roast me again?"

Elias:

"No. Just wanted to ask…

What's it like to outrun every problem in your life?"

Flash (squints):

"What does that mean?"

Elias (serious):

"It means you've been so fast, you forgot to stop and heal.

You're not saving time. You're avoiding it."

Flash (offended):

"I—I'm trying to fix things!"

Elias:

"Or rewrite them.

Because facing the consequences...

would mean realizing that your biggest enemy was never time.

It was you."

Barry vanishes.

But not in anger. In retreat.

Scene 6: Council of Gods – Silent Viewing Chamber

The gods watch the Watchtower from their dimension.

No words spoken.

Only glowing eyes and shifting cosmic murmurs.

Above the main altar, a single phrase echoes:

"Candidate shows elevated manipulation capacity.

Mental dismantling progressing.

Emotional dominion: 62%."

A whisper stirs:

"He grows more dangerous... than the one who gave him power."

Scene 7: Elias Checks the System

[Suppression Ends in: 4 Days]

[Mental Collapse Radius: Expanding]

[Justice League Internal Trust: 39% and falling]

[Mockery Mode: Passive]

[Next Phase: Psychological Subjugation]

Elias smiles.

"Good. The cracks are forming."

He taps the screen, and a new target flashes:

Next Target: Superman.
