She didn't know what she expected as her arm lay on the almost intangible item before a familiar sentence flashed before her eyes.
Looking around her she stood there silently contemplating what she was supposed to do.
Everything in this place resembled a game format and thinking of the many games she had played there was one where you could only access things in your level.
So since she had served chips and fruit juice before she would be able to access these items.
Making up her mind she looked up at the massive signs hanging above the shelves and slowly started roaming around.
If anyone else was there to see her they would assume she was roaming around aimlessly but she was the only one who knew that she was looking for the produce section.
After walking around multiple aisles she was finally relieved when she saw the produce section sign before she rushed towards it.
The section was massive with numerous aisles and freezers filled to the brim with translucent multi coloured items.
Knowing what would happen if she touched them she walked to the fruit section.
Looking around her eyes lit up in unconcealed joy as she stared at the clear sight of oranges.
Walking up to them she placed her hand on one and was relieved to fill its cold textured surface.
Picking it up she was about to stare at it more when it suddenly disappeared from her arm startling her as she stared down at her hand in shock.
Feeling curious she picked up another one before it also disappeared in her hand.
While she stood there wondering where the oranges were disappearing to.
A two bags of oranges appeared in the fruit shoot back in the restaurant.
Net remained in the dark as she continued picking up oranges stubbornly hoping they would stop disappearing.
As she was busy cursing this very weird place a message suddenly appeared before her eyes.
"Fruit storage full.
Upgrade to increase size"
Staring at the message she realised what had happened to the disappearing oranges before she tapped on the upgrade icon.
In front of her a bunch of offers appeared showing her types of storages and their cost.
Staring at the massive numbers written below she was shocked.
Looking up at the top of the screen where her meagre possessions were displayed made her sigh as she exited the upgrade section.
After a single success she was more confident as she tracked down the potatoes and also picked them up until the storage was also full.
She seemed hesitant as she looked around the numerous aisles as if thinking about something before she resolutely exited the warehouse.
Back in the restaurant she checked both shoots and was happy to see them filled up before she walked to the counter.
Staring at the screen for a few minutes she tapped to continue when a different message suddenly popped up in front of her.
"Inadequate ingredients stocked."
Staring at the sentence she did not react and even seemed too calm as she tapped away at the screen before appearing in the massive warehouse a few seconds later.
Her eyes only roved around the signs for a few minutes before she walked towards the condiments isle.
After selling fries the next logical step was to add some condiments to it before thinking of maybe selling anything else.
As she walked her eyes were restless as looked around hoping to spot anything suspicious.
That was how she was able to see it, although it was a bit far off from her she noticed the cloudy items on one of the shelves.
While everything else was translucent and unclear the glowing cloudy items drew her attention.
Prompting her to ignore the close by condiment section and to walk up to the shelves.
From the shapes and colours this section seemed to carry wheat based products.
Staring at the slightly revealed bun shape she couldn't hold back as she reached her hand and touched the semi solid package.
The message this time was different as this item was not locked.
"To acquire an item visit the map."
A small map icon lay below the sentence making it easier for her as she tapped the icon before a familiar dizzying sensation engulfed her.
After feeling a bit more settled she curiously looked around the endless green field around her in confusion.
She had almost gone in a full circle in place when she finally saw it.
A glowing green square on the ground a few steps away.
As an avid player she did not dally as she walked up to the square and stood within it.
Everything felt surreal as she watched things of various sizes appear from a distance.
Looking at them fly towards her she tried not to move as she watched a massive fenced wheat field appear out of thin air.
Staring at the fields teaming with fully grown wheat she again did not wait for instruction as she walked towards the field.
Another green square appeared near the field as she walked around touching the plants that slowly harvested themselves before stacking themselves up on her back.
Feeling their heavy weight press down on her she quickly walked to the new green square and let them unload themselves before she walked back to the field.
As she was busy harvesting wheat in the sun lit massive fields the sun was setting back in the outside world.
Everyone was tense in the abandoned building as every member of the team quietly sat in different corners of the room.
Ever since they had climbed down to their preferred lower level.
Byron's resolute words felt like powerful echoes as they constantly rung in everyone's minds.
Life or death, companionship or solitude and even risk or safety.
Were the contrasting things they had to choose from a decision that felt heavier than ever with every passing second.
While some hoped for more time to think the sun did not care as it slowly went down before disappearing from view.
With the dark an eery cold wind blew in the room making the already quiet room even more tense as no one was willing to talk first.
After a few minutes of this Byron could not take it any longer before he asked the question they were all dreading.
"Have you all made up your minds?"
His calm voice was powerful as it rung in all their ears and was bound to rung for a bit longer if Victor did not speak up.
"Yes, I will go to the new shelter."
