Chapter 4: Brotherly bonding
'Well… at least that videogame heist came in handy… maybe a little too well.' It was a little embarrassing to see my brothers fight over videogames, but not too surprising. Right now, Butch and Boomer were playing videogames, Brick was sitting on the couch with me, and Mojo was currently in his work area making model ships.
"Heheheh, asteroids go boom!" Butch cackled, before Boomer shoved him away and grabbed the controller.
"Give me back the controller Butch! I still haven't saved the Princess!" Butch growled before he smashed his fist into his blonde brother's face. It wasn't long before it escalated into a looney toons style dust cloud of violence.
Brick and I shared a look, the two of us united in our irritation. Though that didn't mean we weren't throwing shots at each other while talking.
It's just what siblings do.
"Great, just great. Now they're fighting over even more stupid crap. Way to go, Blast!" Brick sneered, while I gave the red head a middle finger. Ignoring the slight pain I felt from moving my digits. Even with the painkillers, my body was still sore all over.
Which wasn't surprising considering how much the fucking Powerpuff Girls hammered me into the damn ground. I felt like shit. My left leg was broken, and put into a cast. My ribs were too. And I had cuts and bruises all over my body. And what little hot air my head had swelled up with had bust open like an unwanted birthday balloon.
It was a miracle I was still alive, and my body was going to take at least a few days to heal up.
Thankfully us Chemical X freaks were quick to recover from all but the most dire of injuries. We didn't have a bullshit healing factor like Wolverine, but we were pretty hardy. Given enough time to properly rest, I will recover from these injuries far faster than a regular human would.
At least that's what Mojo told me.
Though I didn't doubt his judgement. He would be the best kind of expert in this kind of thing since he's always tangling with the Powerpuff Girls.
It didn't make the healing process much better for me unfortunately. And my self control was slipping from the constant pain, and agitation my brother's antics gave me.
"At least they like it. And this wouldn't have been a problem if I had enough time to grab some extra TVs. Which I was going to do since I knew you morons would fight over it." I replied to him, occasionally taking a glance at the rather comical sight fight happening between Boomer and Butch.
And unlike the other times they fought, Boomer was actually making Butch work for it.
He really took a liking to that Mario rip-off game.
"Well maybe you should have woken us up first." Brick scoffed, picking his nose before flinging a booger at me.
Fucking gross… The urge to punch him was raising. Brick had a talent for getting under my skin, and this soreness was not helping! It was unfortunate that I still needed to recover from my battle with the Powerpuffs, and I couldn't afford to risk injuring myself further.
Which I knew I would since the only level of strength that would make Brick shut his mouth was the superhuman kind.
"I know that you smartass! I don't need to be told twice!" I retorted harshly, holding back a hiss as I felt my ribs creak. Brick's arms were crossed as he looked at me with a raised eyebrow. A strange look in his eyes. Thankfully he didn't press the issue further and left me to wallow in my suffering.
Two days had passed since my first battle with the Powerpuff Girls. The Powerpuffs had managed to get away from my brothers. Apparently my bros had been juked in the Townsville forest, and had even been slowed down by some traps the girls set up in it. I don't know if it was the girls who set them up, or if it was Professor Utonioum, but it did the trick.
It got my brothers off their tail, and spared them another brutal beating. Needless to say, the Rowdyruff boys were fucking pissed when they returned home empty handed. And I had to deal with them arguing with each other over who dropped the ball for the rest of that night.
And things had been… odd. But not in a completely bad way. Despite my bitching, there were some positives. For one, my injuries meant I wasn't going to be forced into going out with my brothers on their rampages throughout the city. And since I was a sitting duck, the Rowdyruff boys had been sticking to me like glue.
So Townsville was able to enjoy a few days of peace. It wouldn't last forever, but things would stay quiet for a couple more days before we returned to terrorize the locals. Something I didn't mind since I was more than happy to enjoy a moment of tranquility before I was forced back into the role of villain.
…
You know, I'm actually more annoyed than I thought about the idea of skipping out on some villainy. Sure I didn't particularly care about hurting the normies or destroying their livelihoods, but being bedridden is making me feel more and more restless. I've tried alleviating it by playing video games, but it just didn't do as much for me as it used to.
The appeal of video games was the power fantasy.
And well, I was living a power fantasy now.
Being the town's bad guy was far more fulfilling. Using my powers for my own ends instead of helping others gave me complicated feelings. On the one hand, my conscience was telling me to use them for the right reasons, to help others… but it just felt good to just do whatever the hell I wanted.
Whenever I wanted.
The law & order of a hypocritical society that I was so fearful of back in my previous life held no power over me anymore. At least not nearly as much as it did before. And if I tried going the hero route, I would have to bow my head down again. I don't know if the governments of this world were as bad as my previous life, but regardless, I hated the idea of giving up my autonomy.
I'll lock fists even with the Powerpuff girls if it meant I would never be a servant of the modern world again.
Surprisingly, my brothers hadn't really made fun of me at all for getting the shit kicked out of me by what they called a bunch of sissies. I knew that the Rowdyruff boys did typically have each other's backs, but I was expecting at least a little bit of teasing… maybe my injuries just spooked them?
A reminder that could have easily been them?
"Hey Blast?" The voice of my dopey brother Boomer brought me out of my thoughts. It seems that he lost interest in the game and was now sitting on the couch with me and Brick. The latter of whom seemed more interested in reading the batman comic.
"Yeah Boomer?" I wonder what sort dumb question he'd ask me this time? Boomer wasn't hard for me to get along with, but his density could be very grating to deal with. Even before I suffered through a Powerpuff induced beatdown.
"Why did those Powerpuff Girls come back?" Huh. That was a new one. And not what I expected.
"Because they're heroes, and heroes don't tend to give up that easily… even if they get the crap beaten out of them." I had first hand experience with that. No matter how much pain I inflicted on them. The Powerpuffs just kept bouncing back. It was as frustrating as it was admirable.
My mood started to sour at the memory of it.
I had been trying to avoid eating junk food out of boredom, but I could afford to stress eat at least once today.
"Could you pass me those chips Boomer? The green onion flavored ones?"
"Sure!" He really was like a dumb golden retriever sometimes. As I popped open the bag, and savored the flavor. Brick placed a hand on my shoulder, making me stiffen. I was anticipating another wet willy.
Instead of that, Brick gave me a pep talk.
"Would you quit sulking!? You're acting like a girl!" I glared at him for the insinuation of weakness on my part. "Don't give me that stupid look! You know I'm right Blast! Ever since we saved your sorry hide, you've been moping. You're a Rowdyruff boy! You're better then that! You weren't crying when we found ya, so stop acting like a sissie!"
…Well I guess he was right.
Even if he was being an asshole about it.
"Fair enough." I shrugged, munching on a potato chip.
"Next time, we'll finish those dumb girls off once and for all. Together." I looked at him in the eyes. Seeing the unusual amount of determination in them. It wasn't the usual cocky arrogance that I was used to seeing.
It felt like he was making a promise.
"...Yeah. We will." I nodded back at him. Brick finally seemed to be satisfied, and wanting to at least be polite, I holding the bag up to Boomer and Brick. So they could grab some chips too. Not like I wanted to eat the whole damn bag anyway.
Butch paused from his playing when he heard the rather loud crunching and flew towards us.
"Hey, I want some too!"
And thus, the day ended on a surprisingly wholesome note for us four. We played some videogames, eat some junk food, and discussed how we were going to pulverize the Powerpuff Girls if we saw them again.
And for once I joined in the villainous scheming. After taking a beating from the Powerpuff Girls, I was more then eager take a crack at getting some payback. Granted, they were just doing their job… but it was kinda hard for me to bring myself to care when I got jumped by them when I was just trying to get some videogames.
If I was going to be a proper supervillain, then I needed to retaliate.
Once I recovered, we were going to take a quick trip to a certain professor's lab. I highly doubt their home, but it couldn't hurt to check. Hopefully we'll find some clues as to where the girls were hiding.
And if we find no leads?
Well, I'm more then happy tear their entire home down to the foundations.
It's a win-win for me. Petty as fuck? Oh hell yes! Revenge was always an emotionally driven motive. I was under no delusions that this was necessary for my survival. If anything, this will probably just make the girls want to kill me even more!
And contrary to what bootlicking bleeding heart suckers would tell you, revenge was actually quite fulfilling if you did it right and knew where to draw the line. My line was at cold blooded murder and pointless cruelty… but I wasn't above property damage and theft.
I've done plenty of that stuff already.
It just sucks that I'm first going to have to wait.
Friday truly was the most blessed day of the week. Not only was it the day School and work was put to the side, but it was also the day I finally recovered from my injuries. To make more wonderful news, Mojo had finally finished the holoroom.
After getting a bit of exercise, me and my brothers finally headed out towards the Utonium's Residence. At my suggestion, we first looked through the windows to see if we could spot the girls or the Professor. I don't think they would hang around town anymore, and my assumption was proven correct when we saw no sign of the Utoniums.
Once we were sure that we there wasn't going to be a fight waiting for us… well we were going to bust the door down together, but Butch couldn't wait any longer to destroy something.
"Here's Butch!"
"Aw… I wanted to break the door down Butch!" Boomer whined before flinching as he felt Brick smack him upside the head.
"Quiet yer yapping and start searching! Butch and me will take the upstairs, you and Blast look down around here!" With that the four of us split off into two different groups. And I had to silently admit to myself that this place definitely looked a lot more cozier then Mojo's place. Then again, Mojo's lair was a supervillain lair and this was a rather spacious house built in the suburbs.
"Remember to use your X-ray vision Boomer. It'll make things easier for us." I firmly but not unkindly told my blonde haired brother.
"Oh yeah! I forgot we can do that…" He replied. I gave him a thumbs up, though inwardly I couldn't help but forget that I sometimes had that ability too. When you have flashy powers like Heat vision, super strength, and flight, you tended to forget about your more subtle abilities.
Anyway, Boomer and I first scoped out the kitchen. It was a neatly cleaned place, and was pretty easy for us to finish checking. Besides some silverware, and some grocery receipts that were clearly not recent, we didn't find anything useful in the kitchen.
Then we checked out the living room. Which was were Boomer's ADHD started to kick in when he turned on the game console that the Powerpuff girls had left behind. I'll admit that I probably didn't need to laser the game console to get Boomer's attention back on track.
But seeing that the girls had a game console in front of me just so defenseless… I couldn't resist an act of petty revenge by destroying it.
We quickly finished our little tour and vandalism of the house with only one last palace to check.
The professor's lab.
If there was anything useful to us, it would be in here.
"Careful Boomer. He might not be as devious as Mojo, but this is still a laboratory. Some of the chemicals here might be able to hurt you." I warned my brother who nodded at me in understanding. I'll keep an eye on him in case his brain wonders again, but it's important that we checked this place out carefully.
I carefully unlocked the door, and flipped the life switch. Illuminating the Professor's laboratory.
"Wooooooow… there's so many doo-hickys here? And glassy tube things!" Boomer was in awe, and I'll admit that I was too.
Professor Utonium's laboratory was quite spectacular to look at. It was filled with so many interesting things that I honestly was curious about. There was beakers, tubes, large computers that processed god knows how much data.
It was pretty overwhelming for me take in… I swallowed my saliva in an effort to calm my nerves. As we slowly floated down, I examined the area. In search of not only anything that could lead to where the girls have hidden themselves, but for traps.
'Hmmm… not even chemical X seems to be here.' A shame in that case. I could only imagine the weight in gold a super liquid that gave you superpowers was worth. And at the bare minimum, I could at least use to restore my powers if I got hit with Antidote X.
As we looked through, I eventually noticed something odd.
A security camera.
And it wasn't just locked in place… it was following us!
"Hey Blast, what's the matter?" Boomer didn't have a clue as to what a camera was. Though I didn't particularly care at the moment. I turned my head to give the camera a murderous glare.
In an instant, I grabbed the device, and stared right at the camera's lenses. The Utoniums would know who found it, and hopefully they would be able to understand my message.
"Consider this a small taste of the payback we're going to give you three when we find you… And trust me. We will find you!" I growled before melting the device into molten slug with my heat vision. With a dispassionate look, I watched the melted camera fall unceremoniously to the floor.
"B-Blast, what was that for?" Boomer looked a bit spooked. My sudden switch to being murderous must have scared him. Which I honestly felt a little bad for, so I decided to explain myself.
"That moving doohicky up there was a camera. We were being watched by them Boomer!"
It took the blonde a few moments to realize who I was talking about. Bless the hamster that is clearly working its ass off to get his brain cells moving. Once he finally realized, his confused expression quickly changed into a scowl. "...Really!? Those three sissies were watching us!? Where are they?"
"Not anywhere close to us that's for damn sure…" I sighed. The fact my curse wasn't censored told me as much too. The narrator seemed to stick to those girls like glue for the most part. If they were nearby, waiting for a prime moment to ambush us, we would already have been attacked by now.
"Let's go see if Brick and Butch had found anything useful." I highly doubted it, but I could always hope for the best outcome. The two of us flew up to the second floor. Which seemed to be in worse condition then the first floor. I then heard the distinct laughter that could only be from my brothers coming from a suspiciously girly looking front door.
When we opened the door, we were greeted with the sight of the Powerpuff Girls room…
Which Brick and Butch had completely trashed. Their toys were smashed, the mirror was shattered, the sheets and bed were shredded, and overall it looked like a Hurricane just had its way with their bedroom.
'Jeeze. They could have at least waited until we were all done first.' I didn't say anything, but my expression was deadpan as the chance for me to take personal payback was taken from me. Also these two were wearing panties on top of their heads… my eyes blinked in disbelief at the frankly ridiculous anime-like scene before me.
'They're wearing the Powerpuff Girls panties… Oh god are they going to catch the cooties and explode!? How long have they been doing this!? And they even went as far to pick ones that matched their outfit's color!!' I was actually feeling pretty damn embarrassed looking at them.
And Boomer didn't seem to happy either.
"Hey you two! We were supposed to destroy this house together!"
Though for more innocent reasons.
"We got bored!" Butch replied cheekily, before grabbing a blue panty and placing it on his head. Much to my horror. Boomer was taken aback for a second, before he poked at what I assumed were Bubbles' underwear before smiling.
"Huh… these are actually rather comfortable." I turned my head to a rather happy Brick, who seemed to be very smug for my liking.
"You idiots do know girls have cooties right?"
"Stupid Girls do. They're clothes don't. I thought you were supposed to be smart?" My eye twitched, but I decided it would be better for my sanity to change the subject.
"Did you two at least make sure you completely checked the upper floors first before doing this?"
"Yeah, but we found a whole lot of nothing. So me and Butch decided to muck about in the sissies room."
"I can see that…" I replied to him with a dry tone before sighing. Turning my back away from them for a second to think out loud to myself. "Well I guess the only thing left to do is to completely demolish their home."
I had forgotten one of the most sacred rules to follow when you were dealing with any of the Rowdyruff boys.
Never relax around them.
Before I could react, Butch forced one of Buttercup's green panties onto my head. My eyes widened in shock as I froze in disbelief and horror at what my meathead brother had done. That only lasted for a brief moment before I torn the undergarments off my head and tossed them the wall.
"Gah! Keep that crap away from me!" I glared at the surprised Butch, who then turned to glance at both Brick and Boomer. Who seemed to be in just as much shock over my reaction. My blood went cold as the three of them shared an evil grin before they started to approach me.
With panties in their hands…
It didn't take a rocket science to figure out what my moronic brothers were planning.
"You little turds wouldn't dare…" Despite growling threateningly at them, I was cautiously moving back. A sign of nervous weakness that my brother Brick immediately pounced on when he spoke his next orders.
"First one to catch Blast gets dibs on the console when we get home!"
"I'll kill all of you in your sleep!"
Needless to say, by the time we were done, we had accomplished our goals at the cost of my brothers finding a way to prank me. And as much as it pains me to admit it, once I got over my initial anger at the how it all ended, I had to admit that for the first time I found hanging out with them to be kind of… fun.
Hopefully the party at Mojo's place will be just as much fun. Like Quote ReplyReport Reactions:sicksock, Ruffleflufflebakedpotato, Gusaber and 538 others
Interlude: Everything Nice I
The last week has not been faring well for the Powerpuff Girls.
"Hey girls, how did things go- Oh my poor babies! Let me get you some ice packs!"
"Thank you Professor…"
Blossom and her sisters sighed in relief as they felt the ice packs touch their bruised skin. The leader of the Powerpuff Girls looked over her sisters. Bubbles and Buttercup. The first who was currently petting the farm cat to ease herself, while Buttercup had her arms crossed and was sulking.
She knew her sisters wouldn't blame her for today's failure, but she still couldn't help but feel that it was her fault things turned out like this.
'If only I had fought a little smarter, I could have defeated Blast there!'
Blossom had a broken nose and had lost her ribbon, but compared to her sisters she felt that she had gotten off lightly. Bubbles had a piece of her hair torn out, and Buttercup has gotten a painfully swollen blackeye.
And both had shards of glass stuck in their clothes. While Glass couldn't really hurt them, it was uncomfortable for them to have it scrap against their skin. And the glass shards also shredded their holes in their clothes too. So they'll have to visit the tailor again to get new outfits.
Anyway, it had taken a lot of effort on their part to convince their father to let them leave their grandparents farm in Farmsville. But he eventually relented knowing that they were the only ones capable of restoring peace to Townsville. Initially, they had given up on being heroes, but the hearing about the unchecked villainy going down in Townsville had inspired them to return to fighting crime.
And after being told about all the horrible things happening in the city the professor reluctantly gives his approval for them to return to fighting crime.
Though It was unlikely he would approve of any new attempts at stopping the Rowdyruff Boys anytime soon. At least while they were injured like this. Not that she minded. In their condition, the only thing they would accomplish is getting themselves beaten into the dirt again.
Blossom thought back to where it all had gone wrong.
The first thing they had done when they returned to the city was to check up on the Mayor and Bellum. And see if they were safe and sound. Miss Bellum might have even been able to provide a clue as to how to solve this crisis!
That was when they had discovered that the day the Rowdyruff Boys had made their debut was also the day a mysterious boy with similar powers captured Miss Bellum. The mayor had eyewitnesses who witnessed the kidnapping.
And they described a boy with brown hair, and purple eyes. He wore a purple striped shirt, and black jeans with a pair of black converse shoes. This was particularly suspicious to Blossom and her sisters. Because it was a similar get-up the Rowdyruff Boys wore.
As it turned out, they were right to be suspicious. Much to Blossom and her sister's dismay, the Rowdyruff Boys had a fourth member that they didn't know about. The townsfolk in the park even revealed his name.
His name was Blast.
They didn't just have three evil boys with superpowers to deal with.
They had four.
And Blast might just be the most dangerous sibling of them all…
"At least we got to meet Grandpa and Grandma. They've got so many cute animals here. Like this orange kitty! You're a good boy aren't you Garfield?" Bubbles cooed at the purring tabby. Distracting Blossom from her thoughts for a second. The red head turned to look at the rather adorable if chubby feline, and couldn't resist the urge to pet him anymore.
"At least that fat cat can't hypnotize anyone…" Buttercup scoffed, before turning off to the side to scowl at the wall. Blossom and Bubbles both looked at each other before sighing. Ever since they had been driven off by the Rowdyruff Boys, she had been sulking.
While Blossom was happy the traps they set up beforehand had managed to slow the boys down, Buttercup's pride had been severely wounded.
And she couldn't exactly blame her sister for it,
Their simple plan was to wait for one of the Rowdyruff Boys to separate from their group. And pick them off. One by one. They had been waiting for an opportunity, and that opportunity presented itself when Blast took off from Mojo's lair to rob a game store of all places.
They had almost been noticed. Blast had looked in their direction when they weren't hiding behind the clouds. Blossom and her sisters were able to hide back inside, but honestly it was pure luck that Blast seemed to have thought he was imagining things.
Once Blast took off the three of them carefully followed him. Though Buttercup wanted to immediately attack him, Blossom convinced her hot-headed sister to wait. One careless move could have him running back to his brothers and alerting them to their presence.
Blossom could feel her heart racing inside her chest as they followed him. He was the one who kidnapped Bellum. And while her sisters speculated he might be using her as a hostage to control the mayor, the mayor never mentioned anything about being blackmailed.
Which meant Blast targeted her specifically.
And that greatly angered her.
Blossom had never told anyone this, but she looked up to Miss Bellum as a role model of what a proper woman should be. She was beautiful, composed, and most importantly was competent at her job. And if the Mayor ever retired from being… the Mayor; Blossom would be the first to vote for Miss Bellum as the new one.
Blast captured her for a reason, and Blossom intended to find out why!
Once she saw him smash down through the roof of Playstart, she knew that was the moment they needed to strike. They then flew at full speed towards Blast's location once they were close enough.
Even if he could hear them now, it was far too late for him to get away from the Powerpuff Girls!
And as she stared down at him from the ceiling of the roof, she felt pretty confident that they could bring him to Justice. He was most likely the same as his brothers. Rude, egotisical, and prone to using violence. He'd likely get mad at being cornered, call them a bunch of sissies, and try to beat them up by himself.
And Blossom and her sisters would quickly show him the errors of his ways.
It should have been easy… but much to her surprise. Blast didn't act like his rude and obnoxious evil brothers did. When she looked him in the eye, she didn't see the uncontrolled aggression of the Rowdyruff Boys.
In fact, he seemed rather mellow, if creepily apathetic at first glance. It was hard to read him. His eyes flickered over to the fleeing pedestrians, but he didn't really seem too concerned with them. Keeping his focus mostly on them.
Blossom felt like Blast was examining them. The way he looked at them told her that he was likely going to try something clever. So she kept her guard up even as he made small talk with them. Especially since she knew that he was only doing it to stall.
Blossom only obliged since there were still civilians in the area, but she didn't plan on letting him flee. And she was mentally prepared for a fight to happen. Every time they confronted a villain, they never surrendered even if they knew that they were going to lose.
Just because he was playing nice at the moment didn't mean he wasn't going to get violent real quickly once he felt cornered.
Though she was unprepared for him to turn the mood around by pretending to surrender. It was silly in hindsight to expect him to be genuine with that given that he was a Rowdyruff Boy, but she had been too shocked at the moment to think about it too hard.
…And maybe, she was just naïve enough to hope that this could end peacefully. She wasn't as prone to easily forgiving criminals like Bubbles was, but Blossom really would rather not have to resort to violence if she could help it. Buttercup might enjoy it, but she'd rather Blast take responsibility for his crimes, and then turn over a new leaf as a responsible member of society.
Of course, that hope came crashing down the moment he smashed his hands together and blasted them away with the shockwaves. She and her sisters had done that type of attack before, but they didn't expect him to hit with such force that it knocked them all back far enough for him to get a head start.
That was the moment Blossom realized that she underestimated Blast. And her suspicions that he might be the most dangerous of his brothers was only reinforced when they started chasing him across Townsville.
Blast was outnumbered three to one. Something he obviously recognized since he was more focused on escaping them than fighting them all at once. He would switch up tactics to throw them off his. And he wasn't afraid to fight dirty when he needed to. Bubble's sore throat and the bite mark on Buttercup proved it.
He was definitely smarter than his brothers. Maybe stronger. Debatably more ruthless than his brothers.
She remembered that short moment when he bounced his heat vision off of a bakery store's glass window to hit her. Blossom managed to dodge it, but Blast was actually stunned when he noticed the damage it caused.
He actually looked concerned when he saw the civilians leaving the burning building.
That being said, the fact he was able to hold his own against three of them all at once they finally cornered him… was what worried her the most.
Blossom and her sisters didn't really hold back against their supervillains. And he was no exception. Normally in such a situation, even their most resilient and persistent enemies like Mojo Jojo would falter and be helpless in the face of a three-way beatdown.
Instead, he simply took the hits and gave back as best as he could.
Until he couldn't anymore.
'...My nose still hurts.' She scowled as felt the sting sensation of her nose caused her eyes to water. It was embarrassing, and Blossom made a mental note to pay Blast back for it later. Though she was more upset that she lost her hair accessory in the scuffle.
She liked her bow.
"Blossom, are you okay?" Bubbles asked, noticing her discomfort and promptly giving her a hug.
"Yeah… just trying to think of a way to beat them."
"It better be soon! We're two to one now, and I want to get even!" Buttercup snapped. It was clear to Blossom that her black haired sister's mood was going to clear anytime soon.
"Everyone has a weakness, Buttercup, we just have to find out theirs…" Though exactly what was something she was struggling to figure out.
"Girls, dinner is done!"
Thankfully she had time to figure it out.
The next few days were surprisingly peaceful. No news of robberies, nor any kind of rampant evil destruction. Which was a small relief to the Blossom. They needed time to rest and most importantly, think up of a plan.
The Rowdyruff Boys and Mojo were likely going to be on high alert now. They had made a move against one of their members, and would likely be scouring the city for them. If they had just managed to capture Blast, then they could have kept the element of surprise. Maybe long enough to take down another member and thin the Supervillains numbers even further.
Not to mention the potential information they could have gotten out of Blast… but there was no use crying over spilled milk.
"Girls, Girls! Come quickly, our house!" The professor shouted. Which immediately got all of their attention. Flying down, the three saw the professor looking over his laptop. Blossom and her sisters flew over there fathers shoulders and gasped at the people who were inside. On the video feed were the Rowdyruff Boys.
"What kind of loser golfs?" The red headed leader of the Rowdyruff Boys, Brick replied. Sneering at the Golf club in his hands. Blossom could tell her father was angered by Brick's comment, but then he saw the black haired one, Butch, grab one of his clubs and use it to smash one of his lamps.
"Oh if I was over there I'd give you a piece of my mind! Even I wasn't that badly behaved at their age…" Her father grumbled, and while the red and green boys wreaked havoc on the top floor, Blossom was taking notes over how Blast and Boomer were handling things.
"What are those two idiots doing?" Buttercup asked, looking at the two boys with no small amount of disdain. Though she noticed that Buttercup's heated glance was particularly focused on Blast. Bubbles fidgeted with worry, clearly distressed over how they were helpless to stop the superpowered delinquents from ruining their home.
Blossom returned her focus back on to the boys on the lower floor.
Boomer, the blonde haired boy, was just as destructive as his brothers Butch and Brick. If prone to being distracted by simple things. Oddly, it seems that Blast took his blonde brother's stupidity in stride as he went through every nook and cranny he could find.
Though she noticed he was more calculated with his actions. He didn't break anything. Carefully looking through any paperwork he found. He even looked at walls and ceilings with a noticeable intensity. Like he was looking through them… maybe he and his brothers had x-ray vision like them?
She pondered over what he could be looking for before a chill went down her spine.
"Blast must be looking for clues as to where we went…" Blossom said, her words making everyone in the room stiffen. Even Buttercup seemed perturbed at the idea that the Rowdyruff Boys might be able to find them.
"They shouldn't be able to… I took everything that could be used against us before we left Townsville. Including papers that could lead anyone back to your grandparents farm." The professor reassuring words alleviated Blossom and her sister's words. The Powerpuff girls knew that the Professor had taken Chemical X, but it was nice to hear extra reassurance from him.
They're attention was back on the screen. Brick and Butch were busy tearing up the upstairs, and Blast and Butch were currently looking through the living room… well until Boomer decided to play on their console. Much to Buttercups and Bubbles irritation.
Though that irritation quickly turned into outrage when Blast destroyed their gaming console to get his ditzy brother back on track.
"You complete and utter jerk!! You didn't need to do that!"
"Next time we fight, I'll knock all of your teeth out!!"
"Stay focused Boomer. We aren't here to play games…" Boomer seemed sad. Almost making Blossom forget that he was a supervillain for a moment. Blast looked a bit awkward at seeing his brother's expression, and coughed awkwardly. "Sorry. You know what, when we get back to Mojo's I'll let you have first go on the games all right?"
"You promise?"
"Yeah. Brick doesn't care that much for video games, and Butch will happily give up on it for the day if I spar with him. I need to sharpen my skills anyway."
"Thanks Blast!"
"Awww… That was nice of him. He does have a heart after all." Bubbles cooed, her anger lost at seeing the scene.
"He's still a villain, Bubbles. A villain who is currently breaking our house!" Buttercup pointed out.
"Mojo's their creator? I was wondering where those boys came from…" The professor was touched by the scene like Blossom was, but didn't let it distract him like it did Bubbles.
'I wonder if it's possible to break them apart…' Blossom pondered to herself silently. It was a possibility to keep in mind… but she would need to know more about how they interacted together before she could formulate a plan.
So she kept silent as they watched the scene play out, taking a moment to glance at what the Boys upstairs were doing. Brick and Butch were still tearing up the top floor, but she noticed that they hadn't entered their room just yet. Though it was only a matter of time until they did.
"Careful Boomer. He might not be as devious as Mojo, but this is still a laboratory. Some of the chemicals here might be able to hurt you." Blast warned his brother before slowly opening the door.
"I can be just as devious as Mojo… Though It's a good thing I did take chemical X out of there! I can only imagine the horrible things Mojo Jojo could do if he got his grubby little monkey hands on it." Her father grumbled to himself. Seemingly resigned that his laboratory was likely going to be trashed by the end of it.
"Wooooooow… there's so many doo-hickys here? And glassy tube things!" Boomer was enraptured as he looked at the Professor's laboratory. And Blast himself was also awed. As the boys continued their investigation, the girls noticed that Blast had suddenly stopped. Blossom wasn't sure at first why, but then he turned his head to look directly at them.
His look of confusion quickly changed as he realized that he was being watched.
"Hey Blast, what's the matter?"
And before the three of them could react, Blast's form blurred and the four of them were given a close-up of him murderously glaring into the camera. Bubbles yelped, Buttercups's frown faltered, the Professor dropped is pipe, and even Blossom's eyes widened.
Many villains had given them hateful stares, but it was always tinged with a hint of fear & respect. Because they knew that the Powerpuff Girls were stronger than them and would always save the day. While the Rowdyruff Boys didn't fear or respect them, they're wasn't a deep hatred of them. More like contempt.
Blast's eyes didn't show any fear though. Nor respect. And no contempt. Just a deep hatred.
"Consider this a small taste of the payback we're going to give you three when we find you… And trust me. We will find you!"
And a promise that he would pay them back.
The last thing the four saw before the camera in the laboratory went out was a flash of red light from Blast's heat vision. A sickening bubbling noise of melting metal and plastic could be heard before a loud crunching noise cut the cameras feed off completely.
A deafening silence followed. There was still the camera's upstairs, but everyone was currently reeling from that non too subtly threat.
"W-Well, that's one camera I'm going to need to get replaced. " The professor's words were a bit shaky, but Blossom could tell that most of his worry was directed for them. The threat after all, was obviously aimed at the Powerpuff girls.
"I liked him better when he was nice with his brother… why couldn't he stay like that?" Bubbles sniffed, her words making her more tomboyish sister Buttercup scoff.
"Tch, that guy has a lot of nerve acting so tough after the whooping we gave him last time… The only reason he's not in a jailcell right now is because he had his brothers bail him out! Right Blossom!?" Buttercup was putting on a brave face, but Blossom could hear the uncertainty in her voice. They had expected him to have an easy fight, but even when all three of them had fought him together, they still struggled against him.
And now, it was clear that he had a personal grudge against them. He had mostly wanted to flee from them last time. Now he was motivated to fight against them and what little he had held back was going to be used against them.
"Right…" Blossom replied, doing her best to keep the team's morale.
It was her duty as the leader to make sure the Powerpuff Girls wouldn't falter.
Even if the odds grew ever more stacked against them.
Though the dread and fear that had built up from that rather disturbing moment had completely done a 180 once they focused back on what the Rowdyruff Boys were doing to their room.
Specifically what they were wearing on their heads.
Blossom blushed so brightly that her hair must have looked pale in comparison. Her mouth closed in pure horror and embarrassment at what they were doing. She had expected their room to be shredded and torn to bits, she had made peace with it.
What she wasn't ready for was to see a bunch of dirty stupid villainous boys using their underwear as helmets! She has no idea where those two have been and no amount of laundry would get rid of the stretch marks on them!
The professor was stunned. His face went from red to white in a blur of colors that reminded Blossom of an octopus. And before the girls could react, he fell back from his chair and passed out.
"Professor!" Bubbles cried out, trying to shake their father awake.
"Those… vile… evil…" Blossom was barely holding herself back from cursing. It was hard, but she was holding onto her dignity with pure iron will. Good girls don't curse!
It wasn't the proper way to vent her anger at such a disgusting sight and-
"What are those -dog bark- are those -car honk- doing!?" Buttercup roared in rage as she saw Butch wearing her green panties on top of her head. Normally she would tell the Professor about her using swear words, but she'd let it slide in this case. Blossom could sympathize with her sister's anger. Even if she should be more polite with it.
Buttercup's panties were unusual compared to her sisters. All three of them kept their favorite color on it, but they didn't have anything unusual about them like Buttercup.
Unlike her sisters, Buttercup's panties had a bear etched on it. Surprisingly cute, and when Blossom and Bubbles teased her for it, Buttercup's lame excuse was that a bear is a tough apex predator.
Which was true, but she and Bubbles knew that it was mostly because it was cute.
And their sister did enjoy wearing cute things.
No matter how much she insisted otherwise.
Eventually the scene was interrupted by Boomer and Blast who seemed just as surprised to see their brothers wearing panties. Blast's expression quickly changed from surprise to a mixture of annoyance, embarrassment, and… fear?
That last one was the thing that caught Blossom's attention the most. Did she imagine it? Or… She pushed her anger to the back of her mind and keenly paid attention.
Her instincts were telling her that she might find a weakness.
"Hey you two! We were supposed to destroy this house together!" Boomer complained, while blast merely looked at his brothers with a light blush on his face. Clearly embarrassed about what he was seeing and trying to think of something to say.
'We got bored!" Butch replied, before grabbing Bubbles panty and placing it on Boomer's head. Boomer blinked in surprise at the action while Blast visibly showed his horror for a split second before it completely disappeared.
Something her sisters missed, but Blossom didn't.
"Jerks…" Bubbles growled, still trying in vain to wake their father up while seeing Boomer get comfortable using her underwear as a helmet. Buttercup mumbled more death threats under her breath, while Blossom… she saw the terror on Blast's face.
"You idiots do know girls have cooties right?" There was an edge to Blast's voice that even her sister's picked up. Concern, and pure terror.
"The heck's up with him? Shouldn't he be laughing like the rest of his dumb brothers?" Buttercup pointed out. They watched the conversation play out, and once they saw the Blast's quick and terrified response when Butch forced Buttercup's panties onto his head, Blossom and her sisters couldn't help but outright laugh at the rather ridiculous scene that unfolded.
"First one to catch Blast gets dibs on the console when we get home!"
"I'll kill all of you in your sleep!"
The camera's feedback stopped soon after once the Rowdyruff Boys finished pranking Blast and went back to demolishing their house, but the girls for once didn't care about that.
They were too busy rolling on the ground laughing.
"Hahahaha…! I can't breathe! His face was priceless!" Buttercup clutched her stomach, losing breath from how hard she was laughing.
"Heheheh, if I had known he was that afraid of cooties..!" Bubbles giggled as she made a mocking kissy face before she went back to laughing.
"Pfffthahaha!" Blossom tried to hold it in, but even she couldn't hold her laughter back.
Though they're laughter stopped once they heard the doorbell ring.
"I'll get it! I'll get it!" Bubbles flew over to the front door, and standing in front was a pretty woman. She was shorter than Miss Bellum, but arguably just as pretty and still taller than Miss Keane.
"I'm sorry to be knocking on your doors, but are you lovely young ladies, the Powerpuff Girls?" The woman asked, her voice having a distinct accent to it. It sounded like a British accent. The ones that were incredibly common in spy movies.
Her black hair was short, with a little curl on her forehead. She wore a tight blue uniform, with a symbol on it. Blossom didn't know why she had the planet earth etched into her shoulder, but she looked like someone important.
Buttercup flew up in front of the lady, giving her a glare.
"And what's it to you Lady?" Buttercup bluntly asked. Blossom sighed at her sister's typical lack of tact or friendliness, before flying close to the woman.
"Yes, we're the Powerpuff Girls! That being said, who are you Miss…?"
"You three can just call me Agent Honeydew. I'm an Agent working for the Global Security, and my superiors have asked me, Monkey, and the Justice Friends to assist you three in taking back Townsville."
Blossom raised an eyebrow, not sure if she should trust this strange woman. The last a seemingly friendly woman, it turned out to be Sedusa. A criminal who specialized in stealing and making men into fools. And to add more suspicion, the last time a new hero come into their town, he was Major Man.
Who turned out to be a fraud who planned crimes out so he could foil them himself without hurting himself.
"Monkey? He's not like Mojo Jojo is he?" Bubbles asked. Agent Honeydew chuckled, seemingly amused by her question.
"No, he's a very good monkey. A perfect gentleman if I do say so myself."
"I'll believe it when I see it." Buttercup scoffed, arms crossed over her chest. "The only good monkeys are the ones who stay in the Zoo. And even then what could he do to help?"
"I can call him right now if you want? You can see for yourself." Agent Honeydew seemed pretty confident in her friend, and while Blossom preferred to keep outsiders at arms length, they needed all the help they could get.
"Sure. But can you wait for the professor to wake up first? He's had a stressful day."
Miss Honeydew nodded, and held out her hand to shake Blossom's hand.
And for once, the leader of the Powerpuff Girls felt that the odds were in their favor again.Last edited: Jun 7, 2025 Like Quote ReplyReport Reactions:sicksock, Ruffleflufflebakedpotato, Gusaber and
