I heard a loud noise that woke me up again, it's him wanting to speak to me once more.
"You know you don't always have to make loud noises and wake me up." I said as I yawned.
It was definitely early in the morning, but that was my guess as I couldn't see. I'm tired, but I'll get used to this for a while even if I don't like it.
"What have you done this time! I can't believe it, you really planned this haven't you?" He asked me.
"What do you mean what have I done? I'm as confused as you are?" I was being genuine.
I've been in prison for almost a year or so, there's no way I could of done something. Maybe he has gone mad, and is accusing me of things I can't do.
"Did the people find out my arrest was unjustified." I said trying to tease him a bit as he is the only person who talks to me.
He became silent for a bit. "Hey! Don't ignore me, you're the only person who visits me." I said.
Is he going to ignore me as a way to show more punishment? That can't be as he definitely has more to say.
"You are definitely involved with this, a lot of people aren't happy." He said angerly.
"Well I have no idea what you're talking about since I've been here all the time. I can't just leave this place, and commit whatever you said I did." I said genuinely.
"Yeah as if, I grew to be suspicious of you since that day you got caught trespassing for the second time. I can't just let you be alone, you are clearly capable of doing things easily."
"Well whatever, this problem that's against you, and the government. I would recommend you to be honest, that's all alright." I said.
"There is a man named Gabriel who is going around placing propaganda around the district. The posters are about why you actually did the crime, and that there was proof."
Gabriel! So he decided to do this instead, I'm glad he is my friend. To think this worked probably better than my plan is amazing.
"The propaganda contains letters, and in detailed explanations on why your project shouldn't have gotten cancelled."
"Yeah…so what does that have to do with me?" I said trying not to smile at what Gabriel has done.
"Oh I don't know, maybe because it has things only you, and a few others know. I know how the others behave, they won't risk this sort of thing. You're the only person who I can think of, and I'm right and you know it." He said.
I couldn't hold it in and I smiled widely. "It's a blessing to have a friend who is willing to back you up. Someone like you would never understand that."
"Yeah so you admit you send him private information. Information that can land you in more serious trouble then."
Well I didn't think about that for a moment, I guess they can leave me here even if my other arrest was unjustified.
"I am innocent and haven't done anything like that at all. You have all been searching me yet have found nothing so it's false." I said defending myself.
"As if I can trust you at all, your6 just a scummy outsider. I know you were poor so you don't understand anything."
The only person who I can see myself lying to without remorse is G.O and no one else. He is a jerk and I'm fine with him hating me.
"If you don't confess I'll force you to, and don't you think I'm kidding." He said but even if he did try I'll just endure it.
If I tell him the truth my friend will get into serious trouble. Maybe he already is, but this will definitely make it worse.
Before I knew what was happening I heard my cell door opening. I then heard more footsteps approaching, and my shackles being opened.
I was then carried and brought somewhere, as I was then sat on a chair my blindfold was taken off. I was able to see again and…ow! My eyes hurt from the light.
It was a dim room, but that light was hurting me. I squinted as I haven't seen light in a long time.
"So is this the torture room? Am I being tortured now?" I asked.
"No what the hell is wrong with you, and torturing, is this some form of sick fantasy of yours?" I saw him once's again.
"It's that you're not the type of guy one will hang around in a close proximity. I'm just being wary that's all, not trying to be too safe."
"Well you're the luckiest guy I know because I was called by the governor. He told us to free you as he doesn't want any trouble. I can't believe it, if I was in his position I would of let you die in that cell."
"Oh well it's so lovely to know that someone here really cares about me." I was sarcastic which he didn't like at all.
"Your notes and letters contained a bunch of information that proved that you were only trespassing. Every crime we charged you with was erased as we didn't want the people to get angry that we added false crimes to you."
"Well I told you that you shouldn't lie at all, now that I'm a free man. I want to just go to my room, and sleep on a proper bed."
"I do hate you Ceborati, and I hope you never amount to anything. We are in a corner, and the governor requested one thing from you."
I was a bit nervous as I didn't know what they wanted from me now. Everything that has happend has caused them trouble, and it all links to me.
"Ceborati, we want you to stay silent about your time in here. We don't want you to tell them how we treated you or anything related to it."
"Alright then, I'll do it since I have no other option now. I'm going to willingly follow that request because for the first time you did the right thing."
"Just shut your mouth Ceborati, I'm not going to ask again." G.O said.
"Fine I will, I was joking with you that's all. I can't believe you think I was being serious, I don't want to get in trouble again."
"Well that's great as you're fired…don't give me that look I'm not the one who said it. It was the governor who requested this and your to troublesome to keep."
"Fine I guess that's how it goes, well as long as I'm a free man." I said glooming.
As I began to leave two more people began to walk next to me. They must have been the ones who carried me here.
I thought they must have left when we had this talk, but I guess I wasn't alone. When we made it to the outside of the prison I was then shoved down.
That's rude but I don't want to argue. I stood up, and began to stretch my arms and legs. As I expected, they are weak and irritated.
He did look much more hairy than the last time I saw him. Did he even take care of himself at all during this year of darkness?
...
I was sitting down on a bench feeling a bit tired after staying up late at night. I hope my dear friend Adam is alright.
That poster that was right there last night is missing. I couldn't help but smile as I didn't remove it, but it mushy have been someone else.
I can see an officer walking around trying to take down the posters I made. Adam will get his justice sooner or later as I expect.
"I hope this is working because I have to return back in a few days. I don't think my father is to happy to see me leaving every few months to do this." I said as I was eating.
I then heard it, his voice which I could never forget. I turned, and there he was walking up to me with a smile.
I stood up and gave him a quick hug. "Adam, you look very weak, what happened to you?" I asked him.
"Oh I'm not really supposed to talk about it, it's just prison stuff." Adam said as we both laughed a bit.
"I was going to ask if you had a hard time, but I guess I already have my answer." To think that although he is much more skinnier, he still has the same smile.
"Well I'm sorry to say this Gabriel, but I have to leave for ever." Adam told me.
I was shocked because this was not something he would say. "Why? Is it because of the trouble that you got into?"
"It's just the conditions I accepted for my freedom. I'm not support to speak about it, but you deserve to know." He said.
"What conditions Adam? Tell me more about it." I asked, why are things going terribly for Adam?
"Listen, I've written down some things that will explain everything…just have it and read it, I have to go." He said as he handed me a few of letters.
"Listen Gabriel, I have more left on my room. Take them all Gabriel I wrote down my experience, everything that I remember. I want you to keep them to remember me, you're the only person who I want to remember me."
"Don't worry Adam, I'll forever remember you as a great man. I'll tell your story to others, and I won't let you be forgoten." I said.
And just like that, it was the final conversation we had. He handed me his keys, and told me he was moving west. He told me he would try to fit in as a new man. To help out others without a name, and not disturb others.
Adam left without a trace, and no one had heard about him ever since. He never send me any letters or anything. Adam, I wish I could speak with you again, but sometimes the world doesn't always work in our favor.
I'll write down everything I remember about him, I'll make sure that nothing about him will be forgotten. This story will be named after him, and I'll make sure to never write my name in it.
I won't use my name as I don't deserve to be recognized as much as he does. I'll try to fit in all the letters into this, and I'll try to fill in the gaps.
Adam if you could hear me I would like to say, "Thank you for trying your best." He sure was naive, but he had the right ideas. To bad the world isn't to kind to those men, and no one will care in a few years.

Back inside Ethneal the old lady finishes telling Ashly the story. Ashly was so invested into the story she forgot how much time she wasted.
"Wait! That's the entire story? What about the in between scenes. Why was it incomplete, and why did it feel like you did tell me the full story?" Ashly asked.
"Well you see young lady, the story was written down, but sadly it was lost. The man who was his friend told the story by mouth as he was already old." The old lady said.
"All the letters he had were gone, some of them were damaged. To say that he was distraught was an understatement, it was passed down as folktale. The story I told you is the most accurate story out of them all. Although it's sad that most people didn't remember most parts, and they just didn't trust the story."
"That still doesn't make it better, that story was way too short, and why have they forgotten? If this was a celebration of him then why can't anyone remember?" Ashly asked.
"This wasn't a short story as you can see, it's already the afternoon. The only thing that's sad about this is that my old age is making me forget." The old lady said.
"Well that story was interesting to say the least. What a way to kill of time, but it was kinda nice." Ashly said.
"Why don't you smile more dear? Someone as pretty as you should always smile." The old lady said.
"Yeah sorry currently I can't, I'm in a bad situation right now. It had to do with a friend, and I caused it, I don't think he will fully forgive me." Ashly said.
"Don't worry dear, it's important to cherish your friendships. You should be honest, and try to fix this problem together. It's better to be honest, and attempt as you want to show him that you're trying to be genuine." The old lady says with a smile.
