We were sitting in a quiet café far from the city, the kind of place where no one knew our names, and the coffee tasted like secrets. But honestly? I couldn't focus on anything but Scarlett.

Julia rolled her eyes, arms crossed. "Yeah, well… you let me down. Repeatedly. I'm not here to rekindle our friendship—I'm here to take down our common enemy."
Scarlett didn't even flinch. She just smirked, sliding back beside me. "Whatever. What matters is—you're here."
Julia turned to me next. "So. You knew she was Scarlett all along?"
I nodded. "Since the first day. I didn't say anything because I needed to understand what she was doing. And then… I fell in love. And when I saw what Sharon and Liam were planning after Lana fell—I knew I had to choose."
She gave me a knowing look. "Well… at least she found someone who truly loves her."
I smiled. "So babe," I turned to Scarlett, "why are we really here?"
Scarlett leaned forward. "Remember Madeleine?"
Julia scoffed. "The secretary? We already closed that chapter."
Scarlett's eyes glinted. "No. She came back. Last night."
Julia blinked. "Wait—how do you know that?"
"I paid her landlord," Scarlett said casually. "Told him to call me if she ever returned."
Julia's voice went sharp. "So she just disappeared with our hush money and now she's back? What the hell is she planning—?"

I raised my hands. "Okay, hold up. Who the hell is Madeleine?"
Scarlett turned to me, calmly. "She used to be Sharon and Liam's secretary. Before me."
My mouth dropped. "You two… paid off a secretary to leave her job? That's insane."
Julia chuckled darkly. "We didn't pay her to leave, because of the job only !."
I stared at them. "Then what else ?"
Scarlett leaned in, whispering something in my ear.
