Chapter 31 - The Weight of Power

It was a weird conclusion, but it was one that truly resonated with him. He knew one thing and one thing only from the countless fantasy books that he had read in all his Earth life.

It was that the strong do not need justification for their actions. It was something he was going to live by in this fantasy world that he had been dragged into.

"I never called myself righteous. You are the one that assumed that I am righteous.

I am simply living my new life without much worry and concern. On a bad day I would have ignored the slaves and ran for my life, but I couldn't just overlook abuse on them younglings." Tim said, as his psychotic look gradually faded and returned to a serious one.

"You know, you can always join me. It does not have to end like this.

I see great talent and potential in you. If you join my crew, then I can assure you that your ascension to power would be accelerated.

Kid listen, you have to believe my words." Taz said, in a way that would make any lost kid find solace in his words.

This mini speech that he gave Tim really shocked him. Was this really the leader that was spewing stuff about him not being righteous.

How quick was he to change his tone, and the more amazing thing was that the leader was not scared of Tim even with the death of 4 of his gang members.

'I should also be fluid like this man. He was quick to adapt and change his tone based on the situation, I should live by that mantra. Flexibility and Adaptability.' Tim thought as he looked at Taz that was waiting to hear a positive feedback from Tim.

"The only partnership that would work between you and I is the partnership of undead summon and necromancer master.

I do not negotiate with dead men." Tim said in the rudest way possible.

The manner in which Tim responded to Taz made his blood boil intensely. He was a business man and he always strived to make the best of every situation, hence his decision to try to make Tim join his side.

He seriously saw great potential in Tim, but his current actions made him want to regret ever giving Tim the slightest possibility of working together with him.

With visible anger in his face, he dashed toward Tim. He was not much of a close range fighter but Tim was already known for his ability to evade attacks, so the best way to always land or even scratch a skillful evader like Tim was to get closer to him.

Tim immediately understood his plan immediately Taz dashed towards him, but he was not too bothered.

He had levelled up and gained some substantial power to be able to hold his own a little and even flee from the scene in the case that his life was in danger.

"Flame Sword! Flame Wheel" Taz yelled coupled with some strange hand symbols which Tim clearly caught sight of.

As the name of the skilled suggested a long flaming sword emanated from Taz's hands and 5 flame bolts also appeared around him.

This appearance seemed more like a game boss character to Tim than an actual threat. Drunk on his evasiveness, he was not that scared of the flaming danger that was headed his way.

SWOOSH

Taz swung his 4 feet flaming sword as he was about 8 meters away from Tim.

And just as Tim expected the swung sword to behave, a huge horizontal wave of flame emanated from the sword and propelled towards Tim at a frightening rate.

Seeing the approaching attack that was coming his way Tim decided to evade in the easiest way possible, which was to jump over the horizontal attack.

But as he jumped over the attack, the wheel of fire bolts that was circulating around Taz i9mmediately shot out towards Tim while he was still in the air.

Tim did not even think such an attack was possible, he was already in the air and he had no solid footing to change his direction, so he did the only possible which was to curl himself up into the shape of a ball.

BOOM BOOM BOOM

Three catastrophic fire bolts struck Tim consecutively, which sent the virgin elf crashing against multitudes of trees.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOOM

A long trail of destruction followed his flying path.

This was the most damage that he had received ever since he was transmigrated into the Fantasiaa world.

At the bottom of a crater laid Tim that was silenced by the sheer destructiveness of a skill.

His skin charred, his bones broken and his body in serious pain, yet he smiled.

He smiled because of his stupid-ness. He couldn't really blame himself though. He had just achieved boosted stats, and he was drunk on his newly gained speed.

To put it in perspective just some days ago he was a regular human on an uneventful planet, going about his day boringly, only getting a real rush of adrenaline from the fantasy books he read and watched.

But now, he was practically in the fantasy books he read. He was no longer the observer, he was now the main actor, the executioner.

How could he not want to be drunk on his newfound power.

But that state of drunkenness, was what put him in his current predicament. He was defenseless and hurt. Lying in his very own pool of blood waiting for his judgement.

Taz walked towards Tim at a slow rate. Now he looked like a real final boss that could not be looked down on.

With his oscillating wheel of flame bolts that surrounded him and his flaming sword, he looked like death himself.

"I gave you the option to escape, but you chose your own doom. I gave you the option for partnership, but your ego got the better of you.

Now I put an end to that little life of yours." Taz said, as cold as possible.
