Chapter 24 - After Class… *

Caius had expected to hate Alchemy and maybe spend the entire class ogling Arlette like everyone else, but it was actually not that bad. It was chemistry if chemistry was magic, i.e., if it would make no sense to anyone except a mage and a native of this world.

When Arlette talked about the extraction of Moonroot and Darthsbane and how, depending on the composition it could be used to make an energy supplement or a poison, it actually made sense to him.

As class continued, he found himself paying more attention to Arlette's teachings than her breasts. A crazy notion.

Even more crazy was, when Caius looked round the class, he realized it wasn't an isolated thing. The boys who had been ogling now leaned back in their seats, their expressions confused as they tried to come to terms with the complexities Arlette was rambling on and on about.

"Next class, we'll see how well you fare at extraction. Read up on Angelwood, Mandrake root, and Grande-Blac before then.

Good day."

And with that, after hours of lecture, Alchemy Class was over. As she opened the portal on the wall back to her office, Arlette afforded Caius one last look with a brow raised expectantly.

Caius watched the portal close behind her and got up to head to her office for a bloodsucking session sprinkled with some Dark magic lessons.

"Thank you, Caius," Doran said in appreciation of Caius supplying him sentences he had missed during Arlette's dictation because he had been lost in a trance of their sexy Professor.

"You're welcome," Caius said with an easy smile, "Just try to pay better attention next time."

Doran flushed,

"I'll try," he said he said in an even voice and with the first smile Caius had seen on him that wasn't a nervous one. It actually looked genuine.

And then Baler Khione arrived and wrapped an arm around his neck to pull him along,

"Come on, Peasant," Baler said, "Who'll carry my tray at the Cafeteria if you just stand here talking?"

"Haha—" Doran let out in a nervous laugh as that one genuine smile returned to the default and he looked down and seemed to shrink in size.

Caius frowned.

Baler Khione. The reason Doran Langston eventually went mad and went on to slaughter hundreds of thousands. He was also the first real victim of that madness.

Without acknowledging Caius, Baler dragged Doran away while the boy tried to call out a goodbye. Aurelius walked past next smiling at Caius only to stop short when Caius didn't smile back and just frowned at him. Confused, Aurelius walked away.

In [To Kill a Demon Lord…], Aurelius was an insightful main character with senses refined by his past life serving as a Goddess' right hand, and yet he was very dense in matters very close to him.

For all the years at Lochxen, he ignored the terrible bully/bullied dynamic between his two 'friends' Baler and Doran, and ignored them entirely out of school. Everything that happened was his fault and he had the gall to be in tears when he had to kill Doran himself to put an end to his madness. Claiming it hurt him to lose his two best friends.

'Hypocrite!' Was what Caius—as Kevin—called him while he read the story. It contributed to why Aurelius had never been his favorite character.

"Caius. Are you alright?" Kaya asked and her voice made Caius realize he had been staring at the back of Aurelius' head for a full minute totally lost in thought.

He looked into Kaya's beautiful face and found it easy to smile,

"I'm fine," he told her.

She studied his face but saw no sign of the expression from before so she dropped it and smiled back,

"So… Break?" She asked.

Caius paused with his eyes on Kaya's pretty face and then he smiled,

"Of course."

Eloise joined them, the class had cleared out and the three were the last to leave. But right after Eloise walked out the doorway ahead of them, Caius grabbed the double doors and pulled them close keeping him and Kaya alone in the classroom and keeping Eloise out of it.

"Hey!" Eloise yelled out in surprise.

"Go on ahead!" Caius yelled back at her through the closed doors, "We'll catch up."

Eloise must have heard him and after a few seconds of waiting for the door to reopen—and it didn't—, she grumbled and walked away slowly. Wondering what the two were doing behind closed doors.

Meanwhile, Kaya paused and took one step back while Caius was talking to Eloise through the closed doors, and then, when he turned around to face her, she couldn't help but match his smile.

"What's this?" She asked slowly.

"I thought we could do with some time alone," Caius told her gently.

"Ah," Kaya answered and lightly bit her lower lip as her heart beat hard in her chest, "And what will we do with this time alone? Chat?

Caius took a step away from the closed doors as he shrugged,

"We could..." he said before adding suggestively, "Eventually."

His hand had stretched out now and was gently holding her arm. He trailed down until he was holding her hand and with a light pull, he drew her closer. Kaya didn't resist and her heart beat even faster as one of Caius' arms wrapped around her waist and his face was now a few inches from her own.

"Are you sure?" Kaya asked and her breath caught as she gestured to the classroom, "Here?"

"No worse than the Combat Magic classroom, right?" Caius said as he leaned his face closer and Kaya flushed red remembering she had been the one to lead him there yesterday with the intentions of a duel that soon led elsewhere.

Caius continued,

"Besides, the worst that can happen is we get caught."

He said it so easily like it wasn't a big deal and yet, despite knowing that it definitely was a big deal, Kaya found herself agreeing. Her head was getting swirled with a euphoric sensation that the threat of being caught only excited her more.

Caius pressed his lips to her neck and then made his way up to her earlobe causing her breath to catch as her chest rose and fell repeatedly while her entire body became charged.

"Yes…" she said slowly and breathlessly, "You're right."

And it was then Caius seized her lips in a passionate kiss and turned her around to press her back gently against the wall while he pressed his against her. Kaya's hands went to his waist and took a tight grip of his uniform, pulling him harder against herself while every inhibition about how they shouldn't be doing any of this in a classroom melted away from her mind.

Her heart beat even faster and her blood began getting charged and its scent was getting more and more powerful. Just having his nose and his face so close to Kaya's skin and feeling the blood rushing through her was making it hard to resist but he held on. He was seeing an opportunity but he needed to pick his moment.

Resisting the urge to feed by leaning more on his more sexual desires, Caius undid the top buttons of Kaya's shirt, revealing the cleavage of her supple breasts. Like she was mirroring his actions, Kaya undid buttons on Caius' shirt as well and let her hand roam all over his skin.

Again, there was a spike in the half-elf's arousal but again, Caius resisted. He wasn't where he wanted to be yet and he everything about the plan that was unfolding in his head had to be perfect or it could all fall apart.

He pulled Jaya away from the door and turned her around so her round perfect ass was resting against his growing bulge and the contact made Kaya groan out loud and raise her face as Caius' hand creeped up the side of her neck, holding it in place while he pressed his nose against the other side, taking long whiffs of her skin and, of course, her blood.

At the same time, Caius undid one more button revealing her underwear-covered breasts. Kaya noted, in some part of her delirious mind that she was facing an unlocked door… That anyone could pull it open and see her tits. Somehow that only excited her more.

'Am I more perverted than I thought?' She wondered to herself before letting out a moan.

"Mmmm…"

Her moan got even deeper and drawn out when Caius' hands slipped under her bra to grab and fondle her breasts.

A smile spread across her lips. It had only happened yesterday but the feeling of his hands on her breasts was familiar.

The fondling went on for a few more minutes with Kaya's breath catching a good few times as she rocked against Caius's body and then, suddenly he stopped.

"Ngh," Caius let out in a frustrated almost pained groan as he released Kaya's body and stepped away from her.

Kaya, blinking in confusion and worry turned around and saw Caius doubled over.

"Caius?" She called out in concern.

"I'm sorry…" Caius let out in what sounded like genuine regret,

"I'm so sorry. I can't do it."

'Do what?' Kaya was about to ask when Caius raised his head with his mouth open and she saw his canines had grown longer and were glinting with sharpness beyond 'normal teeth'.
