Mr. Hartman sat on the balcony of his room, overlooking a garden on his estate. This garden had been built by his wife many years ago. Although some of the flowers had to be replanted, everything still look the same as when she made it all that time ago.
He could remember how beautiful she looked on their wedding day even now clearest day. She was truly the love of his life. When she had cheated on him, it had broke his heart into pieces, but he was still willing to find a way to move forward with her. Then she Was taken away from him before either of them had a chance to make their own decision about the matter.
It was like that awful day was just yesterday. He had just gotten home from His office and had called out for her. She was usually waiting for him in the living room, but that day she wasn't there. In fact, she wasn't anywhere in the mansion, but what was there was evidence of a struggle.
He had called the police right away, but they weren't able to find her. There was nothing on the surveillance cameras either. as time went by, there was no clues of where she was for the longest.
By the time they had finally managed to track them down they had already disappeared. He couldn't count how many sleepless nights he had because of this.
It wasn't just him that was affected either. He can remember his sons, crying themselves to sleep, missing their mother and their sister that they never even got to meet.
He was heartbroken and ever since she left, he had never even looked at another woman. Despite the fact that she hadn't remained faithful to him, he had always remain faithful to her. For him, she was his one and only love in this life.
He could never imagine life with another, but because of her and her lover, he not only had to imagine life without her he had to live with life without her.
After gazing at the garden for a while, he got up and walked out of his room. he headed down the hallway and towards his daughter's bedroom.
He stood outside of it for a while, just staring at the door. He couldn't even count the number of times he had come here on those nights where he couldn't sleep. Each time he could never bring himself to enter the room.
He and his sons had designed this room, updating it throughout the years, but after they nearly found her in Georgia, they had stopped updating it. They also had rooms and all their other properties that they had designed specifically for her, and each of them had stopped being updated After the close call. He thought about how they would need to update all the rooms now.
After getting enough courage, he knocked on the door. After a moment here a , "Come on in." coming from the bedroom. he chuckled at that response and then opened the door.
