Chapter 12 - Figth

Attack power.

In every system type series, this is a core factor, where some main characters make them unique, some MCs have 9999 or negative values, overpowered throughout the series.

But in this world, attack power isn't simply the digit on them but shown in one's status, like this [ 16-24 ].

Telling one's weakest attack power to its highest, and in this world, magic items that can increase one attack power stat even by a point are highly valuable, so people would fight for them.

It was said a beggar once obtained a gloves that increased one attack power by 62 points in total, and by these gloves alone, nobles, adventurers, and many more powerful figures around the globe rushed towards him to buy this item.

By the end of the bidding war for the item, the beggar went from having no coins on him, to having over 19,353 gold coins.

This might sound like an exaggeration, but it's understandable for this world, since leveling up does not always increase one attack stat at all.

Your attack stat only increased at these levels: level 2, 10, 25, 50, 100.

So from the very beginning of your life, one needs to pray for a good attack power when one reaches levels 2 and 10.

So, how about the heroes who have been summoned and sent by the Gods in this world? How about their attack power?

Unlike the natives of this world, those who have the title [ Hero ] [ Otherworlder ] and [ Summon one ] can increase their attack power per level by one.

And the seven Heroes who have all three titles can increase their attack power by three points per level up.

"Their strength is going well, but this isn't enough," Clark thought as they moved to another area after the heroes won the battle they had.

Sensing monsters around level 15-19 in the next area, Clark began to think of a way to increase the heroes' battle experience, but this time alone.

Although being together with everyone as they grow stronger and gain experience is good enough for him, since they are not the heroes of the Goddess he's following, he didn't want them to be useless when they are on their own.

He wanted each hero to have the strength to fight on their own, even if it meant not winning in the end. With this on his head, he summoned his status, but only to him, invisible to the others.

As they go through a tunnel that connects the dome areas where the monster resides, Clark warns everyone that the dungeon can sometimes shift its structure, which can separate people from their teams.

Hearing this the seven exchanged glances and decided not to rush over in the tunnel they are in.

They carefully traverse the area, making sure that they are not separated, and in the end, everyone safely enters the next dome area.

As they entered the new area.

Nagi started to look up, to see the cave paintings on the wall.

Mio looks at him and questions why he keeps doing this to the other two areas they have entered before.

Walking towards him she asked:

"Why do you keep looking up, when we enter a new area?"

"Oh, that's nothing," he said in a playful tone.

Mio simply stared at him without stopping, making him confess the truth.

He sighed before answering.

"Remember the paintings around us, when we were falling before?"

She nodded.

"Then looked up," he ordered her.

Looking up, she saw a painting of a spider and a pill bug.

He simply looked at her with a smug face.

She understood what he was doing now, each area they had entered before had a drawing of the one they had seen before, and what was drawn in the dome was what they had to face.

*****

Everyone split up within the dome after not finding any monsters for half an hour.

Looking around him, Nagi couldn't find a single spider or pill bug, although he had seen multiple cobwebs around him, he didn't see the one who made them.

Calling out to everyone else, whether they found something, only for them to answer 'No'.

Putting his fingers between his eyes, he wondered if the place was just a glitch area where monsters don't spawn.

Opening his eyes, he found on the corner of his sight a weirdly straight line, bending down to clear the dirt and leaves around it.

And suddenly.

It opened a perfect square trapdoor around him, along with the screaming of the others following.

The trapdoor led him to a spiral slide that went on for several spins, confusing him, and finally he found himself inside a square room with a door on the other side with a monster on it.

Separated, alone, with no clue on what happened and with only a dagger on his side, he wondered not about the safety of everyone but how many rooms he needed to clear to be with them.

At the same time, in the same area they have been before. Clark sat on the side and watched where the heroes were, with a title on top of the screen:[ Dungeon master ]

"Now then, can you all clear all seven rooms, with monsters around level 15-19"

•••••

Yuki looked around the room he was in, carefully looking for a way out, but didn't find anything at all.

Left with no choice, he looked over to the door, walking toward it, he wondered what monster it would be.

Entering the room he found a spider inside it, without wasting any time he said: [ Appraisal ]

[ Giant spider ]

Level: 17

Skills: Web Spit, Poison Spit.

Tendency: Jumping on the sides and top, after using a skill on its target. Eat their prey alive till they die.

Highest stats: Agility: 23 and Dexterity: 28

[ Size: 1 meter ]

Suddenly, the spider spat at him. Just as Yuki dodged, he lost his balance and fell.

When he saw the ground begin to smoke, he flinched and quickly jumped to the side, narrowly avoiding an attack from above.

"Give me a moment to breathe, will you?" he thought, reaching for the dagger at his side.

He pointed it toward the spider in front of him and leaped onto its head like a frog.

With a swift motion, he drove the tip of the blade into the spider's head and pressed down hard, killing it in a single blow.

The spider twitched once- then fell still.
