Chapter 31: The Real Lord (3)
The viscount’s frustration reached its peak, but instead of pulling out his beard, he decided to resort giving ridiculous demands to Amoretta instead.
“If you can’t give me youth itself, then you must be my woman.”
“You have to tell me exactly what you mean if you want me to make something like that. A person born forty-something years ago is just forty-something years old. What do you mean when you say you want youth itself and not just its appearance?”
“I want a pure heart! Defiant energy! Endless vitality! I feel none of these now!”
Ironically, the viscount was throwing a tantrum like a child, but it was just unnatural and even gross because it didn’t suit his age. However, there was no use fighting with him about what he meant anymore. Amoretta knew that well since she had been held captive over the last few months.
“It’s impossible to alter a person’s true nature,” she said, practically fulfilling the viscount’s desires.
