As seasons passed, the old were replaced by the new, like a clockwork the enthusiastic pirates set sail to the grand line only for them to be devoured by the sea.
As Deller and his two companions continued to train, they often reached the brick wall that is potential, as such every time they realized that their growth had significantly slowed they embarked on trips to the deep forest. For every time they went there, they were scolded by their parents, as for their monstrous growth, it was monstrous, yes, but only for their age.
No matter how much hard work they put in, the age difference between them and adults is an issue that can't be closed just by hard work.
Though they had yet to experience it.
As the young trio continued their lives, nothing could get wrong, but something bad was going to happen even though the inhabitants of the island had not yet realized it.
It had already been over 3 years. when the young trio had first gone to the deep forest.
They had just returned from the deep forest once again.
"Whoo that doesnt even feel like a challenge anymore." Ruth arrogantly stated.
"If it's not a challenge anymore. I guess you can fight against those beasts head on one versus one." Guret dryly replied.
"Why do you always have to ruin my mood, Guret?" Ruth annoyed questioned.
"It's because Eller wont, so somebody has to make sure you acknowledge reality." Guret replied without any hesitation.
While the two bickered, Eller was in his own thoughts. "The trips to the forest have had less and less effect on increasing potential. I guess we will have to start fighting them head on from now on. Hmm i think Garp threw Luffy to fight in the jungle at some point in time during his childhood, it seems that we are going down a similar route."
Unlike before when their trips to the deep forest was simply about surviving, they have now grown stronger and adapted to taking down beasts with trickery, it's starting to reflect on their panels, they have gained less and less potential with each trip to the forest.
So Eller now has the idea to have head on fights with the beasts in the forest, even if those fights are the three of them against one beast.
Because before they had simply lure the beasts to advantageous positions for them they had managed to beat many beasts with that method, though there were many close cases. But they can no longer gain potential with this method, so they will simply take a more dangerous route for gaining more potential.
Currently the three were going back to the village, and Eller was checking their statuses.

"Hmm how convenient it would be to gain an ability to measure the strength of people. After all the estimated potential can't really be trusted, since even if two people have estimated potential of blue, there can be a huge difference in abilities, one can be a rear admiral, while the other can be some grunt, in this example the rear admiral has been in many life and death fights and has increased his potential multiple times, while the other has just trained his whole life, this is also the reason why fulfilled potential cant be used to determine strength, it just shows how much you can currently grow.
Estimated potential has almost no correlation to strength in a certain range, and that is because it only shows the speed of one's growth, though those with higher potential can gain more from the same fights compared to those whose estimated potential is lower.
This gap can still simply be bridged by more fights."
As Eller was drooling at being able to measure people's strength.
They saw the village, but to their horror, they only saw a burning village.
As they saw this they started to run toward the village.
But before they reached the village, they met someone on the outskirts.
They was a rugged middle aged man with a brown beard and hair.
But the worst part of it was that he had a sword with him.
Though the three were not defenceless, their equipment was not on the same level. Their scrap metal swords and bats were something that the village's smith had promised to make them if they could gather enough materials.
Even if they fought it would be uncertain how many hits they could take before breaking.
As the three were analyzing. "Grahaha there are some brats playing some heroes here. Let me show you brats, what the real world is like!"
As he threatened them the trio with just a glance at each other, knew what they would do.
Ruth and Guret went to the sides of the pirate, while Eller rushed at him from the front.
Like expected it didn't take long for the pirate to send Eller flying, at the same time he was in quite the rush because two swords were swinging at him from both sides.
While he used his sword to block Ruth's blow, he used his left arm to grab Guret's sword.
While Guret lost his sword, the pirate was not unharmed, the sword had cut his palm open and hit the bone.
Though this was only due to their sudden sneak attack on him.
"Damn if we had better weapons that blow would have cut off his arm." Guret cursed.
"You damn brats, i'll gut you like fishes!" The enraged pirate threatened.
While Guret had lost his sword he quickly grabbed stones and debris around them and threw them toward the pirate to distract him.
While Ruth and Eller were fighting him, there was a problem. They are currently at an advantage because of the wound Guret had given the pirate, but the problem was that other pirates might show up to gang up on them.
As the two sides were in mortal combat, and were in a stalemate, it quickly became evident that this stalemate, actually drained all of their stamina at a similar rate, while the three were ganging up on the injured pirate they were still too young, while the injured pirate had years of experience on the sea and had built up great amount of stamina.
What worried the trio even more was that with time it became increasingly more likely that more pirates would come to join the injured pirate in their fight.
The trio looked at eachother and took a risk. While Guret started to throw the stones and debris with increasing force and speed costing him massive stamina, Ruth rushed toward the pirate with his makeshift sword.
The unprepared pirate had a cut made on his right shoulder, while he managed to fling Ruth away, Eller came rushing with killing intent on his eyes, when the pirate noticed he had managed to randomly swing the sword toward Eller.
While the sword swing was not perfect, it was still in a trajectory with Ellers throat.
But something miraculous happened to Eller, he felt like he could see the sword's trajectory and dodge it.
So he managed to do it with just a minor slice of the sword on his throat.
And with all his strength he bashed the bat at the pirates shoulder, completely mangling it.
While exhausted by the ordinal Guret quickly rushed to take the pirates sword, and swung it toward his neck, killing him.
While they were trembling from exhaustion, Eller thought he heard a sound, but lucidity quickly took hold of them and they took to the edge of the village to see if everybody had been killed.
But to their surprise Ruth's mother Kaitha was swinging a massive naginata around her killing many pirates.
But what shocked Eller more was his mother, who just swung her sword killing pirate after pirate, while they watched the ordeal, they quickly realized that Diana was fighting against the captain of the pirate crew, he had red claws. While the pirate captain was enduring Diana's beating with his claws, he ordered the rest of the pirates to quickly help the vice-captain in killing the other woman, and quickly come help him.
While they watched Eller was watching the fights with intent on copying their fighting style, but to his surprise panels quickly opened in front of him.
