It has been a week, and the crown prince has since returned to the castle from what I have heard. I have not seen him yet, THANK THE GODDESS. I have been spending my days mainly reading novels and relaxing while occasionally healing castle staff as they needed it. I am currently laying in my bed reading a book and I hear tapping on the window. I look over and see Sky. I jump up and open the window, "I am so happy to see you, Sky. Is Lysara here?" He says frantically, "Yes, and she is furious and starving. You might want to go collect her before she makes a terrible scene. Kenji is currently with her, so just go to him and you will find her." I pet his feathers a bit, "I will do just that."
I think going outside will be the quickest since I feel them down. May isn't in the room right now, thank the goddess. I haven't told her about the vampire bit of my journey. I told her everything else though. I look out the balcony and check to see if the coast is clear and I don't see anyone so I hop down and then run (at a fast human pace so as to not raise suspicion) to where I sense Kenji. My eyes are burning right now, and it is hard to keep them open, and I feel the weight of the sun bearing down on me with immense pressure. Lysara and Kenji (in his original form) are currently surrounded by guards who are trying to tell them to follow. While also shivering in fear because of Kenji. I don't think they were given the exact orders because there seems to be a miscommunication because Lysara is just yelling, "Take me to Ari, now!" While manhandling the knights.
I run over and yell, glad to see that beautiful face of hers, "Lysara! I am right here!" She stopped fighting and looked to find my voice. She yelled, "Ari!" She ran to me and kissed me passionately, pulling in some phantom's kiss immediately, and I moaned. Kenji turns small and comes to my side and rubs against me. I say, "I missed you so much." The knights leave, and I escort Lysara, Leo, and Kenji to my room while holding Lysara's hand tightly.
We ran into Ricky in the hallway, and I asked him if he could send word to Father Xavier that my companions had arrived, and he said, "Certainly, Miss Ari. I will have him summoned immediately and escorted to your suite." I replied, "That is fantastic. Thank you so much." I say with a smile, feeling on top of the world now that Lysara is here, and we head to my room. Once inside, I give everyone the summary of what happened to me while we were apart and how now I am gearless. Leo says confidently, "I can steal your stuff back for you, Miss Ari."
I reach over and pat him on the head, "As much as I appreciate that, Leo. That is way too dangerous right now. If something happened to you while you were there, they would have me right where they want me. I would do anything to make sure you get back to your mother safely. My father and the prince have been in communication, and my father likely knows of your existence." Lysara chimes in, "Ari is right. We can always get her gear back when things settle down and get safer. Gear can be rebought, you cannot." I have an idea with his fur, "Leo, when Father Xavier comes, I want you to go with him and stay with him a while. It will be more dangerous here in the castle since one of our main enemies is right under our nose, and I want you to be away from all of this." I call Sky over and I remove his accessory, "This will put my heart at ease if it's on you, Leo." I approach him while Lysara is fetching her needle and sterilization supplies. I asked him, "Which ear would you like the new earring in?" He points to the ear with the 3 piercings already in it. Lysara has the needle sterilized by this point and gets in position, "Alright on three. One. T -" Leo flinches, anticipating it early.
Lysara giggles, "Relax for me, Leo." I pet him on the head, and his tail wags a little bit, and Lysara does not count and just goes for it. Leo is startled, but he survives. Lysara feeds the earring through the hole, and his grey fur turns black. We hear a knock at the door, then a voice, "Miss Ari, I am back with your fresh water pitcher." I answer, "You can come in May." May opens the door and is a little surprised to see we have guests. I officially introduce everyone to each other, and I can see in person that May has prejudices about demons because of her reaction to Lysara, especially. She put a fake smile on for Leo at least. When I told her my story, she wasn't wearing these faces.
We get another knock, "Ari, it's me." It is Father Xavier. I called him in as well. May stands to the side patiently until she is needed. Father's face is beaming, "This must be Kenji. This must be Leo, and you." He turns to Lysara, "You must be the one and only Lysara who stole my little Ari's heart." I responded wearing a beaming smile happy that my two favorite people are meeting, "Correct. Correct and very much correct." I giggle as I sneak a kiss from Lysara.
Father Xavier puts his hands to his cheeks and does a happy wiggle with his whole body, "Oh my goddess, you two are the cutest. I am so glad I lived to see the day you fell in love, Ari. It fills my heart with joy." He is smiling a very bright smile and continues, "I want to sit down and chat with you, Lysara, over tea sometime, but for now let's get down to business since it isn't the best time for tea parties. Leo, I brought you this cleric's robe. You will be working undercover as my clerical aide in the temple." Leo gets a little attitude, pouting, "But I don't wanna be separated from Miss Ari. I just found her again!" I pat him on the head, "It will be fine. This man is the father I wish I had. He will take wonderful care of you. I know we just got reunited, and I hate saying goodbye." I say as I go in to hug Leo.
Lysara comes in and joins, so we are in a Leo sandwich. I say, "We love you, Leo." Both of us double-teamed, patting his head, messing up his fur. He complains, "I love you both, too. Now please stop, you're embarrassing me!" We giggle, and I say, "Ok." I remove my hand from his head and I grab his hand, "Make sure you write to your mother. Naki must be constantly worrying about you, and I know she will be so happy to hear from you." He groans in teen angst, "Ok fine." His tail wags a bit, betraying his serious face. I smile and kiss him on the forehead, "Love you, don't get in trouble, and listen to Father Xavier." Lysara kisses him on the cheek, "Check in with us periodically, kiddo."
He groans, "Ok. Yea, yea. I know. I'm not a little kid." Father Xavier says, "Go ahead and put the robe on, and we will head back to the temple. I have a lot of things to show you." Leo throws the clerical robe over the clothes he is currently wearing. Then Father motions for Leo to come join him out of the room and continues saying before getting out of earshot, "How do you feel about snak-" Then the door shuts and cuts off his sentence. I want to touch Lysara right now, but May is here. I asked while feeling a little flushed in the face, "May, can you give Lysara and me some alone time?" She glares at Lysara, and Lysara responds by wrapping her arm around me and grabbing my breast from the outside of my clothes. I blush furiously at her doing this, and May replies with a forced smile, "Certainly. I will be right outside if you need me."
She leaves, and Lysara says loudly, "Finally. I am STARVING. I NEED YOU NOW. I don't have time to wait for you to take me." She reaches into her bag and pulls out the anti-eavesdropping tool that was thankfully in her bag and not mine. She says with a sullen expression. I say, "You could have been without magic forever, and I would have been ok with that. You are you, even without your magic. The Lysara I fell in love with didn't have magic to begin with. I hate how they made you feel less than just because of that. It pisses me off."
Lysara says, still touching my forehead, "I love you so much, Ari. How did I ever get so lucky to have met you?" I replied, "I feel even luckier. I probably would have taken my own life by this point without you. Everything changed the moment I met you. My whole world completely shifted. How I viewed life in general even changed. All because you were the light in my darkness. Words cannot describe the feeling in my heart when I think of you. I love you more than you can fathom."
