### Chapter 14
#### Leah's POV
I woke up feeling really excited about going to his house. I get to learn about his abilities and uncover a little bit of his secrets, then plan ways to use him for my family's growth. This might seem like a bad way to think about it—I mean, not everyone wakes up thinking about how to use someone for their personal gain—but as I am now, I have no choice.
#### Eason's POV
I woke up really early, and I wasn't all that excited. This girl's sudden closeness to me feels strange, and I suspect she's acting. But we have a contract, so I'll play along.
I walked downstairs and found Denim making breakfast. He's been extra nice ever since I told him a girl was coming over. (In Denim's mind: *My son has grown so much! 😭*)
"Hey, old man, snap out of it. She's here," I said with urgency in my voice.
"Okay, okay, okay! I'll go bake some cookies," Denim replied, flustered.
I left him and went to the door. "Hey, come in," I said, looking at the young girl dressed in a tight bodysuit.
"Okay," she said as she walked in, taking in the scenery. "So you live in a sanctuary like the rich kid that you are," she teased.
I flashed her an annoyed look. "Stop. Let's go to the training field," I replied with a deadpan expression.
"So, you're not going to offer me something to eat or drink first?" she asked.
"Did you come for a playdate or something? You said you wanted to train, so you're going to train first before anything else."
"Okay," she replied with a downcast expression.
We walked slowly toward the training field. Leah was jumping around, looking at everything with wide eyes filled with surprise. "You're really richer than I thought," she said as soon as we got there.
"Fuck you," I replied with an annoyed expression. "You really want to go home early, don't you?"
"No, no, no! Calm down. We're not fighting—at least, not right now."

#### *A Few Minutes Later*
Two kids could be seen fighting on a stage (or arena). The female one was disappearing and reappearing all over the place.
"This is the most basic use of my ability, *Blink.* I can move from one point to another within a short period of time," the girl said as she disappeared and reappeared above the boy, her sword slashing downward toward his head.
The boy easily deflected the attack, sidestepped, and attempted to grab her by the foot to slam her into the ground.
"You're too aggressive, you monster!" she screamed, blinking behind him and placing her sword's blade to his neck.
"I win," she said with a smirk.
