The first session of the interview took place within three hours which included asking questions from them, coordinated by the HR department. Immediately they were done with the first phase, they were being taken into a spacious meeting hall.
Filled with directors and managers from different departments in the company. As their gazes remained on the applicant as they entered according to their numbers.
For this session, they are to make detailed descriptions of the design they submitted when they applied. Seems like the company wants to make sure the design belongs to them. While the applicant began explaining their designs the others were seated in the corner of the room with the supervisors focus on each design.
Soon, it was almost Bai Xue's turn, as the fourth applicant was rounding up. Each applicant is given 20 minutes to finish up the presentation for their designs but most of them were either cut off in the middle or asked to wrap up quickly due to the time assigned to them since they don't have all day to do this.
Next, Bai Xue was asked to come forward to present.
"You've got this!" Wu Yuxin said to her with smiles, trying to boost her morale. "Thank you!" Bai Xue stood up gently and smoothly with printed materials in her hands. She walked over to the coordinator that provided them with numbers when they came in, greeting her with a gentle bow before handing her the printed materials for her project.
Although, an audio-visual aid was provided to the applicant to make sure the judges get their description well, but the mode of presentation depends on the applicant. So, Bai Xue prepared printed materials beforehand to make sure they fully understand what she'll be explaining.
When the managers and department heads saw her actions, their eyes glinted with surprise. They were not expecting such type of presentation. Some of them even began to whisper and nod to each other looking like they were deciding on her matter.
As they each opened the printed materials, preparing to listen to new information, they heard silent footsteps coming into the hall. Without batting an eyelid, they all stood up and bowed towards the entrance in unison as if they were military officers.
They recognized the sound of the steps and acted quickly; it was Ceo Liu who came in. His cold thin eyes looked through his eyeglasses as he observes the room. The room's atmosphere suddenly changes to a cold and heavy aura as if the god of war was among them. Even intern applicants felt the shiver run down their throat as they all focused their gazes on him with their eyes wide opened.
Ceo Liu sat down first before the department heads and managers were able seat. They all sat upright unlike the way they were seated in a relaxed manner before he came in.
Bai Xue felt her heartbeat increased, what she feared the most had finally happened. She swallowed hard and bit her lower lip as his gaze is now focused on her completely.
They both stare at each other eye to eye before Bai Xue's attention shifted back on her presentation. She practiced the breathing technique to regain her confidence again.
Swiftly, Bai Xue commenced her presentation by introducing herself and the theme title she gave to her design. She named it "Accessible Oasis". "It's a design and theme that fosters people with disabilities to work in an accessible and inclusive space without any discrimination." Bai Xue proposed in an audible voice. Her composure and demeanor filled the room with the judge's paying attention to her explanation. Even other applicants were caught up in the atmosphere.
Ceo Liu titled his head slightly to the side as his eyes narrowed in his glasses. Immediately he did that, the department heads saw his actions and knew he is somewhat interested in the idea as they all took breath of relief.
Bai Xue glanced round the room staring at the department heads seated as they have their eyes on the printed materials given to them earlier. She stared at Ceo Liu again few seconds before she continued in her speech.
"I believe people with disabilities should be able to work like other humans without one disability or the other in order to live their dream careers." Bai Xue continued.
For the next 20 minutes, the tension in the room shifted from cold and heavy to soft and warm. Just then, when Bai Xue round up her presentation in a concise and brief way and bowed, they all gave her round of applause for her performance and composure. She smiled and bowed gently to appreciate them once more.
As if he wasn't part of the interview when Bai Xue started, Ceo Liu stood up to leave at once without waiting for the next candidate to begin. The department heads glanced at each other in question of why he showed up in the first place since it wasn't necessary for him to attend.
Wu Yuxin who stood up to start her presentation felt disappointed as she pouted and sighed. "He could have waited a while to watch me present." She muttered to herself before she began explaining.
After 6 hours for the second phase of interview ended, they were now free to go home. Although they had breaks in between. Emails have been sent to them immediately to notify them about the completion of the interview as well as processes for further decision.
Bai Xue said her goodbyes to other applicants and left in the taxi. She dozed off for a while in the car before she arrived home. It was now that the sleepless night she had before going for the interview begins to take effect. It was already late in the evening so, Bai Xue decided to sleep for a while and wake up later to eat.
Fortunately for her, she noticed there was no one at home as she jumped for joy. At least she would be able to get a good sleep for few hours before another drama begins.
Before she goes to bed, she decided to give her mother a call telling her she was already done with her interview. After the call ended, she went into the bathroom to take a warm bath. Next, she came out putting on a white colored pajama as she settles herself on the bed.
Seconds after, the image of Ceo Liu flashed into her memory. "Ahh, why does he look cold and scary?" Bai Xue grumbled and Blushed under the covers. She rolled under the duvet as she continues to blush till she fell asleep few minutes later.
