"Last time on Total Drama Action," Chris began the recap while laying on a beach chair. "It was a real blood fest as our contestants all got their scare on trying to see which team could make the other pee their pants the most. Sure some scares had plenty to be desired, looking at you Owen, but others actually managed to get some good screams. Mike, if that even is the guy's real name, ended up being the surprise MVP of the scare-off by planning a scare so grand it led all the Grips to quiver like little girls. But in a shocking twist, and due to the persuasion of the scariest person on the film lot Chef, DJ stepped up to be the killer for the second part of the challenge and surprised everyone further by actually managing to slash all the Grip Survivors! In the end Ronnie Anne was able to get her team to vote off Duncan, but not before leaving in the most memorable way possible! Nice thong there Ronalda! Will DJ's conscience eventually catch up to him over his illegal alliance with Chef? Will the Grips continue to cower like little babies? And who will win today's complete disaster of a challenge? Find out the answers to all of that and more right now on Total. Drama. Action!"
Currently in the Craft and Services Tent, everyone was enjoying yet another delicious breakfast. Thankfully it seems Chef was keeping it up with the nice tasting food as everyone was enjoying a bowl of delicious tasting oatmeal. But while most of the teens were contently eating, the only one who wasn't was DJ. The brick house was the last to be seated, which seemed to be happening a lot lately, and was simply poking his oatmeal with a spoon. DJ sighed a bit as his face morphed into one of conflict.
It was all over what happened at the last challenge. After actually winning DJ was on a bit of a high, feeling proud of himself that he won it for his team. But like all highs, DJ eventually came back down and that led into guilt. Guilt for scaring the other team while playing the killer, DJ certainly hated being scared himself and scaring others didn't really feel much better. Plus there was still his whole alliance with Chef that was constantly a source of guilt for his conscience.
CONFESSIONAL – DJ
"I'm still glad I won the last challenge for my team and all but…I can't help but feel bad over what I had to do to win it…" DJ sighed out as he rubbed the back of his head in guilt. He hoped he wouldn't have to do something like play the killer again. Running around chasing people, growling and acting all scary. It just…wasn't him. "I get it was a horror challenge but…I feel bad about scaring everyone and chasing them around. I'm glad I made my team happy but I feel bad how I did it…"
"Hey there mate, why ya looking so down?" DJ looked up and saw Jasmine standing on the other side of the table in front of him. The Australian Amazon was originally sitting with Dawn and Bridgette but after she saw DJ looking a bit down in the dumps she decided to go see what was up with the gentle brickhouse. "Penny for your thoughts?"
"Oh hey Jasmine," DJ greeted his teammate with a small smile. He was happy that she decided to come by and check on him, made him glad he had such supporting and caring teammates. "Sorry for looking so down, just not feeling so good right now…"
"Well what's up?" Jasmine offered to be an ear for DJ to confide in. They were part of the same team after all, they had to look out and support each other when things weren't looking good. "You can tell me, promise I won't judge,"
"Well…I guess…it's about the last challenge," DJ decided to confide with Jasmine about what was on his mind. Maybe it would be better to tell someone rather than keep it to himself. His momma did always say that bottling things up will only make things worse. "I know I won it for everyone but…it doesn't feel right how I did it. I know I volunteered to be the killer but…it just doesn't feel right how I won. Acting like this big scary slasher, making everyone scream and freak out, it just…I don't know…Momma always says scaring people isn't gentlemanly…"
"Well…if that's the case why did you ask to be the killer then mate?" Jasmine asked with a raised bro. DJ hesitated to speak up, he couldn't tell anyone about his alliance with Chef. The buff cook would kill him if he did that. Jasmine could see his hesitation and went to softly grab one of his hands, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "I just told ya DJ, you can tell me anything and I promise, no judging at all. Feel free to speak your mind."
DJ looked around and tried to find a way to twist his words a bit before sighing as he explained things to Jasmine. "I guess…I just wanna try and toughen up a bit…" What DJ said technically wasn't a lie. Granted it was Chef that gave him the idea but DJ did wanna try and toughen up a bit. Be a braver and better man and all that. Still stung he couldn't tell her the complete truth though. "So I asked if I could step up to see if I could. And I guess I did but I just feel bad how I ended up doing it…"
"Hey, hey, it's alright mate. Listen to me," Jasmine rose up DJ's head so that way the brickhouse was looking her right in the eye. The Australian Amazon gave him a soft, gentle, and reassuring look with a kind smile and understanding eyes. DJ found a dust of pink coming to his cheeks as he looked at Jasmine. "There's nothing wrong with wanting to try and toughen up like that, I mean look at me? Haha, and I get that you feel bad about spooking the others. If scaring others isn't your forte that's fine, you don't have to like it. But what really matters is you stepped up, tried your hardest and even succeeded."
"You sure?" DJ asked, blinking a few times.
"Of course! You really came through for the team there," Jasmine continued giving DJ words of encouragement. "And hey sometimes to toughen up you gotta do stuff you don't like, I certainly did. It's like life itself, it's hard and it's gonna find ways to try and push you down but it makes it more satisfying when you fight back and keep yourself up! You stepped up during the challenge and really came through for us. That took a lot of guts and I respect it."
"Wow…really?" DJ asked with a bit of surprise. Jasmine probably only rivaled Chef as the toughest person he knew so to hear that from her…it meant quite a lot. "Thanks Jasmine…I really needed to hear that."
"Hey, what are friends more mate," Jasmine reassured DJ, sending him a wink.
But not all talks were quite as wholesome as that. Over at the table where most of the Grips were, Owen was surprisingly not eating his food. Instead the big guy was working on his latest attempt of winning back Izzy as he put his hands to his oatmeal and began molding it into another shape. "Hey Izzy! Look what I made!" Izzy huffed a bit as Owen called out to her and showed off what he made. Using the oatmeal from his bowl, Owen made a food sculpture of Izzy's head. It was a little…messy looking but the general shape was there. "It's just as delicious as you~"
"Well then maybe you should date her instead," Izzy told Owen harshly.
But instead of being downtrodden by the rejection, Owen actually perked up in excitement. "Ah! You talked to me!" Owen cheered as he rose his arms. Instead of the cold silent treatment that he's been getting from Izzy lately she actually talked to him! Even if it was a rejection she still spoke up to him. "Yes! Woohoo!"
Izzy simply rolled her eyes before walking away.
CONFESSIONAL – Owen
"Yes! I made progress!" Owen cheered excitedly. He was sure that if he kept it up Izzy would eventually take him back and forgive him for the whole 'pushing her into a psycho killer' incident. "I'm finally back on her radar!"
"…" Mr. Coconut let out, causing Owen to raise a brow.
"What do you mean unless I take the hit?" Owen asked his fruity pal with a confused look. "What hit?
"Dude you need to quit while you're ahead," Justin shook his head at the big guy. Honestly it was becoming kinda pathetic watching Owen continue to try and woo Izzy only to get shot down. Sure it was kinda funny at first but someone could only watch the same guy get rejected by the same girl over and over again before it stopped being funny and just became sad. "If she tries to kill you because you can't take the very, very obvious hint you're on your own,"
"Aw come on, Izzy isn't gonna try and kill me," Owen waved off Justin's words. The big guy was confident he'd be able to win over the psycho hose beast with enough time. "Just watch, I'll win her back!"
"Your funeral man," Justin rolled his eyes before going back to enjoying his oatmeal. If Owen wanted to risk death by Izzy, that was on him. No one can tell the handsome teen he didn't at least try to stop Owen.
"So hey Mike," Over with Mike and Trent, the guitarist decided it was as good a time as any to ask Mike about what went on with him during the horror movie challenge. Or more specifically what Trent suspected was one of Mike's personalities, Mike certainly wasn't acting himself during that challenge and he didn't change back until after it was over. None of Mike's other personalities that Trent's seen were ever around that long. "Wanted to talk to you about something. I think one of your other personalities was out during the horror movie challenge,"
"Yeah you're probably right. Didn't remember a thing about that challenge. I remember going into the scare walk and then boom, suddenly we're at the Gilded Chris Ceremony." Mike never really got used to that. It could be pretty disorienting sometimes. One moment he'd be doing something or talking to someone and the next who knows how much time has passed. "So which one was it?"
"Not sure, never actually gave their name," Trent put a hand to his chin as he tried to remember what Mike's other personality looked like. Thankfully they were easy to tell apart due to the slightly physical differences, like Chester hunching down and Vito having slicked back hair. "But he had his hair down into bangs and their eyes had bags under them if I remember correctly."
Immediately Mike did a spit take as his eyes shot open. Trent was thankfully able to dodge in time as Mike was left choking a bit, causing him to quickly down a glass of water to get everything down. "Oh…Oh no…" Mike said with worry. If there was any of his personalities that he was worried about causing trouble for him while he was on the show, it was him. "That was Mal…"
"Mal?" Trent blinked a few times after finally learning the name of the personality he saw yesterday. "What's so bad about Mal?"
"Remember how I said one of my personalities got me sent to Juvie?" Mike told Trent slowly.
"…Oh…" Trent blinked a few times as it instantly registered to him. So Mal was the personality that got Mike locked up in Juvie. That was…certainly worrying to say the least. Although that would explain how tough he was and how much he helped rock the first part of the horror challenge and helped DJ really rock the part of the killer. "Well…what's the deal with him then? He didn't seem too bad when he was with us."
"Well…Mal, you could say he's my defense mechanism." Mike explained exactly what Mal was all about. He remembered when Mal first formed in his head. He faced a lot of bullying for his condition with others thinking he was some weirdo or a freak, and eventually Mal formed to help him deal with all those bullies. Just not in the…most peaceful ways. "I…got picked on and bullied a lot for my condition and eventually Mal formed as another personality to essentially deal with them. He's got my best interest at heart but he tends to go…a bit far sometimes."
"Weird he only showed up now," Trent couldn't help but wonder. If Mal was supposed to come out when Mike was in danger you'd think he'd come out during like…the first challenge. And nearly every challenge afterwards. "I mean you were in danger a bunch with the rest of us,"
"Eeeh, he kinda chooses whether or not to pop up." Mike tried to explain. Mal was always the most difficult of his personalities to keep under control. He had triggers like his other personalities but he tended to give himself a bit more freedom. "He's pretty unpredictable, hope he didn't do anything too bad…"
"Actually he kinda helped us win," Trent revealed with a smile, making Mike breathe out a sigh of relief. Trent then looked past Mike and looked towards Geoff and winced a bit as he saw the party dude's still bruised cheek. "He did kind of sock Geoff in the face though…"
"Oh great…" Mike looked back and winced a bit as he saw Geoff's cheek. "Still…guess it could have been worse."
"Yeah man, just chill out a bit. No need to stress so much about it," Trent told Mike with his usual calm and relaxed tone to get Mike to ease up. So far none of Mike's personalities have really caused any problems, so Trent hoped he could get Mike to stop worrying so much about his condition ruining his time here. "Geoff's a pretty nice guy, I'm sure that if you apologize it'll all be good,"
"I hope you're right," Mike sighed out before giving Trent a thankful smile.
"Cool! Bendy straws!" Over by the table where Harold, Leshawna, Lincoln, and Dawn were sitting Harold grinned as he noticed on the table was an entire cup filled with dozens of white bendy straws. "These are just like the ones I had at the hospital where I had my kidneys switched!"
"Huh?" A few people let out in response.
"I was born with a rare kidney disorder," Harold explained as he pointed to where his kidneys were in his body. "My right kidney was where the left should be,"
"You had a surgical kidney swap?" Leshawna asked as she gave Harold a shocked look, slightly disgusted by the story.
"That's right," Harold grinned, actually looking rather proud of this. "I'm a rare case,"
"You're a rare case alright," Heather rolled her eyes from where she was sitting.
"Whatever," Harold wasn't gonna let Heather bring him down as he took all the bendy straws out of the cup and stuffed them into his pocket. "I'm loading up!"
CONFESSIONAL – Mike
"Well at least I'm not the only one here born with some sort of condition," Mike chuckled a bit as he sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. "For whatever that is worth I guess,"
As everyone was talking Chris finally decided to make himself known to everyone as he stepped into the tent with his usual grin on his face. "Good morning contestants! I can see you're all enjoying breakfast today," Chris chuckled to himself as everyone raised a brow at him. "But I hope you aren't too attached to it because odds are you won't be holding onto it for long,"
"And why's that?" Jasmine asked as she crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes at Chris. "Just what kind of torture do you have in store for us today?"
"Ooooh not much," Chris said way too cheekily causing everyone to give the host with the most an unamused stare. "Just that today will be a total disaster,"
"It's a disaster movie challenge," Dawn stated bluntly, easily picking up the hints Chris was laying down.
"Stop. Doing. That!" Chris sent Dawn an irritated look. Once again for two challenges in a row, she just had to be the aura reading buzzkill that she tended to be. But Chris quickly picked himself up, again he wasn't gonna let Dawn get to him. Besides, he'd be having much more fun today he was certainly positive of that. "But, she's right. I'm sure you're all familiar with the genre. People constantly running for their lives from volcanoes, earthquakes, asteroids, tidal waves. The more disastrous the better!"
CONFESSIONAL – Lindsay
"My hair is already a total disaster!" Lindsay whined as she held up her hair and pointed out all the things wrong with it now. "It's been three weeks since I had a trim! Split ends city! How much worse could it get?"
But Lindsay would soon find out as Chris took them to the spot of their next challenge. The contestants all looked up in horror as they saw an obstacle course set up on a slope consisting of tires, traffic cones, monkey bars, a metal barrel, a balance beam, and then finally ending in a wall climb. Sure the obstacle course seemed basic…but the fact that it was one a slope and the threat of disaster still lingering in all their minds everyone knew that they would be in for a world of hurt.
"Welcome everyone to the first part of today's challenge! The Earthquake of inevitable pain!" Chris grinned as he gestured to the obstacle course. "You'll have to give yourselves the ultimate test of dexterity while your team tries to clear the obstacle course! All the while Chef rains hell down on you, and Lily and Edward work a console where each button gives its own flavor of pain and carnage!"
Everyone looked to see Chef set up a station at the end of the obstacle course, bringing up a pile of random junk with him. Meanwhile Lily and Edward made themselves comfy in front of a console with all sorts of buttons and switches. "Brbrbrb!" Edward let out excitedly.
"Hey Lincoln!" Lily waved to her brother before pointing to the console. "Look! I get to push buttons!"
"Oh no…" Lincoln let out as everyone had looks of horror on their faces from this.
"First team to the top wins!" Chris explained to everyone as they all tried to prepare themselves for the unbelievable trial they were about to face. "Winning team gets an advantage in the second and final part of the challenge,"
"You do have medical staff on standby…" DJ gulped a bit in fear as he looked over the obstacle course. "Right?"
"Medic!" Chris called out…only to watch as Edward pulled a nurse's hat out of nowhere and placed it on his head. "See? We're all set! Places everyone!"
Both teams then lined up on both sides of the obstacle course. Some of them were definitely more prepared for this than others. "Ready…set…" Chris began as he held up an air horn that he promptly used. "Action!"
Both teams set off immediately on the obstacle course. The more athletic members of both teams took the front to begin first with the Gaffers being Jasmine, Bridgette, and Leshawna and for the Grips it was Ronnie Anne, Tyler, and Heather. Getting past the tires was easy enough for both teams, but they would soon learn that easy was not a word to associate with this course. "Hah! How easy is this?" Ronnie Anne smirked confidently before soon eating her words.
"Are you ready to rock?!" Chris let out before laughing like a manic as he pulled up a remote control. Pressing one of the buttons on it, the course immediately began violently shaking to simulate an earthquake.
The contestants greatly struggled to hold their footing as many began falling down on their faces or butts. Tyler was trying to charge forward and push past anything thrown his way, but the shaking of the course eventually knocked him down onto the traffic cones. Picking himself up, the jock blushed in embarrassment as two stuck onto his chest like a bra.
While some tumbled and struggled to get their footing others were able to push forward. "Can't…knock me down…that easily!" Jasmine gritted her teeth as she stepped forward, stomping her feet and holding her ground before making it to the monkey bars. "Hah! Gotta do better than that ya bloody bugga!"
"Woohoo!" Geoff cheered as he pushed forward with relative ease as he too made it to the monkey bars. "Righteous! Totally righteous!"
CONFESSIONAL – Geoff
"Dealing with earthquakes is kind of like surfing, know what I mean?" Geoff stated as he leaned back in his chair with a relaxed expression on his face. "Ya gotta ride it instead of fight it bro!"
For those that were able to push past the shaking of the course, Chef was there to deal with them. He rubbed his hands as he looked at the box of random objects he brought with him. "Good time to get rid of some old junk!" Chef grinned as he picked up an old football that he chucked at one of the random contestants.
"Ow!" Harold let out as he was pelted by the ball. "By right kidney!"
Chef then got to throwing whatever he grabbed at the contestants. An old sink, a bowling ball, a vase, a rubber ducky. "Ow!" Justin let out as the rubber duck hit his cheek. "My precious cheekbones!"
"Woah!" Dawn let out as she ducked under a lamp Chef threw at her. The nature lover's eyes widened as she saw more objects being thrown her way but narrowing her eyes, Dawn focused herself as she managed to dodge all of them just in time. "I won't go down that easily!"
"Grrrrr," Chef let out in irritation.
"Ok…Ok Mike…just try and relax!" Mike told himself as he struggled to stay on his feet as he pushed forward through the obstacle course. Currently he wasn't doing so well and was near the back of the pack, his skinny body struggling to fight against the quakes. "It's just an obstacle course that's constantly shaking, Chef is throwing stuff at you, and you can barely stand! But you can do this! You…can…"
Suddenly Mike let out a loud gasp and in an instant, it was almost like the quake didn't affect the skinny teen at all as they moved forward with a surprising amount of grace. "Wrong! Only vone person can do vis!" Suddenly Mike began speaking in a Russian accent with a high-pitched voice. Their eyes seemed to sparkle and it almost looked like Mike had long eyelashes and was wearing lipstick. "Svetlana! The Olympic queen of gymnastics!"
"Huh?" Lincoln let out as everyone looked towards Mike.
His teammates, sans Trent and Dawn, were at first annoyed as it looked like he was about to do another one of his crazy characters now of all times! But then they watched as Svetlana completely dominated the obstacle course! She easily cleared the tires before leaping forward and simply used the monkey bars to launch herself through the metal pipe before long on the balance log that she cleared with complete grace before jumping and grabbing the top of the wall and using it to vault herself to the end where she landed with a pose. "Perfect form!" Svetlana grinned to herself as Chef briefly stopped throwing objects to give Svetlana a stunned look.
"Woah!" Chris let out in an impressed tone at what Mike just displayed. "And Mike bust out a secret skill and becomes the first one to clear the obstacle course!"
"What?!" Ronnie Anne let out while struggling to hang onto the monkey bars
CONFESSIONAL – Ronnie Anne
"Ok what is with that guy?!" Ronnie Anne asked with a completely shocked tone. "First he does weird old man and jersey guy impressions but then he's suddenly fearless in a horror setting and cleared the obstacle course like it was child's play?! Uuuugh, maybe I should've chosen him over Beth…"
CONFESSIONAL – Mike
"Oh sweet did Svetlana kick in?" Mike asked himself with a grin before pumping his fist up. "Yes! That's awesome! Some of my personalities can definitely cause problems for me, but I know I can really count on Svetlana to get me out of a pinch!"
CONFESSIONAL – Trent
"Ok so we got Chester, Vito, Mal, and Svetlana. That's four of Mike's five other personalities," Trent listed the other personalities that he's seen from Mike so far. The guitarist has been making sure to keep track of them as well as what seems to trigger them. "Wonder what the last one is, gotta be the one that Mike mentioned would offend Jasmine. I don't think any of the other four would offend her…well maybe Vito."
"Just watch!" Tyler let out as he cleared the monkey bars and was about to make his way through the metal barrel. "He's not the only athletic-"
BAM!
But right as Tyler said that he was pelted by a cinder block by Chef.
"Tyson no!" Lindsay called out to her boyfriend in concern, again getting his name wrong.
"Made it!" Jasmine let out as she managed to clear the course not too long after Svetlana did.
"Alright Lily, Edward, you are up," Chris grinned as he looked to his two little assistants. "We already got people getting through the course, time to step things up!"
"Aye Aye sir!" Lily grinned and she and Edward looked over all the buttons in front of them on the console. However Edward had another idea and left the console and proceeded to waddle towards Chef. "Hmmmm, so many to choose! Eenie meenie minie…ALL OF THEM!!!"
Lily then began hitting buttons with reckless abandon. The effects of it were instant as the course started shaking faster, flowing from the top of it was 'lava' which was really just tomato soup Chef planned on making for supper, cracks started appearing in the ground, the madness was never ending! "Aaaaah!" Leshawna let out as she barely avoided falling down one of the cracks. "Yo Q-Tip! Your sister is a little maniac!"
"Tell me something I don't know!" Lincoln yelled back to her as he and Bridgette managed to get through the metal barrel together.
"W-W-Woah!" Bridgette let out as she struggled to get to her feet from all the shaking. Just then a crack in the course formed right by her and she was about to fall in, but thankfully Lincoln acted fast.
"Bridgette look out!" Lincoln was quick to grab the surfer girl's hand and pull her away before she could fall. But the result was her bumping into him leading them both to fall down onto the course with Lincoln landing on his back and Bridgette falling on top of him…with her chest landing directly on his face.
"Alright!" Geoff cheered as he reached the end, being the first one to make it for the Grips. "Yo dudes I made…huh?!" But Geoff was cut off as he saw Bridgette, his girlfriend, laying right on top of Lincoln with her boobs right in his face.
"Oh my gosh!" Bridgette yelled out as her face exploded into red from embarrassment as she quickly pushed herself off Lincoln who also had a bit of pink dust on his cheeks. "I am so sorry!!!"
"It's alright, at least you're ok," Lincoln reassured Bridgette with a grin as he helped both of them to their feet. It was just a little mistake is all, nothing to worry about. "Let's move!"
"R-Right!" Bridgette stuttered but managed to pull herself together and followed Lincoln. "Let's go!"
Meanwhile watching the whole thing was Geoff who was looking a bit worried, and Ronnie Anne who had a sinister smirk on her face.
CONFESSIONAL - Geoff
"He was just protecting her, nothing else," Geoff tried to remain cool over what he just saw. The course was shaking and people were tumbling over each other constantly, it was a given. "Coulda happened to anyone…r-right?" But despite his own words Geoff still looked unsure and concerned.
CONFESSIONAL – Ronnie Anne
"Oh this is just way too easy," Ronnie Anne grinned evilly.
"…C-Come on…come on…" DJ whimpered a bit as he struggled to stay on the monkey bars. Despite his large size and strength DJ never considered himself to be an athletic guy. And right now chaos was happening all around him. People screaming and getting hurt, the course shaking and random objects being tossed willy nilly, and everything in between. "I-I can't do this! I…I can't…"
But as DJ was telling himself this, he managed to open his eyes and looked forward towards the end of the course. Suddenly Jasmine came into view and he saw the Australian Amazon looking right at him and cheering him on, encouraging the brickhouse to push himself to go farther. And past her he saw Chef, the man who was making it his mission to toughen DJ up. The Buff cook was giving him a firm hard stare, as he was threatening him not to give up.
Suddenly DJ heard both their words echoing through his head.
'It's like life itself, it's hard and it's gonna find ways to try and push you down but it makes it more satisfying when you fight back and keep yourself up!'
'Listen DJ, today is where things change! You gotta stop being scared and MAKE people scared!'
DJ then took a deep breath…and pushed himself forward. "Aaaaaaaaahhh!!!" DJ let out what could only be described as a battle cry as he managed to clear the monkey bars before diving into and crawling out of the metal barrel. With the balance beam DJ ran right towards it and managed to leap over the entire thing before reaching the wall and clearing over it in no time at all and meeting the members of his team that already completed it. "I did! I…I did it!"
"Right on ya mate!" Jasmine cheered as she went in and gave DJ a tight hug, accidentally squeezing the air out of the brickhouse. But DJ didn't care, it felt rather…nice to be held like this. "That was amazing!"
With Chef, his firm stare turned into a smirk and nod of approval at DJ. Looks like his lessons were finally starting to pay off. "Brbrbrbr," Chef then looked down and saw Edward was at his feet. The platypus pointed at himself, then at Chef, and then at the obstacle course. "Brbrb! Brbrbr!"
Chef grinned and picked up Edward, easily understanding what the semi-aquatic mammal was saying, he reared Edward back. "Platypus-ho!" Chef yelled before chucking Edward forward.
"BRBRBRBR!" Edward let out as he directed himself towards one contestant in particular.
"Oh hell no!" Heather yelled back and was unable to dodge as Edward landed right on her face. "Mmmmmmm!!!!"
"Things seemed to be getting heated here!" Chris stated as he drove by on a golf cart he was using to tow something covered by a sheet. While Chef and Lily continued to rain disaster down on everyone, Chris went to go get something to help out with that. "How about a nice cool hailstorm!" Chris then removed the sheet revealing what looked to be a heavy duty tennis ball launcher…only it was filled with golf balls. "Golf ball sized hail is bad, but hail sized golf balls is even worse!"
Chris then sat himself down on the launcher and began taking aim at the contestants. Aiming at Izzy first, at first the psycho hose beast was able to dodge some at first but was soon pelted by a barrage of golf balls. "Hey Chef!" Chris called out to the buff cook. "I got one!"
"Don't get cocky kid!" Chef yelled back with an amused smirk.
"Not the face!" Justin pleaded as he saw Chris take aim at him. "Not the face!" But Justin's pleas went unheard, or were instead ignored, as Chris openly fired at Justin.
CONFESSIONAL – Justin
"Oh this is a travesty!" Justin slumped down, his body covered in bruises from the golf balls. Plus he had a black eye now as well. "There's no way I'll get that skin care endorsement now…" Justin then put a hand to his 'completely mangled' face. "Not so silky smooth…"
By now nearly all the competitors were at least at the halfway point of the obstacle course but the constant barrage of pain and disaster just kept on coming. "Aaaaahhh!" Lindsay screamed as she was about to fall in a crack that formed in the course.
"I got ya babe!" Tyler was quick to the rescue as he grabbed Lindsay before she could fall, the Jock grabbing the other side of the course with his hand to keep himself up. Unfortunately for Tyler, Owen was nearby and tripped, falling right onto his back. "Ack! Can't…breathe…bro..."
"Sorry!" Owen apologized as he held up Mr. Coconut. "Me and Mr. Coconut are still carrying a bit of holiday weight, hehe,"
"Grrrrrr…" Tyler managed to growl out.
Just then Izzy ran up to them and grabbed Tyler's leg and managed to pull all three of them back onto the course. "Move! Move!" The psycho hose beast ordered with everyone following her orders as Chris began to pelt them with more golf balls.
"Quick! Get behind me!" Owen was willing to use himself as a human shield to protect his team from the golf balls. As Lindsay, Justin, Tyler, and Izzy pushed forward Owen took the brunt of Chris' barrage. "Ow! Isn't someone supposed to yell four?!"
"Fooooour!" Chris yelled out before he began pelting Owen again only to soon run out of ammo, with the big guy taking advantage of this as he continued forward. "Chef! I'm out! Back me up while I reload!"
Chef nodded and began chucking stuff at the contestants again. At this point the only Gaffers yet to cross were Harold and Leshawna with the Grips still having Justin, Lindsay, Tyler, Izzy, and Owen to get to the end. As Chef was throwing objects, he came across one particular interesting item. A large book that seemed to be as big as Chef's head. "Ah my unpublished manifesto, hehe, I lived a lot of years," Chef looked at it fondly before looking for someone to throw it at with his eyes coming to a certain psycho hose beast. "Hey crazy girl! This is for all the trouble you caused me last season!"
Suddenly Izzy watched as the giant book came rocketing at her at top speed. But before it hit her. "IZZY WATCH OUT!!!" Suddenly Izzy found herself being pushed out of the way by Owen as the book came at him and-
CRUNCH!!!
A loud crunching sound echoed throughout as Owen was tossed back and landed on his back, the book having hit him right in the jaw as his teeth were now broken and shattered. "OWEN!!!" Izzy called out in concern. In that moment all her anger for Owen leaving her for dead back on the island disappeared as she went to go check on him. "OH MY GOSH!!!"
"Oooowwww…" Owen groaned out, nearly everyone watched in horror as they saw his poor busted up jaw. "That'll hurt come morning…" And with that, Owen fell unconscious as he dropped Mr. Coconut.
"My editor was right," Chef grinned as he looked at the camera. "My life really is dangerous."
CONFESSIONAL – Bridgette
"Oh my gosh! Did Owen actually just break his jaw!?" Bridgette let out in horror over what she saw. "That's horrible!"
CONFESSIONAL – Geoff
"The dude's jaw is completely busted!" Geoff screamed out in a panic over what happened to one of his friends. "How's the dude gonna eat now?!"
CONFESSIONAL – Izzy
"He…He actually protected me…" Izzy whimpered out as tears built up in her eyes. It seemed that the crazy girl everyone knew was no longer then and instead it was a worried girl scared for Owen's safety while also feeling a tremendous amounts of guilt. "Even after everything I did to him…"
Despite being unconscious Owen continued screaming in pain as everything happened on the obstacle course stopped with Chris stepping up. "Uh Chris," Leshawna spoke up as she pointed at Owen. "Isn't the crew going to help him?"
"Yeah, yeah," Chris nodded as he positioned fingers on both hands to a square while ordering the camera crew to get shots of the downed Owen. "As soon as we're done getting every shot."
CONFESSIONAL – Lincoln
"Not cool Chris…" Lincoln slowly shook his head and glared at the camera. "Not cool at all…"
"The good news though," Chris brought up as nearly everyone, especially Izzy, was giving the host nasty looks. "Owen won the challenge for the Killer Grips!"
"No he didn't!" The Gaffers all started complaining about that. Meanwhile despite the announcement none of the Grips really felt like cheering, though Justin, Heather, and Ronnie Anne did crack smirks.
"Yeah! We got our whole team across!" Harold pointed out that all the Gaffers were at the end of the course.
"Serious injury trumps all," Chris pointed out.
"Seriously?! We all got to the end first!" Jasmine glared venomous daggers at Chris. "What kind of a bloody (BLEEP)stick are ya Mclain?!"
"…I love my job," Chris smirked proudly.
Thankfully an ambulance was called to pick up Owen and get him checked out. As he was being rolled towards the ambulance on a gurney Izzy followed him with her having Mr. Coconut in her hands. "Iz…Iz…Izzy…" Owen managed to speak up despite the pain.
"Y-Yeah Owen?" Izzy softly spoke up to the big guy, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm…sorry…." And with that, Owen was put into the ambulance and was quickly driven away to the hospital. Izzy soon shed a few tears with Dawn and Jasmine both going up to her to comfort the crying redhead.
The competitors were all given a break in order to recover from that whole ordeal and once it was over both teams met up at the film lots dock where a submarine was hung up over the water that was split into two identical rooms with two rafts floating in front of the sub. "How's Owen doing?" Izzy immediately asked, concern filling her voice with many of the other contestants from both teams also looking worried.
"Oh, Owen's fine," Chris tried to reassure everyone with the reports he got from the hospital. "Just a little broken jaw, but according to the doctors they have it all handled and it shouldn't take more than 4 to 6 weeks to heal."
"Oh dang!" Geoff let out as that news only made people more concerned. "It's that bad dude?"
"I mean…he's doing fine!" Chris quickly said only to be met with glares.
CONFESSIONAL – Chris
"That's what release forms are for," Chris stated as he held up one of those said forms. "Correctomundo!"
"Alright, now it's time for the second part of the disaster themed challenge!" Chris announced as both teams now found themselves in the rafts in front of the submarine. "Who's excited?" Yeah, no one was. "Because of Owen's win, the Grips have the advantage of this handy dandy piece of paper for the second disaster challenge!"
Chris then pulled out a piece of paper that he folded into an airplane and threw towards the Grips. At first it flew past them but then the plane did a u-turn and directed itself right at Lindsay's face. "Ow!" Lindsay let out as she picked up the paper and looked at it, showing off a set of roman numeral numbers on it. "How's this going to help? It just has a bunch of dumb numbers on it."
"Looks like a lock combination," Heather pointed out as she narrowed her eyes at Lindsay. "Idiot."
"Alright everyone, time to get inside!" Chris said as he pointed at the submarine.
"W-What?" Suddenly it was Jasmine of all people that looked the most worried as she stared at the room of the sub her team was beginning to pile into. The tight…dark…cramped room that didn't exactly have much space. "W-We…have to go…i-in there…"
"That's what I said yes," Chris nodded his head.
CONFESSIONAL – Jasmine
"So…a little fun fact about me…" Jasmine nervously spoke up as she pointed her two fingers together. "I may be a teensy bit…claustrophobic…"
"Mmmmmm…" Jasmine whimpered as she curled herself into a ball after her team forced her to get inside. Once both teams were in the sub both rooms were sealed up and that was when Jasmine's fear really kicked in.
"Jasmine…" Trent slowly said as he and everyone else looked at Jasmine, not used to seeing the usually confident and super tough Amazon like this. "You good?"
"Yeah of course I'm good mate! Why wouldn't I be good!?" Jasmine spoke in a panicked voice that told everyone she was not in fact good. "Not like we're in a tight dark room with walls…closing in and the air disappearing…WHERE IS THE AIR!?!?!"
Jasmine then stood up and began panicking while banging on the walls of the sub, desperately trying to get out. "She's kind of claustrophobic…" Dawn revealed to everyone.
"GET ME OUTTA THIS TIN CAN!!!" Jasmine yelled out desperately.
"…Ya don't say…" Mike said a bit blankly.
And if that wasn't bad enough…
BEEP!
BEEP!
BEEP!
Suddenly a loud alarm blared in both rooms as a red emergency light started going on. "What's going on?" Justin asked as he and the Grips all looked around in concern as the alarm and lights started going off.
"This doesn't look good dudes…." Geoff gulped a bit in worry.
"For this challenge, you've gotta get out before it's too late." Chris told everyone through some speakers inside both rooms of the sub.
"Too late?" Heather asked with a worried tone. No way that was good. "Too late for what?"
"Oh, you'll find out." Chris laughed as suddenly the pipes inside the sub began leaking with tremendous amounts of water with some also coming in through grates on the floor.
"What's this?" Justin asked as everyone began filling with dread and panic.
"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" Jasmine let out as the Gaffers all began trying to find ways to get out as the water rose up. If Jasmine wasn't panicking before, she certainly was now once the water began piling up. "We're all gonna die here! We're all gonna suffocate and die!"
"Jasmine! Calm down!" DJ was quickly there to help comfort the Australian Amazon. The brickhouse gently wrapped his arms around her quivering form and started to gently rock her and calm her down. "Look, we're gonna get out of this ok? We just gotta find an exit, how's it going guys?"
"Eh, could be better," Bridgette admitted as she felt around to try and find anything. She and most of the others were basically going around blind right now as the sub only had a few dinky lights that did nothing to brighten things up. "Can't really see right now so basically going off of touch alone."
"Hold on, I found something!" Lincoln told everyone. After feeling around, the white head eventually stumbled across a box that thankfully had a bunch of flashlights inside. "Yes! Alright everyone grab one and get to work, we got an exit to find."
Meanwhile with the Grips things weren't too much better. "Maybe getting rid of the wanna be crook so early wasn't the best idea," Justin said as he and the Grips were also working in the dark and were trying to feel around for anything.
"As much as I hate to say it you're right," Heather grumbled in agreement as she put her hand in front of her own face, she could just barely see it. "He at least knew a thing or two about seeing in the dark, can't make out anything in here,"
"Hey I got you guys!" Tyler grinned as he picked up the box of flashlights he found. "I found a bunch of flash-woah!"
But of course, Tyler being Tyler, he ended up tripping leading to all the flashlights in the box falling in the water. Ronnie Anne picked up one and tried to turn it on, but unfortunately the water did its job and made them completely unusable. "Of course…" Ronnie Anne let out as she pinched her temple. "Karma…"
"Hey wait, I think I see something dudes!" Despite it being super dark, Geoff looked towards the roof of the room and saw a hatch above them. "There's a hatch up there! That might be our way out!"
"Ow…" Tyler let out as he picked himself up, feeling around and finding there was also a hatch on the ground as well. "Oh hey! Think there's one here too! I'll get it open!"
Tyler then grabbed the top of the hatch and tried to pry it open, with Justin and Geoff both coming to help as well. But despite all three of their best efforts, they couldn't get it open. "Ugh, no good dudes, the things stuck good!" Geoff said as he waved his sore fingers around. But upon further examination, he saw that the hatch was actually locked with a combination dial on it. "Oh hey! It's a combo lock guys! We need the combination to get it open!"
"Sounds familiar?" Izzy smirked as she walked up to Izzy, Mr. Coconut in the Psycho Hose Beast hands. But Lindsay just stared dumbly at Izzy making the redhead deadpan.
"How are we ever going to get it open?" Lindsay asked, causing Izzy to facepalm.
"Look, just get that thing open quickly before the water level gets too high!" Ronnie Anne told everyone with Justin grabbing the numbers from Lindsay.
"I'll do it!" The handsome teen said only for Lindsay to take them back.
"I wanna do it!" Lindsay and Justin soon got into an argument over it…leading to the paper to fall into the water.
Izzy picked the paper up…only to see that the numbers were now all smeared and were completely unrecognizable. "Come on, come on, what are the numbers?" Justin asked as he and Lindsay leaned towards Izzy.
Izzy growled and crumbled up the paper in her hands before looking to Mr. Coconut. "You're telling me Mr. Coconut!" Izzy yelled out angrily. First Owen gets injured and now this?! She was at her wits end! "I'm surrounded by loons!"
"Oh where?" Justin asked as he looked around.
"I love ducks!" Lindsay clapped as Izzy screamed in frustration.
CONFESSIONAL – Ronnie Anne
"These people are going to drive me insane…" Ronnie Anne began pulling at her hair.
"Gah!" Harold let out as he emerged from the water. Like the Grips the Gaffers had managed to find the hatches above and below the water. Despite not having numbers Harold volunteered to pick the lock, evening having a stethoscope with him. He was confident he could crack it but then the water got too high for him and he wasn't able to hold his breath while cracking the combination. "I can't do it! I need more time! If only I was born with gills."
CONFESSIONAL – Harold
"How cool would it be if I had gills," Harold smiled at the thought of having the ability to breathe underwater. "I really should have been born with gills, life can be so unfair!"
"Me and Dawn are good at holding our breaths but we don't know anything about picking a lock," Bridgette sighed, anxiety flaring up as the water level only got higher and higher. "What do we do now?"
"The top hatch!" Leshawna pointed her flashlight to the hatch at the ceiling of the submarine. "We could boost each other up!"
"I don't think Jasmine is in any shape to boost anyone up," Trent pointed out as the Australian Amazon's panicking only got worse as the water level rose. "DJ, boost me up there and I'll try and get it open." DJ nodded his head and grabbed Trent by his legs and held the guitarist over his head so that he could reach the hatch and began pulling on it.
"Soooooo…" Over with the Grips the water had now risen up enough that everyone was just kinda floating there, all of them having panic in their eyes as their situation just went from bad to worse as Izzy looked around awkwardly. "What now?"
"I don't know, why don't you ask dumb and dumber over there!" Heather yelled out while pointing to Justin and Lindsay. "If you two weren't fighting over the combination we would have already been out by now!"
"Hold up guys, I think we can reach the top hatch now." Geoff pointed out the top hatch he spotted earlier and swam towards it. "Someone help me get this open!"
"I gotcha!" Tyler swam up to the hatch and began to help Geoff open it up. After a few moments they managed to get it open…only for a shark's head to stick out of it and bite towards them a few times with Geoff and Tyler quickly closing it while everyone watched with horrified looks. "…It's not an exit bros…"
"I just…about…got it!" Trent grunted on his team's half of the submarine as he managed to open the hatch…only for a stream of fire to shoot out of it with Trent closing it practically instantly. "…Yeah we might be kinda boned here guys."
"Any other ideas…" Lincoln fearfully asked as now everyone was beginning to float in the water as the level of it only continued to rise.
CHRIS AND CHEF
"So…a shark…and fire…" Chris slowly said as he peaked at the monitors showing the two teams in their submarine. Chris and Chef were using the time to play cards with actual chips on the line while the two teams competed. But after seeing the surprises in the top hatches of the sub as well as how high the water was getting Chris was getting a bit…worried. Don't get him wrong he definitely enjoyed putting the kids through the wringer but this was getting to be a bit too much even for him. "Don't you think that's a bit much."
Chef merely shrugged.
CONFESSIONAL – Chef
"Seriously! I'm just not in the mood!" Chef snapped as he held a fist up and pounded it on the table. "Busting my hump for a bunch of snot nosed…don't I deserve a little me time?!"
"Really it might be time to end the challenge," Chris told Chef as he put his cards down. At this point only their heads were above the water and there wasn't really a way for them to drain it all out now. "Seriously, the water's getting pretty high and most of those kids are terrible swimmers."
"Focus!" Chef yelled at Chris. "I want my chips back, I'm starving."
"This is getting serious!" Chris yelled back as Chef popped a chip into his mouth. "Look just-just turn off the water! The lever's right next to you!" Chef rolled his eyes and stretched his arm out to pull the lever that was pouring the water in…only to break it off accidentally making Chris gasp in horror. "We gotta get them outta there! Simple formula! No more contestants means no more show which means no more paycheck which means the end of my luxurious lifestyle!"
"Texas Hold Em?" Chef suggested as he held up the deck of cards he just shuffled.
"You're not hearing me!" Chris shouted in irritation.
"What Jim Rummy?" Chef shrugged.
"Hey Chris!" Entering the room they were in was Lily who was holding the coffee Chris requested from her in her hands. "I got your coffee!"
"Lily! Thanks!" Acting quick, Chris went in front of her and blocked the view of the monitors from the child's sightline as he took his coffee. No way was he gonna risk her seeing her brother and everyone else at the risk of drowning. "You know what…y-you have been working really hard lately! Why don't you head to my trailer and help yourself to some of the goodies in there?"
"Really?!" That seemed to do the trick as Lily was quick to take off.
"Phew…" Chris sighed in relief before turning back to the monitors and focusing on the problem at hand. "Ok, we gotta figure out a way to save them all!"
"Is this actually happening?! Are we actually at risk of dying?!" Ronnie Anne tried to remain strong throughout the whole thing. She didn't want anyone to see any sort of weakness from her. But as the water only continued to rise with no way of getting out clear to them Ronnie Anne felt panic and dread filling her being as tears began falling from her eyes. "I-I don't wanna die! I can't die like this!"
"Hey! Hey! Come on dude! Pull yourself together!" Geoff tried to console the crying Latina as he put a hand on her shoulder. "I promise none of us are gonna die! Any second now the water's gonna stop! They can't fill it up completely right?"
"Um, have you seen this show?!" Heather screamed, the queen bee also began to cry with panic. "Oh my gosh…I'm gonna die like this…I'm actually going to die…"
"Owen! I'm sorry!" Izzy cried out while clinging onto Mr. Coconut, the normally crazy girl was reduced to a crying mess as she wished she could at least spend the last few moments of her life with the guy she truly loved and the one that never judged her for her tendencies. "I shouldn't have acted so cold to you! I was-I was just so angry and stupid!"
"If I'm gonna die, I'm glad it's with you!" Lindsay shouted as she clung onto her boyfriend. "I love you Taylor!"
"I love you too Lindsay!" Tyler shouted back.
"If I die I hope my beautiful corpse is studied for science to help rid the world of ugly people!" Justin cried out.
"I can't die like this!" Mike yelled out as the Gaffers were also panicking greatly at the situation. "I've never even kissed a girl!"
"I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE!!!" Jasmine cried out while clinging onto DJ.
"MOMMA!" DJ cried as he also held onto Jasmine. "PLEASE SAVE US MOMMA!!!"
"Everyone please, we need to remain calm!" Dawn tried to get everyone to calm down as she swam to the middle of the room. "There has to be a way out, we just need to think!"
"How?!" Leshawna yelled back, trying desperately not to cry. "There's no way out, it's hopeless!"
"Wait a second…no it's not! Look! I still have these!" And in the midst of a true disaster, the hope for them all came from Harold's back pocket as he pulled out all the bendy straws he took from the Craft Service tent earlier. Everyone rose a brow at Harold but watched as he bended one and put it in his mouth like it was a snorkel before handing the straws to Leshawna. "Quick, help me make a snorkel!"
Acting quick, Harold dived down as Leshawna started stacking the straws onto each other with everyone desperately crossing their fingers that Harold could pull it off.
Watching this all was Chris who also got a spark of hope at seeing Harold take action. "Yes! Harold's gonna save the day!" Chris let out in relief. He wasn't out of the woods yet but he just had to pray that Harold could save everyone. "He'll open the hatch and the water will drain from both the rooms! And I'll still have a paycheck!"
Harold managed to get down to the bottom of the submarine and got to work on picking the submarine's lock. The water continued to rise in both rooms getting closer and closer by the second. "Welp…in case we die here, there's a secret I need to get off my chest." Lincoln sighed out as everyone looked towards him. If he was gonna die, he needed to at least admit this. "…I did not care for Jurassic Park."
"Oh no…" Dawn immediately let out with a worried look as everyone soon gave Lincoln shocked expressions.
"What?" Trent asked, needing to hear that again.
"I did not care for Jurassic Park." Lincoln stated again as everyone gasped.
"Wow-wait how can you even say that?" Mike inquired, everyone else sharing the same question.
"I just-I think people hype it up too much," Lincoln explained his reasoning for dissing one of the most beloved classics of all time. "They treat it like it's this golden movie when the plot doesn't even know what it wants to be,"
"What does that even-explain yourself," Bridgette narrowed her eyes at Lincoln.
"Like at first it tried to be a sci-fi movie, then it's a horror movie, then a conspiracy move, then an action movie," Lincoln listed everything that was crammed into the movie. "It's like-like it can't even decide what to do with itself."
"The whole theme of the movie was of man's illusion of control," Jasmine, who had briefly forgotten her fear to join in on the conversation, pointed out with multiple nods of agreement being sent her way. "Especially when playing God!"
"Besides there were many great actors in it." DJ spoke up, becoming uncharacteristically offended. "Jeff Goldblum, Wayne Knight, SAMUEL L JACKSON!"
"Amazing-Amazing actors. Amazing actors." Lincoln nodded in agreement with DJ's statement. "I just didn't care about them in the movie."
"Look even if you didn't like the plot it can still be good," Trent stated, also unable to believe Lincoln didn't like the movie. "Like Titantic."
"Never watched Titanic." Lincoln immediately said, getting multiple gasps again.
"You've never watched Titanic?!" Leshawna shouted as she glared at Lincoln while continuing to help Harold with his snorkel.
"It's such a romantic movie!" Bridgette claimed, also beginning to glare at Lincoln. "Do you not like classics?!"
"I like Ghostbuster," Lincoln said in response, remaining straight faced the entire time. "That is my answer to that statement."
"...Whatever..." Trent scoffed.
"Well there ya go," Lincoln rolled his eyes.
"....I like Ghostbusters too," Mike had to admit.
"Please hurry up Harold…" Dawn pleaded, and thankfully those pleads were soon answered.
Right when their conversation ended the water level began lowering at such a fast rate that in a matter of seconds, the water was completely drained from both rooms with everyone laying on the floor soaking wet as Harold stood up in triumph. "Yes! Yes! I did it!" Harold cheered for himself and expected everyone else to do the same as well, only to look and see nearly everyone had a rather sour expression on their face. "…What happened?"
"Apparently it's illegal to have an opinion," Lincoln snarked, earning him a number of unamused stares.
CONFESSIONAL – Mike
"We were seriously about to die! What's wrong with the people running this show?!" Mike yelled out in complete disbelief that his life was actually in danger not too long ago. "Maybe I shouldn't have signed up for it…"
CONFESSIONAL – Harold
"I had it all under control," Harold stated confidently, feeling pretty proud of himself for saving everyone's lives. "I work best under pressure. Haha! Pressure! Get it? Water pressure, hehehe. I'm hilarious. Even when my life is in danger."
CONFESSIONAL – Bridgette and Lincoln
"Come you can't be that upset with me," Lincoln rolled his eyes as Bridgette crossed her arms and looked away from him. "I was just stating my opinion, why is that so wrong?"
"Hmph," Bridgette let out as she rose her head up.
"It's not like I was hating on the movie, I just said I didn't care for it," Lincoln stated, yet Bridgette still didn't budge. "…Can we at least agree ET is boring?"
"…" Bridgette was silent…before sighing and giving a small smile to Lincoln. "Yeah, that movie is pretty boring."
"I know right," Lincoln chuckled a bit.
THAT NIGHT
That night everyone was sitting around a fire set up between the trailers while wearing bathrobes, trying to warm up after the events of today. Needless to say no one was keen on swimming for a good long time. Chris then walked up to them with many nasty looks being sent his way. "Ok…so…today was a bit much…I'll admit…" Chris stated as he scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "I promise that this was not the way things were supposed to go. There was a technical error and well…I'm glad to see you all still…ya know…alive and stuff."
While everyone was definitely caught off guard by Chris' words, Ronnie Anne wanted to get to the point of things. "Just please tell us no one is getting kicked off today…" The Hispanic teen asked while glaring daggers at the host. "After today I don't think anyone is ready to go through a Gilded Chris ceremony,"
"Yeah don't worry, this is a reward challenge and even if it wasn't supposed to be it would have been changed to one," Chris explained as everyone sighed in relief. "Gaffers congrats on both winning and saving everyone's lives! There was…a different reward planned but given the circumstances of what happened we decided to change it. So pack your bags because you lot are gonna spend the next three days living it up in a swanky penthouse at a five star hotel!"
Immediately the Gaffers were all perked up as they began cheering for that. "Hey why don't we get anything?!" Heather yelled out in disbelief that their team was gonna be left high and dry, not literally of course, after nearly dying. "We almost died too! And now we're down a team member!"
"True, but they won the challenge," Chris shrugged. He did feel guilty but not guilty enough to give both teams the reward. "Them's the rules."
The Grips all groaned or growled in response as the Gaffers all went to pack their stuff. But as they were, Geoff decided to walk up to Bridgette before she left to ask her something. "Hey Bridge," Geoff spoke up, getting his girlfriend's attention before she went into the girls trailer. "Look…during the obstacle course after I finished it…I saw you and Lincoln and well…when you landed on him-"
"Geoff, I promise that was just an accident," Bridgette immediately said as she quickly figured out what Geoff was worrying about with that. "The entire course was shaking, we lost our footing. That's all that happened,"
"I totally get it Bridge I do," Geoff said, making Brigette sigh in relief. "I…guess I just miss you and all. Being on separate teams kinda blows…"
"Aaaaaww, I miss you too Geoff," Bridgette gave her boyfriend a loving smile as she kissed him on the cheek. "Look after I get back and when we have some downtime from challenges we can spend some time together, just the two of us. Find a nice private place."
"Heh, sounds good. Love ya babe," Geoff smiled at Bridgette before she went into the trailer. But when she left, the party dude still couldn't help but look down at the ground, a feeling of uneasiness still holding onto him.
An hour later we see the Lamosine pull up to a fancy looking hotel. The Gaffers all exited and looked at the hotel in aw as they immediately ran inside with Dawn clinging to Lincoln all the way. Also clinging to Lincoln was Lily and Edward, Lily asked Chris if they could also spend the three days with Lincoln. Since there weren't gonna be challenges until then he didn't mind.
Not long after them an ambulance pulls up and Chris comes out of it while pushing a dazed out Owen on a wheel chair, the big guy's mouth wired shut to help the healing process. "Ok, here's the deal," Chris told the big guy with the broken jaw. "You can stay at the hotel with the Gaffers…if you promise not to sue,"
"Promise," Owen let out, still under the effect of medication.
"Promise? Promise-promise, not like fake promise. Fingers aren't crossed?" Owen held up his hands to show he wasn't with Chris nodding in approval as he started pushing Owen inside while looking towards the camera. "With this magical bit of legal maneuvering brings us to the end of a rather…tense episode! What disaster lies in store for our teams next time? I'm your host Chris Mclain asking you to tune in, tune on, and find out right here on Total. Drama. Action!"
