Cera simply glared at Fanu, a murderous stare appearing as he watched Fanu folding over from the punch in the gut. With this, he quickly ran at him again, a blade bursting into his hands as Fanu smirked, grabbing onto his arms, keeping the blade out of his range, opening his mouth as energy started pouring out, firing it directly at Cera's face, causing a massive explosion, causing Cera to stagger backwards.
"CERA!!" Roya shouted, preparing to run and save him, but he quickly shifted his left arm to her, making a slight gesture as the bun in his hair loosened, his hair falling down to his back. Fanu looked at him, smiling before he lifted his finger, firing multiple attacks at Cera, making sure he wouldn't get up. However, Cera seemed to be tanking each and every attack. He had put all of his energy into his defense. All Roya could do was simply watch in complete fear for Cera. Shiro couldn't live alone in a place like Averune.
With the final blast from Fanu, a large dust cloud had appeared beneath Cera, a loud laugh emerging from Fanu's lips.
"HERE, HE FALLS!! CERA!! It's too sad that I never got to learn who you are. The last thing I remembered of you was you CRYING over your best friend!! Isn't that so sa-" Fanu spoke before a hand had gripped to his face, slamming him into the ground. Fanu's eyes slowly opened, watching some sort of...paper.
Roya's eyes widened, watching Fanu on the ground, watching as he was lifted by his throat, starting to be aggressively choked. There wasn't a way. It couldn't be possible. Not after 2 years...but in a fight like this, it just had to be...
Fanu watched the being made of paper choke him, extending his leg into a kick, sending the sheets of paper flying as he glared at the cloud that slowly seemed to disappear. "As expected, nobody could ever reach my limit." He laughed before a cut had appeared on his cheek, blood seeping through. He looked at his hand, moving it towards his cheek. His own blood. In an instant, Cera had burst through the cloud, his clothes all torn with half of his face struggling to regenerate. But with his adrenaline, for the next few minutes...
Cera could feel no pain.
With a rageful stare on his face, he looked at Fanu, his once large haori now torn to shreds, launching his arm directly at Fanu's chest, moving at such a fast pace to the point where he couldn't even react to the hit. Seeing this, the smile on Cera's face widened as he launched a right hook, creating a chain by launching a left and then another right before empowering himself with an uppercut, sending Fanu into the air. Cera charged his attack, waiting for Fanu to land before striking him in the chest, sending him backwards. With a barely staggering breath, he knew he had no paper that he could currently use. It was all either burnt or destroyed.
"Paper boy has no papers left..." Fanu looked on the ground, laughing as he quickly got up again, charging a large attack, sending a large purple beam in the shape of a dragon towards the currently unrestricted Cera. His mind had gone beyond his limit, and his strength was about to reflect that. With an agile leap, he dodged the large dragon, watching it as it traced behind him, but he chose not to care for it. It wasn't important. As he landed, he seemed to be holding his arm. Fanu looked directly at it, laughing as he launched multiple dragons at him. But Cera didn't care.
"You said you have no limit...BUT I'M STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!" Cera shouted out loud, laughing as he tore his arm's skin off, creating a blade made of his own tissue. Using it, he leapt onto one of the dragon's bodies, stabbing into it as he ran, the excess energy pouring into his own body, looking at the rest of the dragons as he tossed his blade into the air, using it as a stake that pierced through each of the dragons, laughing as he flipped back onto the ground again, staring at Fanu.
"You act too high and mighty, Cera. For somebody who's 6-0 when it comes to dead friends, GOSH, YOU REALLY WON THERE!!" He shouted, mocking him before he came to a stop. He felt a directional slash on his torso, not even noticing Cera was directly in front of him. Using his hand, he gripped onto Fanu's hair, using his knee to kick him in the face, throwing him before stabbing him through the chest, roaring as he started pulling the blade down, hearing the agonizing screams of pain that left Fanu's lips. Roya watched in fear, seeing the blood spill everywhere. It reminded her of Cera, so many years ago...
The fight was almost over. Fanu was still standing despite his organs slowly slipping out of his body. Cera watched, moving his bloody hand into the body, clutching onto the heart, feeling it slowly beat. With a dark stare, he felt his hands...slowly...tighten...before there was nothing left to hold. Fanu's heart had been completely crushed by Cera. Dropping his blade, he slightly pushed the body onto the ground, taking a few deep breaths as he slowly walked to Roya. She quickly ran to him, holding onto him as his legs weakened, leaving him barely able to stand.
"Cera...you held your grudge for that long..."
"I know."
"I guess you had a lot of pent up rage you had to let out..."
"All the things he said, just made me remember how horrible it was. I won't stop...not until the rest of them are dead..." He spoke before his eyelids slowly started to close. Roya sighed, slowly dropping his body as she started to comfort him. Even though they were next to Fanu's dead corpse, there was a sense of tranquility. The wind flowed through Roya's hair before she started thinking to herself.
"We're going to get you back. With all of us. Just trust our word."
