Chapter 4 - Chapter4 victory

Paul grabbed Ryan and said, "Don't fight him, he has already learned to shift, but you haven't."

Ryan didn't listen, "It's okay, you can hit me however you want, I won't shift, and I can still beat you without shifted."

Edward said, "You brat, don't get too cocky, today I'll teach you a lesson."

Edward gradually grew taller, he turned out to be a bear, with thick fur,it felt like one swipe could break the bed.He looked like a tough and hard-to-handle guy.

The bear attacked him first, but he easily dodged it.

When his father made him go to the mountain every day to chop wood and forge iron, he was secretly training his body, and in terms of fighting, no one could beat him yet.

He grabbed a nearby stool and swung it fiercely at the bear. The bear reached out its arm to block, but he only feinted.

He stepped onto the table, poking the bear's eyes with two fingers.

Although the bear was very strong, it didn't think, so its weakness was easily found by him.

He had once seen dogs in the forest. The bear's fur was very thick all over, and its only weaknesses were its eyes and nose.

He poked the bear's eyes, then punched its nose again, and the bear let out a painful roar.

His leg kicked the bear's foot, directly knocking the bear to the ground.

Edward shifted back into his human form, "You are so despicable, resorting to tricks and schemes."

On the battle field, when fighting others, no matter what moves you use, the one that wins is the good move.

Edward threatened him, "When I become stronger,I will challenge you again, and I will definitely break your leg."

Paul scolded Edward, "You bully the weak but still lost in the end, don't you feel ashamed?"

Edward ran out angrily, knocking down several big trees.

When Paul looked at Ryan, his eyes were full of admiration, almost kneeling to the ground, "You are truly amazing,I am honored to know you."

Ryan became strong in the dormitory, so he would no longer be bullied by others.

In the dormitory a he other two looked at him with some fear.

His close combat skills among his peers are considered very impressive, even comparable to many mercenaries.

He didn't use his mental attacks just now, because the number of times he can use mental attacks is limited; he can only use it once a day, and using it too often would harm himself.

On Monday, the academy classes began, and this session wasOrc Theory class.

To Ryan's surprise, the teacher was actually Mr. Miller, whom he had met 6 years ago.

But Mr. Miller did not look at him, as if he did not recognize him.

Mr. Miller told everyone, "Although the most powerful in the entire academy are the Dragon Knights, that is because they have contracted with the dragon race. The individual combat strength of orcsis the strongest.

Orcs do not need to rely on weapons like warriors do in battle, nor do they need to depend on tools like assassins do.We just need to shift and have one last breath to fight to the end; this is our orc spirit."

That sounds really cool.

Ryan felt for the first time a sense of belonging to the Orc Academy.

But he was not clear about what his talent actually was. Because the shadow in his mind was always blurry, and even when he closed his eyes to meditate, he couldn't find it, but he always felt that what was in his mind contained a profound power,

Mr. Miller said, "Everyone at the Royal Academy is ranked according to combat power, from one star to nine stars. First-year students are all one star."

A student asked, "Sir, what is your rank?"

Mr. Miller took off his jacket, revealing five stars on his left arm. "I am a five-star. The principal of the academy is a six-star. In this country, there are no more than three people above seven stars. They are the most respected by everyone, but no one has ever seen their faces. Moreover, the higher the rank, the harder it is to advance."

Are there nine-star individuals?

Nine-star people only exist in legends; perhaps they have long since gone into seclusion.

Mr. Miller said, "Alright, I will now teach you how to shift. Close your eyes and meditate; the animal that appears before you represents the bloodline you have inherited. Try to merge with it."

Gradually, many students succeeded, and the classroom turned into a large zoo, with lions, tigers, elephants, and Paul shifted into a cow.

Gradually, the whole class succeeded, except Ryan failed.

Edward poked him with his paw, "Hurry up. Weren't you recommended by the Dragon Knight Academy dean? Your talent must be incredible, so why aren't you shifted?"

But no matter how hard Ryan tried, he still couldn't clearly see what bloodline he had actually inherited, and in the end, he could only shake his head.

Mr. Miller said, "You don't need to feel sad, there have indeed been people in the academy's history who couldn't shift when they first entered, because the bloodline they inherited was too powerful, and they couldn't shift before reaching adulthood, maybe when you grow up, you won't have any problems."

But Miller still had one thing he didn't say: it was possible that he really was useless, and the crystal ball used to test his talent had malfunctioned.

Not being able to shift is not the biggest problem; Ryan's current goal is to gather the tuition fees within a month, otherwise he will be sent back home.

Including Paul's, they need to earn 20 gold coins.

Paul looked at the map, "there is a squad inside the academy, which regularly posts combat missions. Completing these missions can earn commissions."

The squad is a building made of black stone, and when you push the door open, the most eye-catching thing is the oak mission board right in the center, covered with yellowed parchment, some of which have been torn and are incomplete.

Ryan noticed there were beginner, intermediate, and advanced missions here, and since he was a first-year student, he could only take the beginner missions.

"Obtain the fur of the Gale Wolf, reward 2 gold coins."

Ryan said, "I'll take this quest."

A burly man with a scarred face sat behind the guild counter, puffing on a pipe while keeping the accounts. Behind him was a row of weapon racks holding a few pawned swords and knives, probably left by some unlucky folks who couldn't repay their debts.

He looked at Ryan arrogantly, "A first-year student? This wolf isn't easy to deal with. Last time, some fool took the job and ended up chewed down to just his boots."

Ryan repeated again, "I'll take this mission."

The burly man handed him abronze tag engraved with the mission number, "Complete the mission within three days, or it will be void.
