Victoria Stone POV
Vicky lost hold of the old leather book and it fell to the floor of the pack library. There were old pages all over the place; some of them broke when they hit the ground. She was thinking about what to do for her Christmas party when she knocked over a stack of old pack records.
She said in a low voice, "Perfect," and got down on her knees to clean up the mess. She had to be beautiful and perfect all the time because she was Luna. She felt like a child breaking her grandmother's dishes right now.
Victoria picked up the old papers and looked at one page. Emily's name was written on it in fancy old handwriting. That was strange. These books were supposed to be really old pack records, not new stuff about Dominic's daughter.
The more she looked, the faster her heart stopped.
"The Last Alpha Female of Pine Ridge Pack," the title read. "Prophecy recorded 1823."
