Chapter 34 :Charlotte Walker, long time no see.

Her personality was rather aloof; she didn't enjoy the hustle and bustle of social gatherings. Given her status and youth, it was puzzling how she found herself outside the circles of the elite in Verdant City, often spending time with Leonard Fields to practice martial arts.

Since Chasel Mills moved into the villa next door to Leonard Fields, the Fields family had conducted a thorough investigation into him. Although they found nothing in the last five years, they did uncover some grudges from five years ago. Coupled with Chasel's recent actions, Tyra predicted that he might show up today; otherwise, she wouldn't have come to such an event.

When faced with Tyra's questioning, Cecilia Clarke's expression shifted multiple times. In the end, she lowered her head and softly replied, "No need."

Tyra didn't look back at her. Instead, she quickly walked up to Chasel Mills.

As soon as Tyra appeared, the security guards sensed something was off and stepped aside.

"Mr. Mills, are you alright?" Tyra called out, her face showing respect.

Ever since Chasel Mills revealed his master-level skills and chose not to hold her previous rudeness against her, even allowing Suzaku to guide her, Tyra had developed agenuine respect for him. It was a respect born from acknowledging strength. Moreover, Leonard Fields had lectured her afterward, reinforcing her admiration.

Chasel Mills seriously told her that he was not someone the Fields family could provoke. Tyra understood this immediately and wanted to take the initiative to get closer to him. She thought Suzaku would be here too, so she decided to come.

"You think I would be in any trouble?" Chasel Mills asked with a smile.

Tyra's usually cool and composed face showed a hint of embarrassment. "I was reckless. Mr. Mills, of course, you wouldn't be in any danger."Not to mention his identity, just his strength alone meant that no one in Verdant City could harm him.

"With your personality, I wouldn't expect you to come to places like this just to join the crowd," Chasel Mills said as he stepped into the main hall.

Tyra followed him, "I thought Teacher Suzaku would be coming with you."

As they walked into the hall, they left behind a group of stunned onlookers.

Nora Mills watched Chasel Mills's retreating figure, her emotions swirling in complexity once again. When did Chasel Mills get to know Tyra? And it seemed like their relationship was quite good. Was Tyra his source of confidence for coming here?

Samir's expression was nothing short of spectacular. As a member of the elite circle in Verdant City, he understood Tyra's character far better than Nora Mills did. She was a woman who looked down on associating with any second-generation heirs. Even the children of the Shen, Geng, and Yang families, who were nearly as powerful as the Fields family, wouldn't earn a smile from her.

So why was she smiling at Chasel Mills?

He simply couldn't wrap his head around it. Why was it that every time Chasel Mills seemed to be on the brink of disaster, someone would always appear to bail him out? Why? For a moment, Chasel Mills' identity piqued everyone's curiosity. Who was this man that could make the icy beauty Tyra smile warmly?

When had Verdant City produced such a figure?

However, while the commotion at the entrance was noticeable, it only caught the attention of afew. Most people's focus was actually on today's main character, Charlotte Walker.

In the grand hall, at the very back, were some of the true power players of Verdant City, mingling in their exclusive circle.

Charlotte Walker, the most popular star entrepreneur in Verdant City and a goddess in her own right, was in high demand as she prepared to sign on as the image ambassador for Qingshui Mountain City. At that moment, she was effortlessly charming everyone around her.

When Chasel Mills walked into the grand hall, he immediately spotted Charlotte. She was wearing a perfectly fitted white evening gown that accentuated her stunning figure, complemented by high heels that made her look even more elegant.

Her smooth, bare arms shone like pristine white lotus roots, untouched by the mud. Her long black hair cascaded down her back, framing her noble and strikingly beautiful face. Although she wore a smile, there was an undeniable air of cold elegance about her that made her seem untouchable.

At first glance, she resembled a queen striding through the world.

"President Walker, congratulations! You are the perfect choice as the image ambassador for Qingshui Mountain City," several people gathered around her exclaimed.Compliments flowed freely from the crowd, which included financial tycoons from Verdant City, company executives, and even powerful figures from the local government.

Additionally, representatives from some of the largest families in Verdant City, including the Qin, Shen, Geng, and Yang clans, were present for the press conference.

The signing event was set to officially begin at four in the afternoon, with about twenty minutes to go. After engaging in pleasant conversations with the influential figures, Charlotte took a moment to mingle among the young elites of Verdant City.

After all, many of these privileged young heirs were here specifically for her.Charlotte Walker wouldn't neglect their feelings.

Chasel Mills watched Charlotte from the crowd, a cold smile creeping onto his lips.

Compared to five years ago, Charlotte had matured significantly.

Her social skills were now much more refined.

Among the elite crowd, she moved effortlessly, skillfully controlling the atmosphere, making everyone around her dance to her rhythm, caught up in her magnetic presence.

Almost all the privileged young men, whether accompanied by a partner or not, put their best foot forward as Charlotte approached. They all tried hard to impress her, hoping to leave a good impression.

Even though many knew that Charlotte would never be interested in them, it didn't stop them from holding onto a glimmer of hope.

After all, Charlotte was still in her twenties, the prime of a woman's life.

Moreover, she had never been linked to any rumors or scandals; she was still single.

This press conference was different from traditional ones, as it gathered many of Verdant City's elite, taking on more of a cocktail party format.

Charlotte Walker held a glass of champagne in her hand, gracefully accepting toasts from mothers and raising her glass to them in return. As the rounds continued, the gazes of those around her grew increasingly intense.

Despite taking only small sips each time, the level of champagne in her glass hardly seemed to decrease.

As Charlotte made her way around the room, she eventually approached a nearby area.

Chasel Mills, standing by the drinks table, picked up a glass of champagne as well.

"Charlotte Walker, long time no see!" Chasel said casually.

His voice, though not loud, was clear enough for those nearby to hear.In an instant, the attention of the crowd shifted from Charlotte to Chasel.

"Who is this guy?"

"How rude can you be?"

"Is he not afraid of offending Charlotte?"

Whispers erupted among the guests, and many shot angry glares at Chasel.

In this gathering, regardless of their status, even the most powerful figures in the room would never dare to call Charlotte by her full name so casually. Let alone the younger ones like Chasel.

Even though they were the same age as Charlotte Walker, she was the current actual leader of the Walker family group, holding a status equivalent to that of their parents.

In fact, many of their parents would treat Charlotte with utmost respect and flattery when they met her.

Who would dare to be so rude?

Who would even think of being so disrespectful?

"Who do you think you are, to be so disrespectful to Charlotte?"

A man from the Shen family, one of the local wealthy families in Verdant City, scolded Chasel Mills.

However, Chasel Mills seemed to ignore him completely.

Instead, he took a step forward, walking toward Charlotte Walker.

Upon hearing Chasel's voice, Charlotte, who had been confidently controlling the atmosphere, suddenly froze, her faint smile faltering. She turned to look at Chasel Mills, who was approaching her.
